Big Def Leppard fan here. Just stumbled across this reaction. Seeing you react to this is one of the best things I've seen on UA-cam. Loved it. Gonna look at some of your other vids. Thanks for doing this!!!
I am a huge Def Leppard fan so I try to watch as many reaction videos to their music as I can. This reaction video gave me an even deeper perspective into their music since I am not a musician myself. Great reaction video. IMHO, this song is one of their more under rated songs.
Def Leppard are one of the greatest rock bands EVER!!!! They have lived through so much drama and heartache yet still are going strong, rocking on, keeping their fans old, young, new, old hungry for more. They are a band that can be enjoyed by the whole family as they also don't swear or sing about any religion or politics
my favorite song and favorite version of this song. thank you for even reacting to it and posting it. it is so underappreciated. RIP Steve "Steamin" Clark
Saw DL live in Perth and it was like a masterclass - they are so talented and the vocals were crazy .... The drummer, Rick Allen lost his arm in a car accident in 1985... he practiced sooo hard with a custom made kit until he could play the setlist.... Took him 2yrs....Their catalogue is enormous...every song could have been a top ten charter.. most of them were...
@@GlenCapps Thanks, as it was New Years Eve of 1984 some reports note the time of the accident as 84 and some 85 when the surgery was done. Either way he is amazing !
I feel very blessed to have seen them a few times live! 😁🤘🏻 They are such a great band!! Its always a fun party at their concerts, they put on such a fantastic show!!!🎉☺️ They were ALWAYS one of my top favorites in the 80's, & STILL!!! Great reaction, thank you! ❤ You gotta do some more ... "Let it go", "Lady Strange", "Mirror mirror", "Bringing on the heartbreak" , "Foolin", "Another hit & run", "Pour some sugar on me" - (orig. Video) ..... the list goes on & on ... SOOO MANY GOOD ONES!!! 😁
Off of the album , " High & Dry " AND this was the album that put this rock band on the MAP ! A little problems here & there , BUT, they are still killing over 4 decades later !
Great reaction man - hands down one of my fav ballads. Joe was a tank band then lol and yes! 1 arm drummer. He lost it in a car crash, but Rolland and the band stood by him and got him some pedals and programs to rehab with. Unreal drummer
Had 8th row to Def Leppard in the 80s. One of the best concerts I've been to. Can't afford to see them today. They still tour every year. They are in my top 5 bands. This song is great. Love your reactions
Great reaction!!! Not sure where this performance was performed, but I still have my ticket stub to the show in St. Louis at what used to be "The Arena" when they came through on this tour!!
Early Def Leppard was even better than the later stuff. On Through the Night, High n Dry, Pyromania were raw and so powerful. Listen to Stagefright off Pyromania that song will blow you away! I love Hysteria and Adrenalize as well but yeah check out the early stuff for hard hitting metal! Watch their live performance at Dortmund 1983. Wow!
Great Reaction! I loved it. And you will LOVE their studio versions of "Rock of Ages" and "Love Bites", the second purely for the amazing vocals. New sub :)
There was a dramatic movie made about the band that was kind of cheesy but there was a scene where the producer, Mutt Lange, was telling Joe Elliott he needed to sing higher. Each time he sang, Mutt would tell him no, higher and Elliot would say he can't sing any higher but Mutt demanded that he sing higher. Long story short, the iconic Def Leopard sound was the vision of one of the best record producers ever. Mutt Lange.
I’m SO HAPPY you’ve discovered Def Leppard!! My favorite favorite band!! First concert I went to back in 1993!! ROCK LEGENDS! Try “Pour Some Sugar on Me.. Hysteria.. Love Bites Rock of Ages..Rocket…just for starters 😂😉♥️🎶Feel better hun!
I know you had the craziest snap back line after you did this 🤣😂 Love you bro, keep up these fire reactions!! 🔥 "I don't see nothin hangin out that sleeve" 🤣😂😅☠️☠️☠️ But yeah, what Rick Allen does is mind-blowing. I remember reading an interview of his and it was kinda sad. He was asked about drumming with one arm and talked about imagining what he could have done if he still had both. I believe I'm recalling that correctly. Also I only read it and didn't hear it so maybe he was speaking more playfully, but as someone who plays drums it was sad. 😔
🗣 Nice Choice Jesse 👌 Def Leppard are Awesome as Usual 🤘‼️ Not Tripping Nic , 1984 Rick Allen Lost his Left Arm in a Car Accident ( Corvette ) got his Dkit Modified to Help his Journey in Rock History ‼️ ✅ of Approval 🤜🏼🤛🏽
Bringin' On The Heartache from this same concert is also killer. If you're going to react to the album version of this song, find a lyric video. The official video is edited down, and missing an entire guitar solo for some reason.
Yeah the drummer has one arm. Lost it in a car accident in the mid 80s. Leaned to make up for his missing arm with a specially made electeonix drum kit. And the band game him time to relearn
It’s difficult for me to even think of this song as a ballad. The guitars are so slow and so heavy it just rocks. Most of all it is a god damn travesty that the band doesn’t play this at every single show.
This band formed in 1977 in 1978 the drummer you just saw joined the band . In 1984 the album that this song comes from was the #2 album in the world right behind Michael Jackson's Thriller & on December 31st 1984 the drummer rolled a Corvette & the seatbelt came undone & is what took his arm off . The rest of the band at the time made the conscious decision that even though they were the next big thing to Michael Jackson , to walk away from music until their drummer could come back or until he came to the rest of the band & said to replace him because he couldn't do it anymore . But as you seen , he came back & he's still in the band today . The album that they released after he came back is one of the greatest selling albums of all time & it's done something that no other album in the last 36 years has done . That album had a total of 7 singles on Billboard's top 100 count down from August of 87 - October of 88 & 6 out of the 7 singles were in the top 10 . This band has also put out 12 albums in their career & 8 of those albums have debuted on Billboard's top 100 albums count down in the top 10 .
I’m glad you’re reacting to Def Leppard but why are you not choosing any of their hit song? They literally have over a dozen hits and you keep selecting these obscure songs!
Not to diss Rick but the original song and everything on pyromania and before was better before he lost his arm.... They are a great band but I prefer the original 3 albums
I honestly don't think his having one arm affected them over all as a band, yeah they were missing some little fills here n there, and the fans didn't get quite the drum solo they used to at concerts, I just think they leaned into radio play/pop rock a tad too much and what the label was telling them would sell the most albums. It was still solid rock music, but I agree, their first couple albums are better, High n Dry is my favorite Def song of them all.

