i did the same years ago. I swapped my 900NXS for 2 SC5000 and never looked back. and best of all, denon hardware only gets better the longer you have it, as new features and improvements are added with every firmware update. Pioneer players only get older, not better.
Never got a new features in a firmwares update with my XDJ-700, XDJ-1000. The players are not designed (powerful enought) for receive new features... they release an enhanced new model for this purpose.
Last year I was ready to get a pair of XDJ1000Mk2 to use at home. Luckily I discovered, that for less money I can get a pair of SC6K. They ended up providing more functionality than even a CDJ3K setup would. I combined my Denon decks with a Xone 96 mixer - really a dream setup for me after spending a lot of time on vinyl with Xone62 and 92 when I got started as a DJ years ago.
I sold my Nexus rig & got a pair of SC6KMs & X1850 & later a pair of LC6Ks and it's done wonders for my work flow if nothing else. Brand Tribalism within the DJ community is a real thing & is toxic. Fans of either or will talk crap about the other without ever laying a hand on the other gear.
It’s just an incredible unit. No need to even have a laptop if you can’t be assed with that. You can set all the cues and loops etc on the streaming apps right on the unit. Then they stay there when you next load that track. They are insane to be honest and I love them. I paired them with the x1850 mixer and never been happier. Ok so I’m lazy and can’t be assed to keep downloading every track and putting it on USB every time I find a new track I like….but these are great for discovering new music I wouldn’t have normally before due to these streaming services available direct on the units themselves. Literally jump on for a drum and bass mix. Session that for a while and then can just jump to funky disco or hip hop set without having to actually own and download the tracks. Awesome for when you’re not sure what mood you’re in. Love them. Skips that time and barrier of downloading every tune. Just jump on and find some bangers! Quality
I've had my SC6000M decks for about 18 months now and absolutely love them. Any time I use Pioneer gear in clubs it always feels like a massive downgrade. Since then I've gotten a Prime 2 to use for some of my mobile gigs. And again that blows away the nearest Pioneer equivalent (the XDJ units).
This is the same for me going from an Allen and Heath DB4 mixer (or even my Roland dj 808) to the pioneer mixers. Pioneer is dated and clunky (yes they are sturdy I will give them that)...I truly think the dj scene I am in (underground house and techno) is being creatively hampered by everyones use of pioneer gear.

I love my Denon SC5000's...except for one thing. Still no stacked wave form deck B! You can stack wave forms between layers on the same deck, but you can't stack the waveform from the other physical deck the way the new Nexus gear can.
I agree Matt Holmes!! Couldn't believe it when I went to do it on some 6000's and the guy who owned them said, you can't do it!! Wtf!! I said but you can on the Prime 4?? So why would Denon not include that function on all their kit for consistency?? Crazy!!
Got these about a year ago now and have loved every minute of use. Hooked up to my DB4 mixer I've now got my ideal setup. Would take these over Pioneer decks every time now
I have to correct you on one thing. When the SC6000/M's came out there was a huge supply chain issue because of COVID. It took me 6 months to get my SC6000's. I was able to get the X1850 in two months. NOW it might be a bit different. But at first people were able to get the CDJ3000's before the SCs.
After playing on Pioneer Equipment and using rekordbox for almost 20 years, I finally pulled the plug on them due to their incredibly pathetic customer service software team and they're overpriced equipment. I have moved over to Denon LC 6000s, high torque Audio Technica turntables and a top of the line Numark mixer that Serato capable. I'm a much happier person having taking Pioneer out of the equation in my DJ booth. It's a damn shame that they've dropped the ball and they are going to be falling behind Denon tremendously now. Everybody is pivoting towards Denon equipment.
Call me oldschool as when I started I had only the technics turntables with the wheel pitch, and later switched to the sl1210 and the denon rackmount cd player. A good dj adapts to many situations and equipments, and that's what separates newbies from the real pro's. Focus on the music and not so much all the circus tricks you can do with all the equipment for a empty dancefloor. Give me 2 gramophones and I'll manually sync them to mix, really guys, who cares in the Denon vs Pioneer subject. Just be happy we are living in a era where you are spoiled for choice and focus on your music selection. Most of the biggest names in DJing I played with over the years couldn't mix for shit, but their music selection made dancefloors burst at the seams time and time again. Be well and happy djing.
You have roll on CDJ 3000! Just press "SLIP" and on the screen you have roll loop and cue on cue buttons same time!😉Many DJs (me included) like to mix on 4 decks on actual 4 decks! What you do when you wanna press some cue points same time on 2 decks and happen to be on different layer on same deck?🤭
Since that video I bought another 4 cdj-3000s. Still would have been cheaper to buy 4 sc6000m. I love my 3000s but the Denon has alot more going for it.
Many would go with Denon if it had a powerful mixer. I mean in the pro field. For a DJ who doesn't perform at a festival or in a club, anything is ok, even a controller in the end.
should you buy sc6000 in last month's of 2024 .? im really on the fence...(not a Pioneer vs Denon discus) but maybe a SC6000 mk2 or succesor is around the corner..?? My guess that theer's still alot going for with Engine OS..and that focus of Denon/InMusic is evolving the OS for the excisting hardware rather then making a new one. SC6000 with 4.0 is just...great already.

