- I used the Galaxy S23 Ultra for a month & the Pixel 7 Pro for over 5 months & here is my detailed camera comparison between the same.
I have covered detailed issues over the HDR processing, colour science, skin ton representation, zoom & special abilities of the camera. This took a long time to compile & make so please consider sharing the same.

I have accidentally disabled Video Stabilisation in the video samples. It was done by mistake since the toggle for it was in the setting and I couldn't see or check in the viewfinder (which is odd)
Please DO NOT conclude stabilisation based on my samples. Apologies for the negligence.

I've really grown to like the pixel photo capability. I would love to see tensor being made on a snapdragon chip for more power and efficiency and better video recording. I'm really on the fence about getting another pixel phone or a Galaxy ultra phone in a year or 2. But the photo capability and fast voice typing of the pixel have won me over right now, as well as the pixel software.

Sir, you keep complaining about the greens on the S23 Ultra and I honestly don't see anything wrong with it.. You're in my opinion making it out to be worse than it is and if you want a really natural picture, then turn off the Scene Optimizer on the S23 Ultra.. We know Samsung very well and it's usually turned on by default when using the camera. Of course there's going to be artificial stuff added to the image. Good comparison nonetheless though.
My problem was because I had the scene optimizer off. It was worse with it on. I specify greens and reds because the same issue is clearly seen in other brands I have used. Mostly OnePlus.
Also, even if I keep the colours aside, the halos & the random HDR processing at night is horrible for any phone costing as much

the greens are awful
always oversaturated, always too bright, sometimes blue-ish for no reason
it really ruins some shots
You are absolutely right on tjis point.... I am also using s22 ultra ans it also has the same issue...
Pixel 7 Pro is the best!!!!! Only in video there is more saturation, but overall its the clear Winner!!

Good work, good videos 🙌🙌😎😎, I will leave a recommendation, in the camera review, it would be better to show the images captured as large as possible, leave out the images of cell phones, and place only a reference text, because in this way the pictures taken look very small and that I'm watching it on my PC monitor 27 inches ... finally we all want to compare the differences and being so small images we can not see the fine details that can tip the balance. Wow! Amazing honest comparison. Pixel clearly better than Samsung, except 3x portrait shots and selfie camera. Not to mention Pixel does amazing job with moving subjects (kids or pets). Samsung shutter lag is horrible.

You buy Pixel only for the camera. So yeah, it would obviously be better than Samsung and Apple.

Also, I didn't disable it on purpose. It was definitely by mistake because the toggle is in the settings and not on the viewfinder.
I recently moved from Pixel to Samsung, I missed a lot of things, but the upgrade was very satisfying

It took me a lot of time (6 hrs editing alone)
Also to organise keep track and explain it in a video is very tough. People don't really like to watch long videos. So this made sense overall
S23u, and Samsung in general, has the worst photo processing
I recently just got back from a trip to Isla mujeres. I took a few pics of the same scene with the P7P and s23u. The P7P photos are just so much better. I put the s23u back in my bag and never took it back out

The next update is expected to solve a lot of things.
About the shutter speed you can download Camera Assistant from Galaxy Store & select an option called "prioritise shutter speed". Hope this helps.

No, update did not fixed that. Shutter lag still exists. Cannot do even a decent photo of sitting dog when he moves his head from left to the right lol. It is blured and ghosting. Try to do a pic of running dog or kids... It is a disgrace that £1399 samsung phone cannot do decent picture of moving kids... Have this phone since three weeks and use it on daily basis beside my iPhone 14 pro max so can see real world scenario differences. All those youtubers will not tell you this as they get freebies or money to praise phones

I’ve stumbled across this video after watching a few other comparison reviews, and this review is relatively on par with what I’ve seen in the previous comparisons.

@@TechThatOut I have a pixel7pro and i had the chance to test the s23 ultra and the pixel does way better in several photos than the s23, now i am testing against a Huawei p60 pro and still the p7pro in many situations is better than the Huawei, i was not expecting that, the pixel 7 pro has really great cameras
