I’ve used this technique many times with success, however, I’ve never used a texture over it in the way you have. That really does add another layer to this and as you say, makes it pop. Thank you for sharing it. I’m glad that you’re back. I hope that everything is ok. xox

Hi Allison, can I ask what texture mat you used to get that specific effect? It looks almost like a pan scourer but soft, like a sponge so I'm not sure what it is. These pieces are gorgeous! I'm crafting for a Xmas Fair at the moment and need some smaller crafts to do in between art projects while my paintings dry and these would be fantastic! I could even do some red/green/gold special festive ones! 😊

Glad to see you back. I was wondering if it would work to use the orange first all over and then do the colors? That way you wouldn’t need to reapply the colors after adding the orange. Do you think that would work? I do love the technique and the finished pieces. Thank you.

The stainless steel soaps are brilliant for burnishing too but they do really clean the smell of foods like onions and such off your hands, I use mine for both, cleaning my hands and I have one in my clay room for shaping my pendants, burnishing as well, but I haven't seen shapes like yours, mine is soap/oval shaped...

Just FYI - the stainless steel things to take smell off your hands really work well. But if your faucet is stainless or your sink is stainless, you can just rub smelly hands on there. Onion smell etc. is virtually gone after that! :)