I had a x1850 on backorder for 2 months and finally gave up on it spent 500 bucks on a used rmx-90 by reloop, it's pretty nice and comes with a serato license unlike the x1850 which is serato supported, but no hardware license unlock. Also being that there are still shortcomings in my eyes for engine dj, the included serato license became a major selling point. I've got 2 sc5000m and 2 lc-6000 and with the rmx-90, I'm not missing the x1850 at this point. And through serato I was amazed to see the fader start feature works despite it not being a Denon mixer, so that's a cool feature to have as an added bonus. But, everywhere I looked the x1850 has been out of stock, so the decks may be available, but the mixers are not. And I've seen videos of folks that had their x1850 a few months, and then all of the sudden the firmware gets borked somehow and the mixer won't boot up. Don't get me wrong I think Denon has the best feeling hardware out there, but they too have short comings. And supply chain issues are everywhere from cars to computers it's all over. Just saying :P
@@Ras1Roy was definitely pleasantly surprised, seems just as full featured as the x1850, only thing missing is a couple of fancy extras like color coded cue buttons matching the decks and the bpm sync, but the rmx 90 can roughly guess the bpm of the playing tracks for the fx, and the cross fader is nice and sharp and feels good. I assume it wasn't upgraded to innofader by the previous owner, but in any case it works great. Plus the serato hardware unlock, I was very happy with it, and scored used for half the price, I was not sad at all :)
@@tylerkepple640 - Good for you Tyler. I replaced my cross fader with a innofader. I only wish the FXs were printed on the mixer, that way I could know exactly which direction to turn the knob. Other than that, the RMX Rocks! Great sound quality!
@@rjmn1 good mixer although the crossfaded just took a crap on it only a couple weeks after I got it. But it's used so you never know how much abuse it took. And gave me an excuse to install an innofader which will be arriving today and it's a plug n play install from what I have seen. So yes I really like running my sc5000m decks with it
I went the other way, still have my 6000’s but just bought pair of CDJ3000’s, was mainly so I could sync wi5h Traktor. 3000’s feel so much nicer to use but the 6000’s still good as a backup pair, keep them my office room.
LOve the talk about standards, in a industry that doesn't have standards. All it took pioneer to rule the industry was advertising Money, that easy. The products were awful, sound you would run from, throw enough money at it, in a industry just maturing, the dj's talked it up. Finally they could make money without selling on the side. That's how easy it was, vestax couldn't compete against a coporation. the end for Vestax was Quick.
@infoslinger Let's be honest, the sound was shit. When turned up you could hear the damn sampling rate, but great build quality. 1200mk2 as standard as if there's a problem with that. I remember going to a demo with industry people and hearing it for the first time, we all laughed saying it will never take. Boy we're we wrong. I was thinking about getting a pair of lc6000 to go with my sc live 4. These ones with screens are much better but that can’t go into live 4 Apart from the big screen on SC6000, is there much difference between that and lc6000? Considering I’d be using with sc live 4. To be honest part of me just wants to get the lc6000 to make my sc live 4 look more premium and if they perform ok I could do the odd 3 deck mix or even do regular 2 deck mixes, sometimes using actual live 4 decks and lc600 separately. Any1 with experience with lc6000, is it possibly worth adding to sc live 4? Even if maybe I’ll just use them for mixing instead of sc live 4 decks? Like maybe it will feel a bit different and make mixing a bit more fun. Or maybe it’s a waste of £900 I did think about just buying 1 because doubt I’d use 4 anyway but I think it may look a bit odd. Is there anything about the lc 6000 that my Denon sc live 4 decks can’t do? Or maybe the jogs feel better on lc6000? Any advice would be great.
I noticed you have the sc6000's hooked up to your prime 4. Do you like that setup better than them hooked up tp your x1850? I ask because i currently have a prime 4 and I'm buying a pair of sc6000 but debating on whether or not to get an x1850 or just connect them to my prime 4. I don't really use effects so would it be worth the upgrade or not really. I love how I can see both playing tracks on my one prime 4 screen, helps with transitions for me. I lose that if I get the x1850 mixer I think because the sc6000's show the playing tracks separately

