Russia played a major role in ww2 and probably even had a bigger overall impact than the US did (as Russia should have because it was their war) - Let's not forget, Hitler invaded Russia in 1941, not the US.

    The more I live the more I despise governments. Those that discover treasure are almost ALWAYS stripped of it and granted NOTHING. Unless it's dealt with in a very specific way those that do the work and find the gold will see NONE of it.

      Those who find the treasure simply have to bill the governments expensively. And take their cut off the top for time and services rendered. I doubt they walk away with nothing since they do have access to attorneys. Technically, if the gold belongs to a defunct govt. like a monarchy which no longer exists an existing government can't claim it.

    Mel Fisher found most of those wrecks, starting in the 60's! He had leases on almost all of the ocean bottom from the keys north to Jacksonville.

      Actually a guy named Kip Wagner found the wrecks and invited Mel to join him. There’s a book called “Pieces Of Eight” that tells the whole story of how he found them. It’s a good read if you’re into that kind of stuff! Also Jonah found a massive amount of coins worth over 4 million in 2015 almost 300 years to the day!

    Me and my daughter were walking in the woods in Monmouth County New Jersey and I found an abandoned house had hundreds of dollars and silver coin several gold points and a lot of jewelry including the deed to the house going back till the 1840s I’ve never told anybody else about this besides my family

    6:45 Chinese Gold Pandas are minted with 99.9% fine gold. or 24K Gold. It is not the cost that stops most mints from minting with 24K, but the softness of gold.

      Very true,24k is so soft you can make an indentation with a fingernail if you do it hard enough. That's why 14k is so popular and expensive. It's strong enough to withhold a snatching with a good lock on the chain and it's luster is still golden and beautiful. 10k too cheap and ugly 18k too expensive 14k just right!

    at 11:49, the storage building find....dont get screwed like I did, I was told AFTER my storage unit went up for sale for non payment, that whatever the value is ABOVE(at the auction) what you owed the late fee for is YOURS to keep. So if your total bill was $1000 and the storage building sold at the auction for $2000, then you are owed the $1000 difference.

    Isn't there a movie about the American pillage of Iraqi gold called, "Three Kings." Never saw it, but recall trailer. Marky-Mark singing, "we 3 kings be stealing this gold," (to the tune of "we 3 kings of orient are").
    Regardless, not a down low theft. Came out in Mid-aughts? Or not.

    Most time value is found there’s a 30 day finders report and if they can’t find the original owners or inherent with then the objects found are yours. If u decide to report it there’s no law saying your have to report anything found