I was blessed to be a teenager and 20’s in the 80’s we had so much fun! And the best music ever!!

Their riffs are sick.
Yes, the song is simply epic. I love all the solos. Thanks for reviewing.

its was 1984 not 1985

Have you heard Love bites yet? Amazing song!!!

Thank you for posting. This song just continues to build on itself and continues to deliver. This is a true classic masterpiece of the 80s. Carry on!
Joe Elliot has one of the best rock voices and it isnt talked about enough. Tone was great. Shreeks we're even better.
Off of the album , " High & Dry " AND this was the album that put this rock band on the MAP ! A little problems here & there , BUT, they are still killing over 4 decades later !

Esas guitarras son de otro mundo, saludos desde Peru
I believe this was in the round tour.
Beyond epic
They are hard even in their old age. Seen em live in like 2014. gonna see them again soon.
Awesome reaction bro❤
DEF LEPPARD ISone of the Best Bands on the Planet.. the drummer Rick Allen has one arm.. and is a badarse!!!!! Should do Rock of Ages next ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Had 8th row to Def Leppard in the 80s. One of the best concerts I've been to. Can't afford to see them today. They still tour every year. They are in my top 5 bands. This song is great. Love your reactions
You need to check out Def Leppard Animal live from 1988. It’s so good
Great song, always loved it. Rick Allen lost his arm in a car wreck, and relearned how to play drums with one arm.
Great reaction!!! Not sure where this performance was performed, but I still have my ticket stub to the show in St. Louis at what used to be "The Arena" when they came through on this tour!!
I knew you'd love this, Bro! This is better than the studio version. Live is a little slower tempo and the mix is great!
The Lep's are definitely amazing, many many hits. Dom, you would love Let's Get Rocked by them. Two Steps Behind another Ballad that is amazing.
Never heard this song slowed down like this. It actually worked, I loved that!! You literally feel every, single, note!!
Yep drummer has 1 arm, he plays his left arm with his foot with pedals
try Def leppard, bringing on the heartbreak. i love that song.

Hight n Dry is my all time favorite Def song!!
The thing your talking about from 7:57 is the bass doing that. Bass is very heard in this live verison. Love it
Die hard the hunter live is another too late equal, obvs by Def Leppard too!
Die Hard The Hunter might just be my favorite Def Leppard song ever.
Great Reaction! I loved it. And you will LOVE their studio versions of "Rock of Ages" and "Love Bites", the second purely for the amazing vocals. New sub :)

Voiceplay just dropped nothing else matters by Metallica!!! Your jaw be on floor hope to see your reaction! You will love this HARMONIES PROMISE !
This is a great song, but there’s even better songs from them that you’ll go crazy over
The drummer rick Allen lost his arm in a car accident and the band waited until he was ready to come back
I know you had the craziest snap back line after you did this 🤣😂
Love you bro, keep up these fire reactions!! 🔥

No you're not tripping he's a one-armed drummer he has six petals on his drum set instead of two
Bringin' On The Heartache from this same concert is also killer.

She's gone
By steal heart😎😎😎

Too bad we couldn't see it . Made it to transparent. Hate when reactors get worried of showing a video that already has thousands of views
Leo P Pard was a good guy
yup, he aint got no arm.
I’m glad you’re reacting to Def Leppard but why are you not choosing any of their hit song? They literally have over a dozen hits and you keep selecting these obscure songs!
Many of the deeper cuts are their best ones. Too Late For Love is a very good example.
Not to diss Rick but the original song and everything on pyromania and before was better before he lost his arm....