Can't stack waveforms from separate decks!! Also how many clubs would you go to and have to sign into your Dropbox and Beatport links. Reason CDJ3000's are hard to get hold of is that they are the best and industry standard. Denon will never replace Pioneers, for a start they're too complicated!!

What if they get hacked and the huge library you have built up on there has gone. I work in IT and things like this can happen. Relying on Cloud as the future isn't a plan. You need resiliance. Playing to a huge crowd and you lose the link "Sorry Crowd , Just give me 10 mins while I wait for everything to boot up and reconnect". Ever heard the saying "If it's not broke, don't fix it!!" I grew up when Denon was the club standard, alongside 1210's and saw the CDJ slowly take over. No reason it couldn't happen in reverse, or with another company.
SC6000s didn't have all the streaming stuff at the beginning and I was already deep in the Puoneer ecosystem.with my mixer and sampler and rmx. I replaced my xdj1000 mk2 for 3000s. I get at a good discount and always had intentions to use for a year and make money in them when there was no supply.
but what happens when you go to play at clubs you take your entire Denon kit with you? because lets be honest 99.5% of all clubs and venues carry industry standard gear and thats Pioneer.

@@matthewblakejohnston A lot of clubs and hire companies are no longer investing in pioneer, because with Denon, everyone can use them even with rekordbox. Here in the UK, DJ riders which stipulate 'pioneer only' are not legally valid under the unfair contract (terms) act 1977, so if a DJ turns up with his rekordbox USB and sees Denon kit, he is not allowed to refuse to use them because they are equal to or better than the units specified. There is another huge issue with pioneer - they are not fully class compliant. For something to be industry standard it needs to be fully class compliant and this is where Denon wins. Thats why it pays to speak to us engineers who can advise on these issues, and not sales reps in DJ shops who wisk losing pioneer dealership unless they push enough units. (its why Thomann refuse to sell pioneer anymore)
@@djrichiet you have more functionality on Android than iPhone however iPhone are the market leader, PC allow more user control over your system however Mac are the leader of industry for high end Music and video production. just because your product is technically superior doesn't mean you will win the mass adoption race. Yeah you could argue bla this and that Denon is better "I'm and engineer" but until I see Denon on main stage at any major festival I'll stick with where I can walk into 99% of booths around the world with a USB and feel completely at home. Pioneer is too deeply embedded in the fabric of live performance to be over taken any time soon,(if you can't accept that theres no point in even arguing because is just facts *at this point in time) also the DJM range of mixers are like muscle memory for DJs fyi I only mix with USBs I grew up on the 1000MK1 so rekordbox conversion and the MIDI argument isn't up my ally. But like I said without competition the market stagnates, so I hope Denon keep hanging in there because no one else is close.
@@matthewblakejohnstonI started with a ddj sz, went to sc5000 and now to the sc6000. At my first festival i played with a nexus 2 setup, 10 min practice to get the feel. Every moderate dj can play on a CDJ and vise versa. So the argument for the club standard is nonsense. Yes you have to prepare a rekordbox stick, but for a gig to recreate 1/2 playlists is no time argument. Also the Android/Denon vs Apple/pioneer is something i dont get. Yes apple works overall better and android pushes, even with problems, new functions. While this was right 4 years ago, denon is absolutely stable and has new features, like soundswitch, which is even after 4 years not in sight a pioneer. Apple normally catches up 1-2 years after that. Aaaaaand than the price, better hardware/functions with the ability to play Rekordbox sticks, but way less money is a no brainer. Right now of course pioneer is the standard, but so was denon a long time ago. With the overall huge success with the prime 4, the next DJs will probably bring denon way more forward. In my eyes everyone should spent less money, get the denons and even if they play on pioneer they are able to to it. But the next years with open clubs will let us see what happens. 😊

