I like the way you were not using mods. I'm doing something very similar in the same place funny enough. The one trick I think might add something to it would be to use conduits rather than wires, or at least that's what I am learning to do with my build and think it tidys up the spaghettification :)
Thanks! I wanted to use the conduits oddly enough, as there are actually lots of possibilities with them. I just had problems getting them to work. I need to try again, as I have 2 other settlements to finish.
You could just put a storage unit at the end and take the junk out side to break down. Its what I'm doing till i have my four level sorting warehouse built 😊
Really cool factory. I'm looking to do a sorting settlement and your layout looks awesome, would love to see you build it again but I bet it took you hours and I'm sure you wouldn't want to do it again just for 1 view. Hahaha The size limit also goes down if you just store the item. The "size limit glitch" can be used about 3 times (completely full to around 1/4 full).
If you are interested, I've just done a complete build of a new food processing facility in four parts: ua-cam.com/play/PLBAIJNG8SEtxZpYa1BzFHITwNvNcl5Fwb.html
I found when I was throwing stuff on the ground and scrapping it (still not sure on whether using stuff from workbenches actually breaks down the same as the perk result doing it manually), that the size actually went to nothing. Almost spat my tea on the monitor when I noticed that on the HeXbox.
Size limit doesn't matter it's only there to stop you lagging to death you can build as much as you like only when you start lagging that's when you should remove a few things 🙂 More complex items are the more space limit they take up as long as you spread out your settlement you can build loads before you start to lag it's pretty amazing 😃
download the contraptions extended mod from online and use the component extractor then the workshop storage. Now you don't have to do nothing but collect and use.
Dean Luxton I put the foundation blocks down first, then built the machine. Later covered it with the building. That's how I usually build the factories, except the fireworks factory. I built the building first due to size on location. :)

One other adition I made was to assign a guard to one of the desk guard stations so I have a shift manager :D
Awesome build!

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, that's possible. I could always open the wall up too, and feed that outside.

I might actually, as a number of people have asked how it was joined so neat and tight. :) Nice to know on the size glitch.

I always seem to run out of supplies tho I got over 100k caps on me all the time, the traders can not keep up on survival ah the waiting game ;')
It is not a glitch, it is the same when you do the workbench trick to free up space
Just to put it out there... the workbench 'trick' is a glitch. That is why it is a 'trick'. Just saying like ;)

Ryan Lavaley Sadly I'm PS4 for these and it doesn't support mods. :(
Works best with modded guns
Careful that can crash your game
im curious, did you build the building around the machines or start off with the building?

Cool build. Thanks for the update!
Thanks and glad you liked it! :)
