- A musical tribute to multi-instrumentalist David Lindley, for Lest We Forget 2023. It is a fresh take on Jackson Browne's song "For A Dancer," a song that David performed quite often with Jackson. It features Jake Thistle (lead vocal, piano), Larry Franklin (fiddle), Leland Sklar (bass), Dan Dugmore (pedal steel guitar), Powell Randolph (drums), Dane Bryant (organ), and Laura Hall, Helena Reid, Lydia Hilliard, and Darcell Coklay, all on background vocals. Such a legend! Seemed like a nice person too.
He was indeed generous. I got to meet Lindley once at a gig; he answered questions, let me handle one of his instruments, and the teenagers I had brought to the gig with me got guitar picks, drumsticks, and autographed T-shirts.
