Soooo many musicians yet the music doesn't feel too busy or muddied up in anyway. Everyone stays in their lane and lets the music breathe. A testament to what a great band they are, the whole is more than just the sum of their parts. I love these guys so much. You guys are pretty awesome too, keep up the great reactions!!
Sweet mother of Pearl. Tedeschi Trucks band is one of my rock solid steppingstones to keep me from falling into the crappy music quicksand. So incredibly talented and such amazing music!
Thanks for this, I've never heard it. They are just top to bottom consumate professionals, all the musicians and vocalists. Derek and Susan have created something very special & of course they're phenomenal at what they do. Was fun to see this in the recording setting.
😮 Oh my heavens…….that was some of the best live s..t I’ve heard in a long time. Mercy……they were cookin !!. There was nothing about that, that I didn’t like. Yes the bass, the drums and percussion, the horns, oh my the horns….., the backing vocals, her voice👍, and that slide guitar at the end. An, I’d pay good money to see that band live. Wow, wow, wow.👍😎🎸🇨🇦
Good to see old video of Kofi Burbridge on the keys who has since passed on (RIP). Can't go wrong with TTB...... they have always put a lot of folks on the stage with background singers, 2 drummers, a keyboard, a bass, a lead guitar, a rythym guitar, and 3 horns.
I once met Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, and they're lovely people. Derek is enthusiastic to buy you a beer and happy to tell a story about life on the road.
Guys give "I Am The Moon" a listen. Pick a song and you will want to hear more. This band has evolved over the years & they keep getting better. They play great covers live that fit perfectly into their fantastic sets. So glad you found them.
My absolute favorite-est of all time ever and ever 12 piece MONSTROSITY of talent soul sound and pure awesomeness. Everything they do just feels good inside!
I saw them recently. There is just no one out there like them. Every band member is a consummate musician. I will be seeing them again. 3 hours of amazing music.
You guys need to see them live! The best band on the road today - we see them at least once a year. Just an incredible band. You feel like you’re at a revival of sorts with everyone on their feet dancing and just enjoying every moment of their shows.
one of current era favorite bands. They are without doubt (in my mind anyway) one of the best live bands I've seen...they are amazing. Derek Trucks is (in my mind anyway) one of the best guitar players out there and Susan Tedeschi's voice never fails to give me chills....
Superior talent across the board. As time goes by it is amazing to listen to their music evolve. Consummate professionals committed to their music and their audience. You cannot miss seeing them live. The shows are all different. I heard Derek interviewed and at a run at the Beacon he said they had about 110 songs ready for that group of shows. Keep on Growing (Live) is outstanding So many ……. Peace all!
I just caught these guys in concert a few weeks, and they were fantastic!!! Anybody who loves music should go see them perform, they don’t make bands like this much anymore.
What a great band! It's fun seeing them in the studio. I love Trucks' guitar playing. Susan doesn't even need to take a deep breath. She's amazing! The whole band is top notch.
Have had the pleasure of seeing Derek Trucks many times, with different bands, Phil & Friends, Allman Brothers, etc., and I got to see Susan Tedeschi once, before she and Derek got married, when she played with the ex-members of the Grateful Dead under the name of The Other Ones. Anything these folks play is going to be awesome, it's all they do, they don't do bad, just BAAAD.
I had heard the name but only within last year started seeing/listening to this phenomenal group. They are playing style of music that grabs my soul and really moves me. And they are all so talented and their playing together is just a beautiful thing. I don’t know anyone better today. I have got to go see them live!
@@mellenbecker56 funny I see your reply after I just finished watching another video of them. And watching was again telling myself I have to see them live. And now see you telling me the same….must be a sing ha ha.
Back in 2009 I was in Boston to see a Jays/Sox series at Fenway for the first time. Took a day tour of the ballpark before the night game. As our group got up to the “Green Monstah”, I noticed a blonde guy with a pony tail sitting in the second row of the Monster chatting with 2 other gentlemen. I thought to myself “holy sh!t, that’s Derek Trucks!”. Nobody else in my group even recognized him. I went over and introduced myself to him and shook his hand, mentioning he was the best slide player I had heard since Duane. Very warm and cordial. Turns out the Allmans were playing in Boston that night too. I was torn as they are one of my favorite groups, but I wound up going to the baseball as the tickets were already purchased and I had a friend coming from Toronto. Saw Tedeschi Trucks a few years later at an intimate theatre in Edmonton and they cooked!
One of the best live bands working today. Derek Trucks is among the best guitarists in the world … I will die on that hill. Great reaction guys, I am digging you channel. Been binge watching all your Led Zep stuff.
I get irked when people qualify how great Derek is by labeling him the best slide guitarist in the world, I believe he's one of if not THE best Guitar player on the planet. Make room on that hill for me.
Couple other great TTB videos: backstage working up a Taj Mahal guest spot on Leavin' Trunk - you get to see the sausage being made or them jamming on stage with the Wood Brothers covering the Stones Sweet Virginia. Both killer videos.
