The Wraith are stronger in number, but their technology is lacking. For instance, their hyperdrive systems are not capable of long-term sustained use, needing to be modified for intergalactic travel. They also possess no shielding technology, and rely on the organic Hive's ability to "heal" itself. The hull is also weakened and damaged by hyperspace travel, so the ship must periodically stop in a series of jumps for long-term travel in order to let itself heal from the radiation generated by hyperspace. With the power harnessed from a Zero Point Module, they are no longer technologically inferior; their weapons are orders of magnitude stronger, the hyperdrive much more efficient and the hull of the Hive both heals itself much faster and can absorb punishment on the same order as the most advanced shield technology used by the Tau'ri, making the hull nearly impenetrable even to Asgard plasma beams, a direct hit resulted in minimal damage and the ship and could easily withstand Ancient Drone weapons. Several salvos of Drones, which would have destroyed a fleet of Ha'taks, did little if any damage this formidable vessel When Lt. Colonel John Sheppard and his team cloaked a Puddle Jumper to inspect the ship, it fired a blast in their direction. The Hive ship could detect them, even though they were cloaked, and they took a severe blow. The Daedalus came to their rescue, absorbing the blasts and their shields were holding. However, after they fired a plasma beam at the Hive, a massive power began to build up, before the Hive rapidly unleashed about a dozen extremely powerful energy blasts, each directly hitting the Daedalus. The Asgard shields were able to severely reduce the damages to the ship, however due to the Tau'ri's somewhat mediocre power source, the shield was depleted and vital systems went down. The increased power of the Hive's armaments fully is capable of depleting the Atlantis' shield when powered by three ZPM's in a matter of minutes. This stands in stark contrast to a fleet of Wraith Hive ships and Wraith cruiser escorts, which would have taken days to deplete a single ZPM powered Atlantis shield during the Wraith's second Siege of Atlantis.

This was kind of an unattractive monstrosity of a starship. But it was an interesting concept for the final episode of Atlantis. I also thought Atlantis ended rather abruptly & deserved a 2 part episode.

Yeah that's super Hive was a beast. Atlantis did end too soon they should have gotten at least another season or at the very least a movie. They should do a movie now. Get old Jack O'Neill out of retirement again they take Atlanta's back to the Pegasus Galaxy, and they find the destiny there for some reason. That would be awesome I would watch that a hundred times

@@StargateOmega That would be great. Although Richard Dean Anderson is almost 70 now. So maybe Ben Browder should be the one piloting the ancient chair. I always wondered what became of Todd, or if Ronon & Teyla made it back to Pegasus.

Well, they did Continuum & Ark of Truth for SG1. But (unfortunately) making a supplement to Atlantis would be difficult since it's been 11 years later & all the actors have gone in their own direction.

Most problems can be solved with money lol, Ronin could bankroll the whole movie now😎👍

As a singular ship, setting aside the destructive abilities, this ship is a very powerful ship. I know of other ships that have more fierce weaponry. But this ship heals itself and has a very hard outer shell with powerful force fields. Of course once Atlantis had a decent ZPM and some other help, it was destroyed. But this Super Hive was a dangerous and powerful vessel. We should have a Todd Day here on Earth to celebrate him for his selfless acts to keep Earth safe by pointing his friend John Shepard toward one of the ZPM's. Todd had a few tucked away. If I were to see him I'd want to give him a big hug. And see a tear of joy fall from his eyes. Todd was kind. (yeah right) Kidding aside, we would have been dead if not for ZPM power that Todd shared. That Super Hive would have grown way to big to beat. I wish we knew what Todd's real agenda was when he supplied that ZPM. (was it 1 or 2 ZPM's???)

I wouldn't doubt Todd had a few more zpms tucked away somewhere for his own agenda LOL

Stargate will come back I just have a feeling that it will and when it does they will do it right unlike Star Trek. It will take place 10 + years as Earth/Tau'ri being a galactic power with fleets of ships. Plenty of enemies still out there like the Aschen nobody really knows what happned to them. Also wouldn't mind some sort of crossover if done right... Twelve Colonies of Kobol really does fit in the Stargate universe when ya think about it.

Great ideas. If they do bring SG back, I hope they do a better job with it than they did with these new Startrek movies.

Mgm's actually reaching out to the fans for this job. It just held a Super Fan contest and they picked out nine superfans, to help them in the development of their new series or movie or whatever they're doing. The Stargate guy was actually chosen as one of the Super fans! I hope going to the actual fans of Stargate will make that series successful and good.

@@StargateOmegaSomething tells me these super fans are also Star Trek and Star War fans (like me) that are pissed off about what has happened to our beloved series/films which means Stargate will very likely be done right!

It looks to me like MGM is learning from the mistakes of CBS Paramount and Lucas / Disney. And Consulting the people who enjoy their franchises. Hopefully this will be a successful Venture and then become the standard in the future for new projects.

@@StargateOmegaThe thing that worries me is if a new Stargate series does happen it will be on the SyFy (dumb spelling) channel. SyFy channel has committed a lot of crimes against Sci-Fi world. I'd be more comfortable if it was on Netflix and not SyFy channel.
