Michael Jordan is ranked 1st all time in NBA History for points per game at 30.1, and ranked 6th all time in assists per game for a shooting guard at 5.4 per game. MJ was one of the greatest passers too, but because of his athletic abilities, usually, his dunking and layups are shown in highlight videos. He was also one of the greatest clutch players, and was able to create his own shot, which is why he didn't rely on passing as much. Offense aside, Jordan was also one of the greatest defensive players of all time. The only player to win both the NBA Scoring Title and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. Imagine that...the best offensive and best defensive player in the game...something that is extremely rare. Historically, great offensive players aren't as good defensively, and vice versa. There's usually a compromise. Sometimes, it comes to down to conserving energy for an entire game...but Jordan never slacked on either end. He was a machine.

Most don't realized it was the position that limited his passing. For the short time he played point guard he had 10 triple doubles in 11 games. They always seem to forget that the position makes a big difference it what a player is supposed to do.

When Jordan went up with his right, Perkins moved and Jordan switched hands because he thought Perkins was making a play on the ball. Jordan was one of the most efficient players ever, not wasting movements on flash. What you’re seeing is his creativity off dribble. I have been watching the NBA for 53 years. He was not my favorite as i was a Laker fan in those days, but i could never doubt his greatness as well as the fact he is The Goat.
I believe he and his teammates would have won 8 straight titles if he had not left to play baseball in 1994 and 1995.
I've never seen another with the skill set Jordan displayed constantly. He gave 110% every minute. He was durable, clutch, creative, always the best player on the court, both sides of the ball, and The Goat. No doubt.

I agree on the possibility of 8 straight. Iirc it was Houston that won both titles while he was retired and if it wasn't for being slightly rusty and out of shape he almost took the bulls to the finals and there's a very low chance that Houston would've gotten that second title that year.

Good job noticing him not passing like Larry, it was because he had no one to pass to like Larry did. Also the best thing that Kobe picked up from MJ was to play for the fans. MJ knew when he came to your town, people were coming to see him. So he didn’t take the night off, unless he was really hurt and couldn’t give you the show you deserved.

Only 5 players in NBA history have won the Scoring Title and NBA Finals in the same season. MJ is one of them and he did it 6 times. All the others combined, 4 times. One of the physical attributes that separates him from most other players in history, is his hands. Watch his ball fakes, he has huge hands which allows him to grip the ball tightly with 1 hand. His hands allowed him to grab the ball out of the air with one hand, they allowed him to do anything with the ball in the air, which made his layups and ability to constantly move the ball around much easier. Phil Jackson actually talked about it in an interview.