Hey Guys, if the tune seems familiar it's because Chevy used it in a truck ad. This band is just so freakin' good. Anything you'd choose will knock you over! (go see them the next time they're near you, they're always touring)
So very thrilled that you - along with other reactors - are listening to some Tedeshi Trucks Band material. Such an underappreciated, but uber-talented, band. Thanks!
Need more TTB!! They have so many great songs and performances. One of my favorite bands to listen to on a daily basis. "Part of Me", "Bound for Glory", etc. Need some more reactions from you guys from them! Ya'll do a great job, keep it going my brothers!
Derek Trucks is the nephew of Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks. Saw him and his buddies when they were in their early 20s, Allman influence all over him, it was crazy! So talented! He later play for the ABB. Dude reminded me of Duane!
Derek was a bare-ass toddler running up and down the porch between papa Butch, Dwayne and Gregg. It's in his veins, and he's a gentleman through and through.
Just back from Vacay and you guys treat me to my current favourite band. Best live band in the land these days. Saw them a few weeks ago and they played a great mix of their own stuff like this song and some fabulous covers. Fantastic band!!
Saw them live at Meadowbrook near Detroit this summer. Killer show, they're amazing live, great band. They did this song, very nice. Pure pleasure to hear them play almost anything.
If you ever get a chance to see them live, DO IT! They are so cohesive as a sometimes 11pc band. If you want them at their best, see them at Red Rocks.
Derek’s uncle is Butch Trucks- one of the Allman drummers. Derek played with them for years since he was a teen. His slide guitar playing is the best in the world. “ Midnight in Harlem” live. Also TTB and Taj Mahal- “ Leaving Trunk”. In their studio. Thanks for reacting to this today!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This band is very much like The Allman Bros band….Derek played with the ABB, 2 drummers, large ensemble, horns, keyboards…seen them twice at the Ryman (the Mother Church) what an experience! So much talent….no other channel shows what you do..you guys are THE BEST!
TTB are simply perfection . Privileged to see them live late 2022 . I giggled in amazement what I was listening to . Whole band amazing but when Derek gets going on slide he takes you to a whole new world . Susan has to be mentioned , one fantastic musician , top class … Simply love the band .❤❤❤
Great band based in Jacksonville, FL. I highly recommend you react to their song "Part Of Me"; acoustic version in their home studio; such a happy, upbeat song, and was my first exposure to Tedeschi Trucks. I never tire of watching the two drummers! And their horns! Excellence all around! Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction as always!
Great reaction from a great band. This was recorded at thier home studio in Jacksonville. Leaving Trunk with Taj Mahal. Is worth checking out. Susan singing and Derek makes everything look effortless. As always fellas great reaction. Appreciate you 🙏 ❤
I love this band so much, Susan's vocal delivery and style reminds me so much of Bonnie Raitt. So does her raspy soulful sound, she's just fabulous. And don't get me started on Derek's superb slide playing 🎸 but did anybody mention those fantastic backup singers...Awe man!... those harmonies were gorgeous. Here's another song by them if interested. "Tedeschi Trucks Band - Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out (Live at LOCKN'/2019)"
Love TTB. Just saw them last month in Milwaukee. And they played this song too. More please. It's their original song but it got picked up for a commercial.
Thanks guys, like JenniferI hadn't heard this song either, but so far, I love anything from this band. Please give Susan's "It Hurt So Bad" a listen. It is EPIC!!!!
Just to add some color, Derek (slide guitar) and Susan (vocals and guitar) are husband and wife. Derek was a member of the Allman Brothers Band for several years. I have been a fan of TTB since they put out their first album. Great music all around, relly a great group of very talented musicians.
Hey guys, this song isn't a cover, they wrote it...and in addition to the great playing and singing (as usual), it is a catchy, well written song. I might have already mentioned this on your reaction to their cover of Midnight In Harlem, but I would highly recommend checking out their cover of Joe Cocker's Space Captain live in the studio with Herbie Hancock on piano....it is epic.
"Anyhow” by Tedeschi Trucks Band was written by Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks & Mike Mattison.
best live band in the world.
Congratulations, you just found the best live band on the planet
One of the most talented bands out there. Susan is right up there with Bonnie Raitt & Derek kills it on slide guitar.
I think she's better.
The irony is that in real life Susan has kinda of quiet mousey voice. Then she sings and omg the power behind that voice.
That is the best band going today. Her voice and his guitar. The band is top notch!

That voice .

Derek Trucks = Top Shelf Slide guitarist in the lineage of Mr. Duane Allman & company .

Correct. That's Duane's guitar.
Duane’s daughter , gave it to Derek

The 2nd percussionist is under rated. You can just get so much of all the little things, a drummer might throw in, but in large amounts.
She sounds like Bonnie Raitt. Astounding.
The Tedeschi/Trucks band is very "Allman Brothers" influenced. With good reason.
Great band and great live. They roll through Sacramento about every year - check them out if you can!
Wow
