If anyone has watched you from the beginning, like I have, they would know that you love propagating all your plants. I personally don’t have the space to let all my plants get huge. Trading cuttings or plant babies is how I get new varieties I want without spending $$$$. I have enjoyed every one of your videos. You show your positive and negative outcomes from propagation. Is this not how we all learn. I see plants......not dollar signs. Thank you Sean💚✌️🌿🌱🍃🦜
Aren’t you supposed to show off your gorgeous prized monsteras!? You should absolutely show them off. And you should absolutely sell them whenever the hell you want. Not because of jealousy or anything but because you’re ready. Thank you for the video! So informative and quality showing. I love them! They look great!
I bought one stunning cutting with 4 leaves with about 50/50 white or more for 4 Dollars!! I still can‘t believe how lucky I was. After half a year I bought one from the same seller for my sister ❤️
I love your channel don’t change it for anyone. You’ve always propagated your plants and you have gained so much knowledge from doing so, we’ve ALL learned from you, and you doing all the work. Don’t change anything, I love what you do. 🤗
This video is so helpful! Unfortunately, there still seems to be an issue with buyers receiving rotted cuttings. I think a lot of sellers have jumped on the trend without proper knowledge of how to care for these plants. The buyers then spend a lot of money on an unhealthy cutting that is slowly dying.
Don’t worry about those haters. I’ve learned so much from your videos and obviously, you’re knowledgeable and spend lots of time experimenting and sharing your secrets. Thanks!!
I have as Beautiful varigated monstera. But it put out 4 all white leaves. Learning that I will need to cut them off is depressing but i didnt realize keeping the white leaves is doing more harm. They are so Beautiful even though they are all white. I wish I could post a photo for you all to see. I will be chopping it this weekend and propagating what can be saved. Thank you for all priceless advice!
You have a right to show off beautiful plants. You put the money and the work into them. I have been keeping plants for years, and I continue to learn.
Haters will be haters and show they don't know who you are and never follow you . Love this topic 👏 ❤ 😍 👌 🙌 highly appreciate it . Right on spot because I got it on a node cut in 2 that got same even variegated nodes i cut in 2 for security and experiment. 1 cut went to my boyfriend's office and get indirect light and gave 3 leaves with variegation and the 2nd with me in the house but have me 1 leaf that's green and dust of white variegation getting low light from the kitchen bay window . With this video and your brave propagation ill be giving it direct light now . Keep up good works 👍 and HELLO FROM TORONTO , CANADA 🇨🇦
Your presentations r clear, comprehensive n honest. I’m leaning a lot from them; thanx so much. However I have one complaint: often your camera changes position too fast,, which can be quite dizzying for someone my age. Please be a little gentle and move yer camera slowly when moving it from one plant/plant part to another. Thanx again
Don’t apologize to these haters. Those of us genuine people who are happy, subscribe or watch your videos completely understand and do not have those thoughts at all about you. I love your content. I learn something new each time I what. Thank you for being you and sharing.
Beautiful! I don't have a lot of money but I got a Thai cutting from my Dad and made 5 plants so far. I'm going to trade one for a v. Monstera and this video helped me learn more about them because I realize they are more risky than Thai Constellation. Thanks for the help with information. Don't worry what people say, you enjoy the gift of growing your plants well the way you like, keep them, sell them or gift them. Do what is practical for you and or gives you joy! I'm keeping my Thai to trade for rare kinds because that is my need. Thanks for giving of your time
You are definitely not a show off, I’ve learned so much about houseplant care through your videos! It’s easy to see that you just truly love gardening and growing plants🥺💕
Do not pay any mind to haters! Hateful people find anything to hate on. Keep on doing you! You're the most informative and humble plant person I watch and follow.
Thank you Sean for informatif and inspiring content, as always. No, you are not show off at all. You are honest and being you. That’s what we love about you. Keep sharing, keep inspiring. I wish your dream to have a nursery and charity work for humanity will be manifested very soon.
There are humans out there that will always choose negativity. Don't let them bring you down. We've seen you house stowaway plants, and admire weeds while being surrounded by rare plants in a nursery. The majority of your viewers know you aren't showing off but sharing knowledge 💚 thank you for the time & effort you put into your videos
Thanks for giving pieces of advance in having , caring a variegated monstera. Actually I'm afraid to buy now. Many sellers are taking advantage of beauty of monstera.
I love to watch all of your videos,I really appreciate you share your knowledge to others.theres some people are heater my be they feel envy that you have a beautiful and healthy plant.
You have goals. Keep your eye on the prize and please don't let people full of snarky comments get to you. I have watched so so many of your videos and know you love propagating all your plants. I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work!
Sean you r an honest plant lover and we all know how what you r like ..ignore those people ! Love your honesty i wish you the best for your future plant nursery..🌱
You are a saviour! Mine was a case of a rotted plant! I spent 150€ for it! As you said I came forward with that problem in the sellers Instagram because they weren't responding to my e -mails and finally they offered me a new plant for free. ! You know my case I send you pictures of what was left from that monstera albo. And I couldn't agree more with you Sean! We should speak up to the exploration of our love and need for these beautiful plants.
Your video is very honest and enlightening. In the middle of this hectic plants enthusiasm, watching influencers sometimes make myself feel my way of planting is way behind. And I will keep your words: be patient with the plants. No need to speed up their growth. Thank you Sean..
