I've also been thinking about that. Other people fought tooth and nail to get out of segregation, and yet now people are wishing for it upon themselves?
I thought about this as well. Maybe im the crazy one, but here goes. For the sake of argument, let's say there are currently 70 genders. I know, i know, it could be potentially infinite as new ones are being made up, i mean, "discovered" all the time, but let's work with 70 for now. There exists Gender Transition Surgery where you can become your new gender. There's nothing wrong with categorising people... it's actually very natural to do so. Sharks are different to Gorilla, Gorillas are different to Humans, Men are different to Women, Women are different to Girls, Ladies with brown hair are different to Ladies with blonde hair. You can keep segregating endless, and it's the very natural to do so. People who don't identify with the categories they are in... are just wrong. It's not that you don't agree with the category within but the stereotypes that come with that category. And rather than cancelling the culture of stereotyping, people have decided to cancel the culture of...telling people who you are (categorization). Which is stupid. At the very least, don't attempt to change the category of who you are, just: 1. ignore the fact that people are stereotyping you or 2. challenge them for stereotyping you. It's like when you go to the gym and you put that 20kg dumbells in the 14kg dumbells slot... that's stupid, and annoying.

Mental health is a serious thing. Both actresses have struggled with their mental health in other areas of their life at a younger age and now they are struggling in this area. This may cause problems to those who has sex-related conditions. For example, CAIS. People with CAIS looks almost exactly like a woman, and they would be raised as a woman. Other examples include Klinefelter or Turner, they don't even have XY or XX (they have XXY and XO) Social construct is confusing definitely, but biology is not that clean-cut either. Oversimplifying biology is quite a big mistake, to me.
Easy solution is to make the Disabled toilet "Other". Those disabled people complaining that trans would be in there already accept there is a baby changing fold out in there for males and females to use. Those trans who don't want to out themselves by going in "Other" just need to bring a plastic baby doll with them everywhere so they have an excuse to go in there for what seems to be changing that baby. Those who are transage and wear adult diapers are also accomodated by the baby changing facilities. Those who are transhuman (i.e. cyborgs) may need all the extra space you tend to get in these larger single person cubicles. Those who are conjoined twins can't help but need this extra space. Those who are furries who identify as a pantomime horse need all the space they can get to both get inside this larger cubicle. I do believe we should all be open-minded and respectful towards other people's cultures and beliefs, especially if they have nowhere else to practice them without fear of persecution. But everyone has to do their part, not just the nation one migrates to. Just because said nation gives you the freedom to keep your culture alive, that doesn't mean you can do whatever the hell you want if it comes at the expense of other people's way of life. And rather than cancelling the culture of stereotyping, people have decided to cancel the culture of...telling people who you are (categorization).

At the very least, don't attempt to change the category of who you are, just: 1. ignore the fact that people are stereotyping you or 2. challenge them for stereotyping you.

@@jeezus666 I agree that the "explaining my pronouns" is the dumbest reason but come on, being rich and having a big house doesnt mean you can't struggle in life wtf
When people claim that terms like "Men and Women, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls" aren't inclusive enough, then it is they who are excluding themselves, not the language.
It's a good point. It's a proper self imposed sort of exclusion. It's exhausting.
Right!! "Ladies, gentlemen, zirs and theys"...?? I can't. 😂😂
One of my sisters decided she's a "they/ them"... kept my mom up till midnight on Christmas Eve yelling at her because somebody misgendered her at dinner, then refused to come to Christmas brunch at my house. 🙄
My other sister in CA identifies as a "trans man"... my dad threw a fit and said they're not coming to visit us because he doesn't want to bring his "trans son" to our conservative household, even though we never said a word about it. Soooo... you're cutting off your grandkids and sane daughter, to affirm your mentally ill daughter? Gotcha. 🙄
The crazy has taken over, folks. They truly are excluding themselves and playing victim. It's like stabbing yourself so you can cry about bleeding.
YEEEESSSSS!!!
@@BuckleBunnyBeth Have you had conversations with your sisters to understand them better I wonder?
@@Readysetgo2007 of course. They're fully indoctrinated, and if I say anything contrary to their programming then I'm a horrible person. Meanwhile, they're using their gender ideology to drive a wedge between themselves and the people who love them, while blaming everyone else.
One is in denial of the trauma she suffered from her mother, and my dad is in denial that he was complicit so he affirms her "transition" because it's easier than accepting responsibility for her mental illness.
The other has always run roughshod over our mother, her only "trauma" was being spoiled rotten and not being disciplined as a child... now she uses her liberal college education (paid for by daddy) as a weapon against everyone with a differing opinion, and being "misgendered" is the latest in a long list of excuses to spew venom at people.
I understand them perfectly.
I personally think it's ridiculous. Like wtf is the world coming to and why are we allowing it.
They dont do Christmas concerts at my sons school because a lot of Indians kids go there. I'm not racist, but why are we changing how we do things for other people's beliefs. I just dont understand. Other countries aren't doing that.
Does anyone else feel the same?
While I don't experience that personally because I live in a small, for the most part culturally homogeneous nation, I do sympathize with your frustration.
Like it or not, you *must* respect and adapt to your host's social expectations and values the same way you'd want to be respected.
It's hypocritical that western nations are expected to bend over backwards to please immigrants' needs at the expense of their own people's safety, when those nations said immigrants came from aren't held to the same standard and would never offer the same courtesy. I'm not xenophobic by any stretch of the imagination, but the increasing number in terrorist attacks by religious extremists makes it harder to determine who deserves the benefit of the doubt and the chance of a better life.

This is so ridiculous. Differentiating of bathrooms and pronouns have no connotation. Bathrooms have same access it’s not like you go into a mens bathroom as a bio women and only find urinals. Pronouns are simply used to reference a person - whether he/she or misidentified neither have a negative/positive connotation. Why is so offensive to use the “wrong” one.

And for the love of god why do people even care. Saying that men and women are equal and then saying it's so important to call by their chosen gender identity. Most trans people i have seen just posess some of the most basic stereotypes of the oposite sex. I have a friend who is a lesbian, is what you'd call a tom boy. She told she doesn't feel like a she but as they. When i asked why she said because she has a lot masculine traits. I then said she is not really a lesbian then . She got mad before she realised what i meant. We had a good laugh and that pronaun bs was never mentioned again. This "identifying" thing is so weird. "I can't identify with this character because they aren't the same sex/race/whatever as me."

Which is fair. But let's assume for a second that society has "always" consisted of two genders: Male and Nonbinary.
Every day you are confronted by those two categories. Bathrooms, forms, you driver's license, everything requires you to put yourself in one of those two boxes. Everyone else seems to be fine with that. They don't have to consciously think for a second about that. But you don't really feel conmected to either. You are definitely not male, so you choose nonbinary. But everytime you go to the bathroom or fill out some form, you are reminded that you don't really fit into society. It gets tiring.
