    i highly recommend damp styling! i get much more definition in my wavy (2B/C) hair with damp styling. applying to soaking wet hair never worked for my wavy hair. my hair seems very similar to your's. i would love to see you do damp styling. i'm also loving the wash now/style later. i barely wet my hair in the morning and then apply my product. much more definition than a full wash/style/dry day. i've also noticed that i get much more definition when i scrunch WHILE i'm diffusing just like i used to do before CGM.

    I love that you did a video about this! I've found lately that I don't style my hair after washing it. I usually wash at night, and if I'm not going anywhere I may leave it up for a day or two before I bother styling it.

    I tried this method this morning. I had washed my hair yesterday, but was too lazy/busy with a sick kid to even bother putting any product in it. So this morning I wet it down again in the sink, and did my normal styling routine...turned out great!

    Thanks for the video. Would love to know your thoughts on the Hask and Renpure brands. They’re supposed to be “clean” brands w/o sulfates (not sure about silicones) and they’re recently readily available at Walmart, Target and CVS. I hear great things, but again, would ❤️ your opinion:)

    I’m not sure which superglue you used, but I would recommend Gorilla Glue. It really is amazing. I use it to glue my pop socket to my waterproof case, because otherwise the pop socket falls off. 🙃

I also have wet frizz, I only started CGM (with a tiny bit of cheating like brushing 😊) about 3 months ago and I have learnt so much from you so thank you 💞 xxx

    Have you tried standing in a hot steamy room, like let the shower run to open the cuticle? Then the most bottle and hot water on hands works so amazing g for restyling that way you need like a styling spray very lightly misted because the cuticle is open to accept the product and closes quickly also - I need a steamer cause I don’t wanna waste water - but yea curious if you’d try it? Also have you tried gvp PM styling lotion? (Has water soluble silicones in it so is cg friendly (cg modified) and you can soak the hair in it on day one and very little gel as a seal and it gives amazing volume cause it’s a product with consistency of water....and because of that I use a squirt bottle to apply it AND IT IS AMAZING. YOU CAN DO IT CLUMP BY clump (sorry caps) OR not - amazing product and way to apply - wanted to see if you’d try that out as well ❤️

    Hey Courtney!! Suggestion for your diffuser! Since the Dyson comes with two attachments meant for straight hair, that I'd never use, I followed this video to be able to use this diffuser. After i cut it, I used epoxy to glue the pieces together. Easy peasy!!!! The name of the video is "Dyson hack with the black orchid diffuser". I had the same issue with the magnets as you. They kept calling off due to the heat. Never has an issue using this hack :)

    • @rosannecasuphotography
      @rosannecasuphotography 4 роки тому +1

      Karrie Lyne I also used this hack. I cut my concentrator attachment as per this video and glued it to the inner ring of the Xtava Black Orchid diffuser using a glue specifically for gluing plastic (Selleys All Plastic Fix Glue + Primer) which I purchased at Bunnings here in Australia. You should be able to find a similar glue at any big box hardware store. Worked perfectly - the diffuser does not fall off.

      No Lie, I have the exact same problem! I mentioned it and another video of hers and somebody replied to me with the weirdest response about supposedly how to fix it but their answer was like comb your hair with conditioner... I already do that that wasn't what I was talking about I'm talking about when I try to do my hair any other direction than the part it wants to do: no part, comb it back or come it forward it gets so tangled

    • @juliebruce1114
      @juliebruce1114 4 роки тому +3

      I have the same issue. I actually don’t style my hair upside down anymore. I style right side up, then flip over to use a brush to distribute my products evenly. (I brush on top and underneath)When I flip back over I brush my hair to put it into place before scrunching and plopping. Hope that helps!

    I’m always super jealous of people who can diffuse their hair for just 30 minutes. Mine takes hours to get completely dry. Sigh.

    • @SwavyCurlyCourtney
      @SwavyCurlyCourtney  4 роки тому

      Oof! That is so tough!!! Hugs! I do cheat a bit and use medium heat and high speed. I also just frankly quite diffusing at 30 min wether my hair is dry or not. Usually it’s about 90% dry at that point. And takes anywhere from 30-60 min to finish air drying. 🤷🏼‍♀️
