Thanks for this. Unfortunately, the message comes back on when I switch the car on again (was hoping the software might reset and sort the issue but to no avail).
Thanks for the comment. What does the error message say when you leave the trunk open? I am surprised you cannot drive the car when your trunk is open.
They've stolen the front emblem from my class A. Does it means they've taken also the collision prevention assist? I still have the red warnig sign if I approach the car in front of me. I have a Class A 160d Sport from 2016. tnx
I am really sorry to hear this. I believe all the sensors for the collision system are actually in the windscreen for your model year. If you call your local dealership they will be able to order a new part for you.
@@DrSaahb hi thanks for replying, what is a widescreen? Also I'm confused since I still see the red warning sign when I approach a car in front of me? Or is that sensor separate from a collision assist?
If you are still seeing a red sign then that means you haven’t switched it off. When you switch off your car the system then comes back on next time you start the car.
Thanks for the comment. Sometimes it will keep the system switched off for a very short period after you switch the car off. But after a while it will always switch back on. It is a safety system and I think it is recommended by the manufacturer to use the system.
I am really sorry I wish I knew. I think the system is at the top of the front windscreen (behind your rear view mirror). I would ask for some advice from your local Mercedes-Benz dealer.
Sometimes it remembers it if you have switched the car off for a very short time. But if it has been switched off, after a while it will switch back on.

You cannot permanently switch off the Collision Prevention system.
You're the best, but I will not switch it off if it's going to invalidate my insurance coverage. I would love to take my car somewhere to reset it
Thanks for the comment. If you think it might be faulty then I would get your local Mercedes Dealership to check it.
@@DrSaahb Thanks I had that in mind
Amazing video!!! 😍
How can i over rite the safety. I can't drive the car with my trunk open, how can i over ride that.

Do you know why this option is not on my menu ? Just active brake assist. I know I have collision prevention as the light and beeper comes on. Thanks
Thanks for the comment. What year is your car?

The windscreen is the front glass of the car.

This is very useful information 💕
Thank you!
I have a 1018 cla 250 and my can't seen to find the collision section to turn it of help
2018 It should be pretty much the same as the display in my car. Try watching the video while you are parked up and let me know how you get on please?
It keeps turning on after I turn off the car. How can I prevent this from happening?

Where is this module located in a CLA250?

Thank you for the comment. This has made my day
It turns itself back on as soon as you stop and restart the engine.

Thank you for the comment! 😃
If only it would stay off! Mine is faulty
After you switch off the car and you start the car back up next day, the system goes back on for your safety.
Mine to..no errors related to it...but there are other errors airbag and active bonnet
I would recommend you go to your local Mercedes-Benz dealer to check why the error messages have appeared.
you need to be stop to do it please ?
I would recommend switching it off when you are in park.
