How much ZiG value to US$ is on the market. Currently it's a consumption people are talking about. The Fuel value is at US$2 billion a month, whilst there is US$90million worth of ZiG on the market. Zimbabweans are educated by ignorant of the facts.

Money mechanics dictate that the perception of currency conveys confidence in its value to the the perceiver, money holds no intrinsic value, its just bits of paper, the value is in the tangible resources, however in most countries those resources are controlled by the elites. Now if the distribution of wealth is favourable and the resources managed properly, your currency can draw confidence but if you have an elite that are corrupt and mismanaging then confidence in that currency is understandably very low

Your policies seem punitive to the average man when in fact it is the government that eroded trust in the financial institution. The level of ignorance is astounding. Bulawayo is the second biggest metro city in Zimbabwe, yet these guys don't know the trading practices there!! They don't know that the common currencies there are the rand and USD.
Banks don't with hold ZIG from the market. The takeaway is the transacting public is not going to the bank to withdraw cash. And the follow up becomes what more should be done to conscientize the public to access ZIG from the bank and use it.
There is no need to withdraw zig cash. It’s convenient to use it big shops where you swipe. Informal traders/businesses undervalue it so withdrawing it brings more losses
I don't think they are withholding it but it is a sign that the citizens do not have confidence in the banking system and currency. People still have scars from previous years when our funds were stollen from our accounts, the current incumbent has not done enough to repel that notion.