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I really am leaning towards the SC6000 to pair with a Xone 96. How do you like the audio fidelity of the SC6000 VS. the CDJ3000? Could be exaggerated however I had read some owner feedback (on the Denon pro audio message board) that there were some “roll off” of audio fidelity noticed in the SC6000 in which the audio sounded not as clear as they were expecting. You seem to have no regrets which is awesome. That internal HD and Dropbox functionality looks awesome.
I'm not an audiophile.with a trained ear. They definately sound better though digital out than they do rca, but it sounds good to me. I didn't notice and really.diffrence. my 1850 mixer sounded warmer than my 900 nexus 2 though m
@@TheDJLab I absolutely confirm that.. tried side-by-side SC6000 vs CDJ2000NXS2: RCA plugged >> CDJs wins hands down digital plugged >> 6000 = 3000 this (IMHO) is an issue because I like Denon features, but I want best sound around and usually my mixers have not digital inputs (Mastersounds, Model 1, Xone 96, Xone PX5)

Ya..chip shortages due to fire. They had to switch from 32 bit converter to 24 bit on 3000s, xdj-xz, and 900 nexus 2. Also shipments are just clearing out of the ports from covid slow down. McDonalds sells more burgers than a high end restaurant. Not because they are better. Marketing
Great video Steve! The SC6000 feature set is far better for sure. My only issue is the responsiveness of the SC6000 LCD screen however, I have learned to work-around that. Almost a perfect deck! I had every Pioneer deck since the CDJ-800 and hopefully, I wont have to go back.
Reality is no clubs have denon. 99% of clubs use pioneer. So if u a dj u better keep using rekordbox one question tho. U said u can load and play two tracks simultaneously from one deck? Does the decks have dual RCA output? . A pair?
I make $400 CND a night for 5 hours of playing in Toronto. Club DJs in Toronto make nothing for an hour or 2 of playing on CDJs and are expected to "bring a crowd"

Lol... you think I sold because I'm broke? I'm not here to show off or brag. I owned them for a year. Sold them because I was using my Denons more because I liked discovering new music and playing new genres with all the streaming services. My friend has a rental company and badly needed 3000s. I learned everything I needed to know about them for me to use in a club and also sold for way more than I paid. This is not a hate on Pioneer video.
It's true that the last years Denon became better in technology than Pioneer , but now Denon uses very cheep quality and their DJ hardware like controllers and players are full of technical problems

Denon is not a professional player it is not at the same quality as Pioneer CDJ3000. Player for home bedrooms and for going to the Internet no club. The JOG really sucks beyond the low quality frets. Ipad display is not sturdy and scratches easily as well as sheds little light.

Ive been concinced to switch to Denon mixer and decks...just picked up a used X1800 mixer and holy cow I love it...can't wait to get the decks now.

