Thank you so much because I needed to change my mods folder to my external hard drive because i had no space left on my c: drive because of all my mods.
I dont know what im doing wrong, ive followed your instructions exactly but when I launch the game it still creates a folder in the original location. LOL just disregard what I said, It kinda takes a little while for my brain to comprehend these days, works perfectly, A GREAT BIG THANKS!!!!!!!
Thank you for a great video, I've only just discovered your channel love the content, I only have a small SSD for my windows directory, this had helped me loads as now I can have my mods on my separate drive Keep up the good work
Thanks for some really REALLY FREAKING annoying reason i had the game installed on my big ssd but all the mods were going onto my small 250gig ssd which literally ran out of space thank you so much!
will all of our mods that are currently in our mods folder under "My Games/ Farming Simulator 19 / Mods" be transferred over to the new folder or do we have to copy and paste them over?
Or you could just use MFS+ that Dave over at Pleasant Valley mods makes. I've been using that since FS15 to quickly and easily switch between 22 Different mod folders. He doesn't have time for much modding right now but he did put out FS19_MFS+. You can find the FS17_MFS+ in the downloads at pvmods.enjin.com/ but if you look at the forum post A Letter From Dave he puts a link at the end for the new version.

Hey I just switched to pc and have been trying to figure this out for a while. I installed a couple mods from trusted websites, put them in the fs19 mod folder, loaded up the game and it said they were installed. When I got into a game and checked the store, nothing was there. Help?
In the Farming Simulator 19 folder on your PC is a log.txt file this will have information about the startup of the game and there should be messages in there as to why the mods are not showing up. The reason they not show up could be numerous. Feel free if you use discord to join our discord also. discord.gg/z3u4Hp
I just got a Desktop, and it still won't work. I did everything the video said. (Edit: I also forgot to say, The "Mods" folder you have, I DON'T have. Sorry if it seems like I am mad at you, because I'm not.)
If you dont see a mod folder either you have not launched the gsmenor your in the wrong path as the mods folder is made by the game automatically even if its deleted its recreated.
Should just be following the info in the video and then of course making sure your mods are in the new location. YOu have to change the file with the game closed of course.
I have never experienced such an issue so it would be hard to do a tutorial on something that I would have no idea how to replicate. If you see icons in the mod selection screen then the mods are there your just not looking in the right spot I would suppose.

No I don't mod vehicles
A very cool tip thanks
Thanks Farmer Klein. I'm running out of space at my 120gb ssd. To many nice mods.
me to bro
Does copying/pasting the folder from one to another drive work aswell?
You can store your mod folder on any drive or folder you want as long as the path to that folder is defined in the XML and can be reached by the PC.
Thanks! I figured it out
what do i do if i dont have a gamesettings.xml file in the game folder?
Then your looking in the wrong place as you basically have to have it. its something that is auto created by the game.

Can i just copy mods from old folder to new one?
Qell you need to do that also. The change only tells the game where the mods are to be found going forward it does not also relocate them.
I have now downloaded 400 mod packs but the game stays on the loading tab for 1 hour
Well i think your answered you question right there. enjoy going over your log.txt file to see how many of those 400 are giving you problems.
I did this and whenever I open fs19 it just stays on the loading screen and task manager says not responding. Can you help?
Verify you did not have a typo with your settings. Look in game log in the fd19 folder for more info.
