In 2020, a wealthy antique dealer who challenged the world to find his $2 million stash of gold announced that the treasure was found. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.
I would love to be a treasure hunter by trade. But I’ve heard way to often how governments won’t let you keep what you find. And in some cases the group that invested their money into locating the treasure come out at a loss or it takes a long time for the gov to pay you back.

Furthermore, this coin is full of sand... If you don't brush it gently, all you do is scratching the metal (gold is very soft).

Go try buying things with the gold coins I don’t think you can use them as money anymore things have changed we take quarters nickels dimes pennies half dollar or a one dollar coin I know those have value I can go walk into a store and buy something but the gold coins were used years ago when I wasn’t born people used to go on horses when there was no cars TVs used to be black and white if these gold coins can buy us things it’s worth it

I applaud that man for finding the treasure in the USA, but also for his wisdom. Finding the treasure is like winning the lottery; given the horror stories of lottery wins that went bad, I don't blame his decision for anonymity.