Even if I could afford the 3000's logic would still lead me to the sc600s i bought mine shortly after they came out and really pleased with them
After playing on Pioneer Equipment and using rekordbox for almost 20 years, I finally pulled the plug on them due to their incredibly pathetic customer service software team and they're overpriced equipment. I have moved over to Denon LC 6000s, high torque Audio Technica turntables and a top of the line Numark mixer that Serato capable. I'm a much happier person having taking Pioneer out of the equation in my DJ booth. It's a damn shame that they've dropped the ball and they are going to be falling behind Denon tremendously now. Everybody is pivoting towards Denon equipment.

yep, i have sc600's and a x1850......apart from some faults with a screen, which was fixed under warranty.....my go to equipment.
Call me oldschool as when I started I had only the technics turntables with the wheel pitch, and later switched to the sl1210 and the denon rackmount cd player. A good dj adapts to many situations and equipments, and that's what separates newbies from the real pro's. Focus on the music and not so much all the circus tricks you can do with all the equipment for a empty dancefloor. Give me 2 gramophones and I'll manually sync them to mix, really guys, who cares in the Denon vs Pioneer subject. Just be happy we are living in a era where you are spoiled for choice and focus on your music selection. Most of the biggest names in DJing I played with over the years couldn't mix for shit, but their music selection made dancefloors burst at the seams time and time again. Be well and happy djing.

You have roll on CDJ 3000! Just press "SLIP" and on the screen you have roll loop and cue on cue buttons same time!😉Many DJs (me included) like to mix on 4 decks on actual 4 decks! What you do when you wanna press some cue points same time on 2 decks and happen to be on different layer on same deck?🤭
Since that video I bought another 4 cdj-3000s. Still would have been cheaper to buy 4 sc6000m. I love my 3000s but the Denon has alot more going for it.
Many would go with Denon if it had a powerful mixer. I mean in the pro field. For a DJ who doesn't perform at a festival or in a club, anything is ok, even a controller in the end.
should you buy sc6000 in last month's of 2024 .? im really on the fence...(not a Pioneer vs Denon discus) but maybe a SC6000 mk2 or succesor is around the corner..?? My guess that theer's still alot going for with Engine OS..and that focus of Denon/InMusic is evolving the OS for the excisting hardware rather then making a new one. SC6000 with 4.0 is just...great already.

I had a x1850 on backorder for 2 months and finally gave up on it spent 500 bucks on a used rmx-90 by reloop, it's pretty nice and comes with a serato license unlike the x1850 which is serato supported, but no hardware license unlock. Also being that there are still shortcomings in my eyes for engine dj, the included serato license became a major selling point. I've got 2 sc5000m and 2 lc-6000 and with the rmx-90, I'm not missing the x1850 at this point. And through serato I was amazed to see the fader start feature works despite it not being a Denon mixer, so that's a cool feature to have as an added bonus. But, everywhere I looked the x1850 has been out of stock, so the decks may be available, but the mixers are not. And I've seen videos of folks that had their x1850 a few months, and then all of the sudden the firmware gets borked somehow and the mixer won't boot up. Don't get me wrong I think Denon has the best feeling hardware out there, but they too have short comings. And supply chain issues are everywhere from cars to computers it's all over. Just saying :P

@@Ras1Roy was definitely pleasantly surprised, seems just as full featured as the x1850, only thing missing is a couple of fancy extras like color coded cue buttons matching the decks and the bpm sync, but the rmx 90 can roughly guess the bpm of the playing tracks for the fx, and the cross fader is nice and sharp and feels good. I assume it wasn't upgraded to innofader by the previous owner, but in any case it works great. Plus the serato hardware unlock, I was very happy with it, and scored used for half the price, I was not sad at all :)
@@tylerkepple640 - Good for you Tyler. I replaced my cross fader with a innofader. I only wish the FXs were printed on the mixer, that way I could know exactly which direction to turn the knob. Other than that, the RMX Rocks! Great sound quality!

@@rjmn1 good mixer although the crossfaded just took a crap on it only a couple weeks after I got it. But it's used so you never know how much abuse it took. And gave me an excuse to install an innofader which will be arriving today and it's a plug n play install from what I have seen. So yes I really like running my sc5000m decks with it
I went the other way, still have my 6000’s but just bought pair of CDJ3000’s, was mainly so I could sync wi5h Traktor. 3000’s feel so much nicer to use but the 6000’s still good as a backup pair, keep them my office room.

So, I use turntables at home yet i do want at least one extra deck,and the DEnon looks interesting. So they hook up to a desktop PC seamlessly??

LOve the talk about standards, in a industry that doesn't have standards. All it took pioneer to rule the industry was advertising Money, that easy. The products were awful, sound you would run from, throw enough money at it, in a industry just maturing, the dj's talked it up. Finally they could make money without selling on the side. That's how easy it was, vestax couldn't compete against a coporation. the end for Vestax was Quick.

