Pioneer DJ CDJ 3000 vs Denon DJ SC6000 - Time stretch test. Which one Sounds Better?

- In this video I'll compare the time stretching ability between the Pioneer DJ CDJ-3000 and the Denon DJ SC6000M to see which one sounds best.
I started with Pioneer DJ & at last I bought the Denon DJ SC6000M.
I have absolutely no regrets. Listening to music is more fun now than ever before.
The 3000s are the LAST pair of CDJs I will likely buy. Unless Alpha-Theta REALLY step it up, it's apparent to me that Denon really do have the upper hand.
I owned SC6000s...sold them for 3000s, but then bought a single SC6000M just to stay appraised to what the competition is doing. In the short year that I relinquished
my SC6000s, Denon has addressed nearly every shortcoming they had that pushed me towards to the 3000. I can only imagine how DOPE the SC7000 will be compared to the 3000NXS.
Denon's "long-game" strategy is panning out. They are seeking to bring the Software/DVS experience to the standalone market. Pioneer DJ are leagues behind.
When the prime denon series entered, the pioneer was crushed, which is about 6 years ago and they have a very big advantage. Others have the habits of a pioneer and it blindly loses them...
I wonder when the SC7000 is coming out
@@robinghosh2109 What would a 7000 possibly add that the 6000 can't do? You have a massive screen and a great software platform. The size is perfect. An even bigger player would be too much, at least for me. They might add some sales blah like better digital components like DACs but you wouldn't hear a thing of difference. On paper the Pioneer's DACs are quite a lot better than Denon's. Do you hear any difference? I sure don't. In this test here above imo the Pioneer sounds like an old Akai sampler. Mechanical, clunky. I feel the Denon sounds a lot better on the time stretching thing but I would respect anyone else's opinion. But maybe Denon will surpruse us with an SC7000 having an AI chip installed that analyzes your sets and at some point is able to grab new tracks from Beatport matching your style, and play a set all by itself. So you can install a doll bahind the decks, go out and have a blast in the crowd and still collect your money 😀
Got to agree with you. I always thought denon claiming the best in class time stretching was just marketing, but at least when compared to pioneer it seems to be true. To me it’s about the transients such as the beat, it’s cleaner and clearer on the denon

Wow. I wasn't expecting that big of a difference. The Denon algorithm is far, far superior. Pioneer sounds terrible. Nice work.
I’m sold on the denons
Please think of how many sources you can do at once. I play together with other 2 dis and no matter if they are pioneer settled with their USBs, when I set my denons all of us can plug in all usbs and the machine is reading everything, and mostly, you don’t need to unplug anything to change dj as you actually can plug up to 6 usbs with 2 players. For me, this is very important.

What was the format of the track you played? Wav? Aiff? Other? Great video, thanks for sharing. Denon make good gear. Hoping that Pioneer are forced into making more of an effort with firmware updates like you say.

That is quite the difference in sound, Denon definitely wins in the algo battle.

Can't sync together.. usb from 3000 will update on 6000 and read no prob
I’m rocking the cdj3000 and I absolutely love them
At 80 Bpm you can clearly hear the Denon is a lot better than the Pioneer imo. You hear the beat still sounding like a double beat. Not so on the Denon.
Its so funny people get cut up on sound quality these days. Only a few years ago we where playing dirty crackly vinyl. Im a sc5000 user not by choice i could afford pioneer players😂 still rocking my vestax too
wow, I hope Pioneer bring out a firmware update to compete with this!
Firmware will not change much because Pioneer is not made powerful enough to improve. They release new and more expensive hardware instead to match.

Pioneer was Hamilton. Denon is Verstapen. Ok Tks Denon. We need good fights, BUT we consumers always need who wins the leaders. So we Will need a New Verstapen soon. And the DJs Will need to now how to use all good brands.

cdj3000 looks better and feels better especially the jogs..denon got more features 4sure..but a lot of dis don't use all those features

you right with the denon sc 6000 but not with the denon sc 6000 it's really fun too mix with better feeling than the cdj 3000
