Back in the 90's our cuffs were so high we had to chop out skates to get that kind of angle. 35 years old now I feel like buying a pair of new skates just for the hell of it.
af1rs2jl same here man. Been 16 years and I just ordered a pair of k2 unnatural to keep my son company at our local skatepark. Makes him feel more comfortable with me out there, too. Feels good to be back on a pair of blades. Not doing near what I used to, but I can still drop in and do some front sides, makios, and souls grinds.
From the moment he jumped off the box to the second he landed it was like he never left the ground, one fluid movement with minimal resistance...No wonder I had so many falls, I was always taking to the rails with a lot of force and resistance it was always difficult to stay on to glide effortlessly
Brian youre the legend! Textbook for blading! I landed on this video today and it kicked my ass to take the skates out again and I finally landed royale today!!! I was always doing only soul-like tricks... well thumbs up :)
Hey sorry new guy here is it easier when learning grinds to have just 2 wheels per skate I have the sway 57s sorry if it’s a dumb question quite scary jumping on to anything with 4 wheels just think I won’t land on the frame instead land on one of the wheels and spin out
Got the exact same pair of skates dude, building myself to souls grind again after absolutely sacking it and doing my back in. Do you suggest I take out the two centre wheels with the Sway 57's?
Thank you, that technique of lining up with a crack and jumping into a random stance made me hyper extend my knee. And I noticed it’s not exactly the same stance when jumping onto a rail .. sorta complicated.. but ya hahah
I'm back to it at 37 after 10 years or more off. Weirdly, I'm struggling to get royales back.....but I managed to backside royale on my first attempt. Makes no sense to me 😂
Gpc Zeppelin That is called flat (freestyle is two wheels without anti rockers) , and the answer is maybe. Different frames have different hblock shape and size. You will have to get "lower"" to avoid wheel bite. Or get kaltik which have a weird, but good, hblock
He should've also explained the angle that beginners should attack the rail and that they should try to be on top of what they're grinding as much as possible. Can't believe you guys were trying to sell this lazy tutorial for $2.99.
+Tony Teh True. That was a mistake I made a LOT in the beginning. They tried to sell these tips? Lol. Come on, blading already is like not popular at all anymore...Charging 3 bucks for a simple trick tutorial just makes it look even worse!
Alright, I'm on a good track then... Figured that out somehow, though I still suck balls... I'm only doing Soul and Makio atm, I become retarded when attempting any kind of groove trick... :)
aragon has one of the cleanest royales ever
I am learning royale and i think im doing something like Aragon but no one gonna be better than prince of bladers
yeah. and speak clean on rythm.
Nah. BBell all day. May he RIP.
he literally isnt doing anything... and thats why it looks so clean
Thats the best royale I've ever seen, lol. Damn. Kid was born for blading.

Bra were the same age . I just got back to it to teach my 14 and 15 year old. Sk8 forever 🤘🤘🤘
yo man. I'm 33 haven't skated since 05. Started in 96... and I'm about to dust mine off too haha. Hope i don't snap my ankles !!

How to break your legs (with style) beginner tutorial
This is just kindergarten.
How to break your legs starts at “citric acid” and “sandwich” grinds
the real question is how do you drop in and get up that halfpipe

Awesome video. Great job putting stuff in perspective for those new skaters looking to learn.
Brings back memories!!!
Very good royal position, my inspiration to try...💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
Super helpful thanks !!

Nice advice
Still sad that brian left :(
he left because of a back injury but yeah
Im sure he'll be back soon...!
Gracias Aragon

++he makes every trick looks so easy++
Don’t know if it’s my body or my skates. But I’m having a hard time to get that angle.
so fresh so clean.
nice royale
Royal so simple but smooth
How do you do a Royale with cheese then? Great lesson!
We.need pro.tips like this
can you make a fly back flip tutorial
You can grind with normal rollerblades?
dope thanks
When I listen to him somehow I have the feeling his next sentence will be from surfer dude :)
still watching this in 2020
still in 2022 ;o) high5
Always said probs to the riders hitting a rail chill that takes something else to really commit thanks for the vdo a-some.)
what skates is he using? genesys 10's?
John Olsen nope, this is the Aragon 4, but he has his own custom skates at the video.
Bro where’s the kt Royal at? No one can do that anymore?
A LEGIT CHAMP RIGHT THERE. I WISH THEY NEVER QUIT. HE LOOKS THE SAME :)
does this work with freestyle (4 wheels) aggressive skates?
Gpc Zeppelin That is called flat (freestyle is two wheels without anti rockers) , and the answer is maybe. Different frames have different hblock shape and size. You will have to get "lower"" to avoid wheel bite. Or get kaltik which have a weird, but good, hblock
Right. it's flat (my bad). ok thanks. It's because I really like flat but I want to be able to grind.
What's the point of wearing a helmet and not having it done up
is it ok to wax the rail with poo? I did it yesterday and it was slippy as fuk!!
? Y tho
Yes, I
Recommend using poo with sweetcorn in it.
It really helps.
Is this a joke? Knowing the internet I can’t tell anymore.
Do rails need to be waxed? they look pretty slippery to me
Gpc Zeppelin i recommend you check the rail before grinding because if you just grind on its gonna be slippery or not slippery
How do you do a Tails Filp Aragon 😋🤘🏼🤘🏼
how to do soul grind
+Ali Durukalp just put your feet like soul grind and turn body to the obstacle. Sorry my english :/
do you have to have slids
Just bend your knees likes crazy yo! Works great for every grind.
Cleanest Royale. I can only do a makio and 180 :c
Yess brian, in no time ! Not that easy 😅
How do you kick flip?
I wish my soles were 36 ft wide back in 94.
technique !!
Wooooop
Igual me caigo de pompis y duele :''v
Jaja te acostumbras luego xd
the Prince himself
Perhaps he should have had his helmet strapped considering this is an instructional video for beginners / young people
I'M Brasileiro ...ok
cant teach me plissss

You know what they don't call a royale in Amsterdam? A quarter pounder :)
Just lean in and glide.
He should've also explained the angle that beginners should attack the rail and that they should try to be on top of what they're grinding as much as possible. Can't believe you guys were trying to sell this lazy tutorial for $2.99.

+Tony Teh Could you elaborate on this please? What's the angle, where should my weight be? :D
+Dragisa Boca your weight should be over your skates and and just take a slight angle when approaching the rail.
Alright, I'm on a good track then... Figured that out somehow, though I still suck balls...
I'm only doing Soul and Makio atm, I become retarded when attempting any kind of groove trick... :)
just keep practicing! :)
pro tip: if you arent gonna buckle your helmet, then you might as well go for full cool factor and not wear it
Well how else would you look like a buckethead?
in Amsterdam they call it a royale with cheese
escoooooo.......escoooooo......escooooo!!!!!!
I wish Brian was my wife
Back skating again. Yesterday I broke my back...Spinal.
you dont do a royale
Not buckling the helmet defeats the whole purpose of wearing it, if you think your too cool for helmet prepare for skull fractures lol
He could get lucky while unlucky. However, you are probably right ;)