@infoslinger Let's be honest, the sound was shit. When turned up you could hear the damn sampling rate, but great build quality. 1200mk2 as standard as if there's a problem with that. I remember going to a demo with industry people and hearing it for the first time, we all laughed saying it will never take. Boy we're we wrong. I was thinking about getting a pair of lc6000 to go with my sc live 4. These ones with screens are much better but that can’t go into live 4
Apart from the big screen on SC6000, is there much difference between that and lc6000? Considering I’d be using with sc live 4.
To be honest part of me just wants to get the lc6000 to make my sc live 4 look more premium and if they perform ok I could do the odd 3 deck mix or even do regular 2 deck mixes, sometimes using actual live 4 decks and lc600 separately.
Any1 with experience with lc6000, is it possibly worth adding to sc live 4?
Even if maybe I’ll just use them for mixing instead of sc live 4 decks? Like maybe it will feel a bit different and make mixing a bit more fun.

I noticed you have the sc6000's hooked up to your prime 4. Do you like that setup better than them hooked up tp your x1850? I ask because i currently have a prime 4 and I'm buying a pair of sc6000 but debating on whether or not to get an x1850 or just connect them to my prime 4. I don't really use effects so would it be worth the upgrade or not really. I love how I can see both playing tracks on my one prime 4 screen, helps with transitions for me. I lose that if I get the x1850 mixer I think because the sc6000's show the playing tracks separately

I haven't actually use a Denon mixer. I use my Denon decks with a Pioneer mixer and that's a pretty good combination.
I've the 6000 with the v10. Best of both worlds

Can't stack waveforms from separate decks!! Also how many clubs would you go to and have to sign into your Dropbox and Beatport links. Reason CDJ3000's are hard to get hold of is that they are the best and industry standard. Denon will never replace Pioneers, for a start they're too complicated!!
Just wait and see about the cloud based music. It's the future. Music industry can then properly track what's being played and where.

What if they get hacked and the huge library you have built up on there has gone. I work in IT and things like this can happen. Relying on Cloud as the future isn't a plan. You need resiliance. Playing to a huge crowd and you lose the link "Sorry Crowd , Just give me 10 mins while I wait for everything to boot up and reconnect". Ever heard the saying "If it's not broke, don't fix it!!" Denon are trying there hardest and are trying to pull every trick out of the book to get in the Clubs. Sorry, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon!!

I sold my Sc6000s and bought an XDJ-xz and never looked back. Hated the denon, especially the jogs.

Dont understand. The SC6000 was released way before CDJ-3000. So why did you bought the Pioneer's in the first place.
SC6000s didn't have all the streaming stuff at the beginning and I was already deep in the Puoneer ecosystem.with my mixer and sampler and rmx. I replaced my xdj1000 mk2 for 3000s. I get at a good discount and always had intentions to use for a year and make money in them when there was no supply.
you also get onboard track analysis, a capacitive touchscreen, customizable jog wheel display, and USB 3.0, you know the INDUSTRY STANDARD! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@matthewblakejohnston A lot of clubs and hire companies are no longer investing in pioneer, because with Denon, everyone can use them even with rekordbox. Here in the UK, DJ riders which stipulate 'pioneer only' are not legally valid under the unfair contract (terms) act 1977, so if a DJ turns up with his rekordbox USB and sees Denon kit, he is not allowed to refuse to use them because they are equal to or better than the units specified. There is another huge issue with pioneer - they are not fully class compliant. For something to be industry standard it needs to be fully class compliant and this is where Denon wins. Thats why it pays to speak to us engineers who can advise on these issues, and not sales reps in DJ shops who wisk losing pioneer dealership unless they push enough units. (its why Thomann refuse to sell pioneer anymore)
@@djrichiet you have more functionality on Android than iPhone however iPhone are the market leader, PC allow more user control over your system however Mac are the leader of industry for high end Music and video production. just because your product is technically superior doesn't mean you will win the mass adoption race. Yeah you could argue bla this and that Denon is better "I'm and engineer" but until I see Denon on main stage at any major festival I'll stick with where I can walk into 99% of booths around the world with a USB and feel completely at home. Pioneer is too deeply embedded in the fabric of live performance to be over taken any time soon,(if you can't accept that theres no point in even arguing because is just facts *at this point in time) also the DJM range of mixers are like muscle memory for DJs fyi I only mix with USBs I grew up on the 1000MK1 so rekordbox conversion and the MIDI argument isn't up my ally. But like I said without competition the market stagnates, so I hope Denon keep hanging in there because no one else is close.

