Get a history book my friend. The land was not taken but divided between the Jews and the Arabs who both had no state before the division. (yes I know there was a Jewish state called Israel 2 millenia earlier but that was a long time ago) As the video shows the Arabs did not want to share and went all in.. and lost. What poor quality outlets such as TRT fail to mention is that not all the 700k Arabs were forced to flee. In fact many were promised by their leaders in Egypt en Syria that they would return after driving the Jews away. Not all adhered this poor advise, hence the large Arab population in Israel. On the other hand about the same number of Jews were forced to flee from islamic countries to Israel, something that they fail to mention when they want to press a one sided view on you.
So what can we learn from all this? Don't have biased sources such as TRT as your only source of information. Plenty of sources out there on the web and yes, many will try to convince you that their point of view is correct. Fact is that complex issues need some digging and with algoritms nowadays it takes some effort to get out of the bubbles they create. God bless you in your search!

Consider that neither Jordan nor Egypt did anything to facilitate creation of a Palestinian state between 1948 and 1967 in Gaza and the West Bank.

What I still don't get is that Turkey occupies Kurdish lands, Cypriotic lands and also holds parts of Syria and Iraq. 192. "Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers.
193. "Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad ) calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abrar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders).
194. "Our Lord! Grant us what You promised unto us through Your Messengers and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection, for You never break (Your) Promise."
195. So their Lord accepted of them (their supplication and answered them), "Never will I allow to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female. You are (members) one of another, so those who emigrated and were driven out from their homes, and suffered harm in My Cause, and who fought, and were killed (in My Cause), verily, I will remit from them their evil deeds and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise); a reward from Allah, and with Allah is the best of rewards."

Just like all the Tribes of Israel morphed into one nation - Israeli - after the LORD exiled them from the Promised Land in 550 B.C., Palestinians are the mixed descendants of the remnants of the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Jebusites, Hivites, Perizzites, and Girgashites. GOD pulls down nations and He raises up nations - blessed be the name of the LORD. There will be one nation when JESUS returns, made of of all who believe in Him. The rest - hell-bound - bound in Hell.
This is such trash, the ceasefire favored the Arabs as much as Israel, who could have used the time to coordinate their attacks with each other but instead their rivalries prevented a coordinated attack. The arms embargo actually favored the Arabs because the British continued to arm the Arab Legion in Jordan. The simple fact is that other than the Legion, the other Arab armies were in terrible shape and thought they could win any easy victory and carve up the mandate. Not a single one was interested in the creation of a Palestinian state and the truth is, that if Israel had lost, there still wouldn’t have been a Palestinians state because Jordan and Egypt would have split it amongst themselves.
