I don't see modern undergarments being made very often, so this was a nice change. The garments you made were lovely, and I would like to see you make some more. I also really enjoy watching you make the historical garments. Your videos are great.
Thank you! I’m not going to forget historical makes. I have a historical project underway. But I could try to make some modern garments with perhaps some historocal inspiration.
@@withmyhandsdream oh that sounds very nice indeed. I sew and knit mostly modern pattern 's...but love all the vintage/historical and historical inspierd sewing. Made some 1940 knit and sewing patterns. But the historical sewing looks more like art you can ware so cool to see...not jet to tray myself but love to watch how its done. To see you do modern and historical is very inspirational.
These are really cute! Slow fashion modern things are also something I'd enjoy, especially things like these that aren't very mainstream sewing; I'd be interested in seeing some of it from time to time.
How fun! I love seeing that new Bernina. Mine is from 1976 and still sews like a champ! Good for you, sewing your own! I had to learn to sew my own underwear, too, because I'm just a weird size. I'm 6 feet tall with a narrow chest and a long waist, so not much fits, but large hips. I also have 26"(66cm) arms and a 36"(92cm) inseam! I've been sewing since 1972 for that reason. I think everyone should learn to fit themselves, sew themselves, and create themselves. Thank you for the lovely show!
Thanks! My bernina is about 15 years old so it’s not that new anymore but it is newer than your machine. I bought it when I got kids and started sewing for them. It has only basic stitches but it does work pretty well.
Aha! you've caught the DIY bra making bug! I can say that because I've been making my own underwear for more years than I care to remember and coincidentally, am planning an underwear sewing session in the near future. My preference is mostly to make several at one time after collecting pieces of lace etc whenever I see some that I like. Sometimes I buy lace fabric in the bridal section which is very expensive, but you only need to buy 10cm because the fabric is often 150cm wide, so the original price shock is soon gone. Because I also make all of my own clothes I often use offcuts to make a matching underwear set and while nobody else knows what I'm wearing underneath, it makes you feel good! Once again, love your videos and don't mind what you choose to share. Thanks again. ;-)
wow I am really inspired to try. I have a large cup size and bra shopping has definitely been getting harder. plus I like 1950s undergarments… Thank you for sharing. Now I need to get a slip pattern to ease myself into it and build my confidence
Well done! I like your combinations of lace, findings and fabrics. These all turned out so beautiful and elegant. Thanks for sharing! Much love from the Midwest US 💖
Lovely video! Your historical sewing videos are some of the very best on the internet, so please keep making them! It would be nice to see some modern sewing as well, either as a series or sprinkled in. I hope you will continue with more undergarments. Thanks!
Perhaps they used to look more like eyes? In Finnish, we forget about the eyes and call the whole set ”hooks”. Everyone just assumes that the eye-part comes with the hooks.

I could watch bra sewing all day!
These sets are really beautiful! I'd love to see more stuff like this, as well as your usual historical makes. 😊

We need to see the testing/fitting. Also it should be done at every stage.
I love your historical makes you are very talented so doing modern will be a really nice change.
Thank you!

Oh, thank you so much for your compliment! I’m trying to make videos that I’d like to watch and I hope people like them as well!
I love your historical content, and I also enjoyed this very much x 🌸🌷
Beautiful bras ❤
Lovely 😍. I would love to see more modern clothing with historical twist.💯
May I know where did you buy your foam bra cups? I’ve bought so many but I can never find the ones I want that actually fit like they are suppose to.
I have bought them from several places: The Bra Maker’s Supply, Kl24 (Karnaluks) or B-wear.
These sets are gorgeous. Will you do a tutorial.
This was great! Please show more!! :)
May I ask where you get the foam cups from? I can never find any that are like store bought bra cups
Several places. Lately I have ordered them either from B-wear in Sweden or Karnaluks in Estonia.
Really gorgeous work. Well done! Would you please also do a swimming suit?❤
Thank you for the idea! I actually need a full swimsuit! I’ll put it on my list if things to make!
what sewing machines do you use?
For this, I used my very basic Bernina Activa 210. You don’t need any special equipment to sew underwear.
😃👏👏👏 Gracias
Mitä kanavan sisältöön tulee, niin minulle kelpaa kaikki mikä sinua kiinnostaa!
Wait did you use a foam bra cup or sewed one? It doesn’t look sewn
Both. For example, the first bra has cups that I sewed together out of foam sheet and the blue one has ready-made cups.
What are the fabric name?
So,what inspired you to make these kind?
Well, the sad state of my old bras and panties really… :-D
How come they're called hooks and eyes instead of hooks and loops or hooky-loopy?
Perhaps they used to look more like eyes? In Finnish, we forget about the eyes and call the whole set ”hooks”. Everyone just assumes that the eye-part comes with the hooks.