At my first festival i played with a nexus 2 setup, 10 min practice to get the feel. Every moderate dj can play on a CDJ and vise versa. So the argument for the club standard is nonsense. Yes you have to prepare a rekordbox stick, but for a gig to recreate 1/2 playlists is no time argument.
Also the Android/Denon vs Apple/pioneer is something i dont get. Yes apple works overall better and android pushes, even with problems, new functions. While this was right 4 years ago, denon is absolutely stable and has new features, like soundswitch, which is even after 4 years not in sight a pioneer. Apple normally catches up 1-2 years after that.
Aaaaaand than the price, better hardware/functions with the ability to play Rekordbox sticks, but way less money is a no brainer.
Right now of course pioneer is the standard, but so was denon a long time ago. With the overall huge success with the prime 4, the next DJs will probably bring denon way more forward. In my eyes everyone should spent less money, get the denons and even if they play on pioneer they are able to to it. But the next years with open clubs will let us see what happens. 😊

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I really am leaning towards the SC6000 to pair with a Xone 96. How do you like the audio fidelity of the SC6000 VS. the CDJ3000? Could be exaggerated however I had read some owner feedback (on the Denon pro audio message board) that there were some “roll off” of audio fidelity noticed in the SC6000 in which the audio sounded not as clear as they were expecting. You seem to have no regrets which is awesome. That internal HD and Dropbox functionality looks awesome.
I'm not an audiophile.with a trained ear. They definately sound better though digital out than they do rca, but it sounds good to me. I didn't notice and really.diffrence. my 1850 mixer sounded warmer than my 900 nexus 2 though m

digital plugged >> 6000 = 3000
this (IMHO) is an issue because I like Denon features, but I want best sound around and usually my mixers have not digital inputs (Mastersounds, Model 1, Xone 96, Xone PX5)

Ya..chip shortages due to fire. They had to switch from 32 bit converter to 24 bit on 3000s, xdj-xz, and 900 nexus 2. Also shipments are just clearing out of the ports from covid slow down. McDonalds sells more burgers than a high end restaurant. Not because they are better. Marketing

Great video Steve! The SC6000 feature set is far better for sure. My only issue is the responsiveness of the SC6000 LCD screen however, I have learned to work-around that. Almost a perfect deck! I had every Pioneer deck since the CDJ-800 and hopefully, I wont have to go back.

Denon jogs are too heavy. CDJ3000 have roll. These are good for home use, but not happening in any clubs are bars unless you take them yourself.

Dual rca and dual digital out. Club djs don't make much money tbh. Better to do bars and being own gear or corporate parties.

I make $400 CND a night for 5 hours of playing in Toronto. Club DJs in Toronto make nothing for an hour or 2 of playing on CDJs and are expected to "bring a crowd"

Beatport Link Pro streams have poor sound quality. Not good enough for playing out. It is a total failure.
I'm playing Beatport Linknas we speak on a 10,000 watt system in a club. Sounds fine. Maybe check your system to make sure its playing highest stream.

Lol... you think I sold because I'm broke? I'm not here to show off or brag. I owned them for a year. Sold them because I was using my Denons more because I liked discovering new music and playing new genres with all the streaming services. My friend has a rental company and badly needed 3000s. I learned everything I needed to know about them for me to use in a club and also sold for way more than I paid. This is not a hate on Pioneer video.

Denon is not a professional player it is not at the same quality as Pioneer CDJ3000. Player for home bedrooms and for going to the Internet no club.
The JOG really sucks beyond the low quality frets. Ipad display is not sturdy and scratches easily as well as sheds little light.
