I did that with my 2015 but did 3 inch leveling kit on my 6 inch struts and my front differential snapped. Had to get a new one and welded bump stops on frame Be careful
Mine just did the same thing stock axles were binding too much and cracked diff housing. I got the trakmotive axles now and removed spacers. Rode like shit with spacers on top
Ok now I know what I want for my first time dodge ram now thanks for this vid man. You mind if i carry over that green? Gonna use that for my business colors LOL
So you have a 6” lift and then added a 2” spacer. Is the spacer actually 2” thick or are they like 1.25? I have a 6” rough country and I want to order the 3” kit to put on top, it’s a true 2” lift so I’ll technically be at 9” overall
It’s a true 2” I wouldn’t recommend going much over that because it stresses all your front end parts pretty bad and the angles of the control arms and cv axles are bad, I’ve gone through 2 cv axles already.
Dude yea I just put a 2.5” level on top of the 6”struts and guess what I’m doing tmr taking the level the hell outta there the angles are so bad it definitely looks good though so ain’t tryna burn through axles let me know if you find a better way to run a level on top I’d be really interested in trying something else out good video though bro 💯
@@AustinFredericks ok thanks for the info I’m currently installing my lift rn got the front I’m gonna do the rear this weekend I also did the 6” struts with a 2.5” level stacked on top
What springs did you use and do you have a link to them. Did mines today and the rear is squatted wanna fix it but having issues with what spring size to use all I can find is 1inch rear lift springs
Hey! Just wondering if you’re still Running the 8” lift. I have the same 6” rough country lift on my 2021 ram rebel and was considering adding an additional 2” spacer as well. I’m curious how long you’ve been running the 8” and what your thoughts are after some drive time. Any damage or increased wear ? How’s the tire wear ?
I had a rough country lift and put the 2.5" level in front and 2" in rear. It allowed me to clear a 38 with a 20x10 wheel -24 offset. I will say this, you put your CV axles in bad angles, you will wear the upper control arm ball joints out and outer tie rods. You can use the shock from rough country lift, but they will be over extended.
thanks for the heads up, maybe i will try a 1" spacer instead. Definately dont want to cause more additional wear and problems than what its worth.@@michaelhorton6980
@@michaelhorton6980 do you think the cv axles and ball joints wore out because of the added 2 inches ontop of the lift kit or because you have 38 inch tires on? or do you think they wore out because of both the tire size and the extra lift?
Would you think this method would work on a 2019 ram 1500 classic 4x4 on top of the 6 inch lift strut? If so, where did u get the leveling kit? Great truck
I’d say it’s safe to say you’re dead wrong. I have a 2005 GMC Yukon XL with a 6.5 inch BDS high clearance suspension lift,a leveling kit on top of that which is 3 inch keys and 3 inch pucks in the rear. It also has a 3 inch body lift for a total of 12.5 inches of lift. I’ve put 129,000 miles on that setup without the slightest issue 😂
Same I have RC 5’ kit Ima add 3’ level kit on front n 2’ on rear
What about the rear what did you due to fix the rear squat.
I did that with my 2015 but did 3 inch leveling kit on my 6 inch struts and my front differential snapped. Had to get a new one and welded bump stops on frame
Be careful
Why did you weld bump stops on frame ?

Go for it!
It's definitely not dodge
For the front did you have any issues with the angle of the axle shafts? I did a 6 on mine and it destroyed one side axle joint but not the other.
I had a 6in RC loaded strut lift on my f150 and then stacked a 2.5 in level on and it absolutely destroyed my CV axles so I just went back to a 6
So you have a 6” lift and then added a 2” spacer. Is the spacer actually 2” thick or are they like 1.25? I have a 6” rough country and I want to order the 3” kit to put on top, it’s a true 2” lift so I’ll technically be at 9” overall
I have seen another guy put a 4” lift on top of the 6” lift block and he hasn’t had any problems so far
It’s a true 2” I wouldn’t recommend going much over that because it stresses all your front end parts pretty bad and the angles of the control arms and cv axles are bad, I’ve gone through 2 cv axles already.

You need to buy the 3.5 UCA to get a good angle
@@RamStance310I got the same exact truck with 6 inch rough country the 3.5 uca gives better angles or what you mean
What did you do for the spring not to rub on the steering knuckle
i’m having this problem as well. have you figured anything out?
I’m adding a 2” leveling kit on top of my 6” and my strut spring is like .5” from hitting control arm. Did you have that problem?
i’m having this problem, have you figured anything out ? i can drive it but only half of steering wheel turn before it hits
Would this work with on a 2022 Ram Rebel Ecodiesel that already has a 6” Rough Country lift with the Vertex shock system?
yes it will work but it isn’t advised
I dont go offroading at all and its just driven to and from work. Would that make it better?
Looks sick.
are you still running this 8" setup? still going through cv axles and balljoints?
Still running this setup yes. I blew cv axles when doing a 4x4 launch at the dunes
Thanks for the reply. im defiantly considering it aswell, any other issues or extra tire wear or did you get another alignment?@@AustinFredericks
Those trucks have leaf spring again?
1500s and 2500s have coil in the rear
Do you have 6” coil spacers in the rear or the lift coils?
Mine came with a 5” lift block to go on top of the coils and bolts to the Frame
@@AustinFredericks ok thanks for the info I’m currently installing my lift rn got the front I’m gonna do the rear this weekend I also did the 6” struts with a 2.5” level stacked on top
Sweet!
Hey did you end up switching upper control arms if so what brand did you go with I need to order some so I can leave the level in
How does it ride
Definitely a lot stiffer but not horrible
truck looks perfect bro, no need to go higher in the rear!
I lifted the back another 1.5” and it sits perfectly level now. It was hard to tell on video but it squatted pretty bad on level surfaces
It looked stupid squatted like that. You dweebs gotta stop embarrassing yourselves with this shit. He was right to lift the back.

Just do 1in and should get away with it.
7in lift isn’t bad but over doing it with 8 or 9in gives bad angles on upper ball joints and cv axles .

Only thing missing is 24 in rims with 37inch tires
