I would just like to say, that I would like to dedicate this film to my late father Brian Carter who worked at Derbyshire County Council Reclamation Department, at the time when Shipley Wood , just changed to Britannia. And I can remember going down to see Shipley Wood just before the changes. Many thanks for the Happy Memories. Simon Carter
I was a repeat visitor in the 90s as a kid. I LOVED missile. We couldn't afford the likes of Alton Towers, but always had a great time at the American Adventure.
I would’ve loved to visit this park! Maybe one day I’ll get to see the site. Despite there not being a park, I’m sure there’s still some enjoyment out there at Shipley lake, nature itself is lovely!
This was the one I was waiting for and boy you did not disappoint 😊 brilliant video that brought all my childhood memories flooding back and gave me a little tear to what once was.
Hindsight is 20/20! You ain’t the only person who missed it though, I was born the year before the park closed. I never got the opportunity to go either!

That’s so lovely. I hope I did you and your father proud with this look back on the park.
@@Coaster_Cray_Cray Hi , just to let you know, that you did my dad very proud. And I'm very pleased as well, and thank you. All the Best. Simon

The park looked like so much fun! Such a shame it went away, I would’ve loved to go at least once. At least Missile is still open in Lowestoft!
It’s such a shame it went. I went to the site a few months ago and there is now nothing left. Great video as well

21:05 Fun Fact Runaway train after it's traveling convention actually did a year at Nottingham Goose FAIR 😊
That’s so cool! Hopefully it’ll come back one year!
A classic case of "too many cooks spoil the broth".
Too true!
Nice video :D
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Can you imagine if it got the b&m and CCI coasters the place would have been amazing
Oh it would definitely be a major player if those coasters made it to reality. They would’ve been the start of many new rides!
I'm so confused. I was born in 1973 and live in the Northwest but have never even heard of this place before.

Why Aztec Kingdom, when it was Native American themed?
I believe it was just its own separate area. Either way, those faces did become an iconic part of the park
