I was conflicted at first, but not anymore. No, I do not condemn Hamas.
I was 100% not conflicted about this issue by the time December rolls around, and it was revealed to me that the I D F was formed from freaking ter ror ist groups. Not only that, but the same groups that committed the nakba and did mass murder and r4pes on palestinians. Clearly ID F is still following their ter ror roots. As an American in the conservative south, its difficult to be open about my true feelings on this topic- to even show support for peaceful protest against the ongoing massacre in Gaza is a view that will be met by many with apathy at best and raging condemnation at worst. I'm disgusted by the hypocrisy and double standards of our governments and corporate media. I believe history will vindicate those who resist apartheid, occupation, ethnic cleansing and gen0c1de. Israel should not be an exception to that rule, any idea of an ethnostate is wrong.

This framework collapses once you consider the settler violence in the occupied West Bank where there is no Hamas. By accepting the question, one automatically finds themselves either condemning the oppressed people’s resistance or condoning violence. This of course ignores the fact that much of the claims of violence committed by Hamas against civilians have been debunked clarifying that the attacks of October the 7th were in fact targeted against the military installations in the perimeter of occupied and blockaded Gaza strip.