Just found you a few weeks ago... excellent information .I am Hoya grower/seller (approximately 150 or so) but recently bought a variegated Monstera adansonii because it was just so beautiful. Yes, I paid too much but she was a healthy established plant and I couldn't resist, but I will not pay that price again and encourage high prices . Your videos have been invaluable teaching me the ins and outs of Monstera care. Just wanted to say thanks so much, I subscribed, my plant is thriving and I have a new found love with these beautiful plants so will be adding a few more to my collection. 💚
I love to hear your videos while I'm working or take the time to watch them if I'm strees out. Even though I have a regular monstera thanks for share everything you learned.
Thank you for sharing your monstera they are all beautiful, I’m a newbie with the variegated variety and find this video very useful and informative, looking forward to viewing the rest of your videos…thank you again 👌👌
I love that you don’t take advantage of the people like me! Im a sucker when it comes to rare plants!!!😅 I hope one day i will have more rare plants like yours!😍 take care and thanks for all the tips!
Love your videos. They are very informative. Don't listen to the haters. Haters gonna hate. In the end their comments will only make you stronger. Thank you for sharing your videos. I always go back for reference. 😁💚
First I just want to say congratulations on your success with this plant clearly you are knowledgeable about it and that’s something to be proud of!! I didn’t see you coming across as bragging at all however with all you’ve accomplished a little bragging is in order and it’s okay, you deserve it! I almost bought my first variegated monstera wet stick tonight but decided to do some research first and I’m so glad I did, you saved from a huge mistake so thank you I appreciate you and I hope your plants continue to do well so you can start your business, all the best to you 😊
Thank youu. Good luck with your baby. I have a later episode on the variegated monstera that shows how to predict variegation based on visual clues. Do check that one out if you want to know more 😀
Hi sir thank u so much this is very educational one especially to someone like me who has no knowledge at all. Whenit comes to this very valued plant more power
Love the multitude of monstera. I bought a cutting 1 year ago and I got only 2 cuttings so far, but hopefully I will get more this year. I have sold the top cutting under the market value, as I do will all my plants. I don't agree with the prices right now, no moral ethics, you are right...is a shame, everyone is after quick money...
Thank you Sean for bringing me back down to earth. Prices are crazy over in Australia. So I'll definitely take your feedback about waiting it off. Can't wait to get it in the future now that I know what to watch out for thanks to you xx
Thank you so much for your informative video. Always learning a lot from you. Much respect to you Sean. You're not show off at all. Don't mind the haters.
I agree! I would only buy rooted plants and if I sold, I would only sell in the warmer months and a fully rooted plant. ☺️💯 I appreciate the learning experiences w growing and propagating, more than the most expensive plants. I couldn't afford them anyways😆 Thanx for another great video Shaun 👍 People should also understand , a plant that is easy for you to find is not always easy to find near someone else's home. So, don't judge what plants you have vs anyone else.
Yeppp availability of plants are very different depending on where we are. I have many wishlists that dont even exist in Indonesia. So happy to have this online community so we can appreciate each others plants and share knowledge 😀
You are so awesome!!!! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I like you have always love plants but have stopped buying any for now because of the prices. Thanks again for helping answer my questions to better my plants.
You are a nice person and I like your channel. They just envy you and that’s it.Keep on informing your followers of what you learn and all which make your haters turn red of envy more 👍👍👍
I love your channel! It is so relaxing to watch ! Please, don't change, there will always be negative people! Once, these monsteras are for sale, I'd loke to purchase it!!!
I planted my Albo cutting in the pot with coco chips and covered with the plastic bag 3 months ago. Each morning the plant received some indirect sun light. Everything seemed perfect. After two weeks later I lost my cutting...... 😭😭 I totally forgot to remove the plastic bag for air circulation, . Too much condensation in the plastic bag can cause root rot....... lesson learnt. 😞 After watching your video this morning, I gain so much confidence of starting again. Thank you for sharing your propagation tips. 😃😀
Omg glad I found part 2 🥰🥰 I just bought my first one on Wednesday thank goodness it wasn't a thousand dollars... love this vlog.. thank you so much for the tips 🙏🏽
thank you for speaking up , and thank you for this video. I bought the same thing, leaf cutting, like you were showing in your video. It was too late to canceled. I'm still holding on to the leaf.
Wow....a lot of work to manage these babies! I succumbed to temptation and got a healthy one a month ago and have managed to kill it within weeks.😪Such a delightful plant but one that truly spark a lot of stress for me!
Awww man sorry to hear that. My Malaysian friends can’t find this plant there either it seems to be in very short supply there. But I have a feeling this will change in a few years time.
Oh man thank you so much!! I have a new plant that keeps throwing leaves that have less and less green and I was seriously stressing out. I've moved it away from the window, hoping the green will start to come back!! So happy to know there could still be hope!
Informative video, as usual! Your Monstera deliciosa albo are very beautiful! It’s so pricey in the market now especially here in PH, and I can’t afford it. Gotta wait for the plant industry to normalize!
Wow, this is really great info! I just wish I had found this BEFORE I spent so much money on "wet sticks" that rotted and a couple of cuttings that produced green leaves. Nothing I can do about that. But, now I have good info to help me along my Monstera journey!!
Thanks for the good info! A friend of mine bought an Albo with very little variegation and I was worried it would become a very expensive green monstera. He has it in a grow tent with artificial light. Hoping it's equivalent to your suggestion of some morning direct, but good to know there's some hope left!
Thank you so much Sean as always, great info, you are honest and genuine, if other peeps feel that way, there are tons of other plant videos they can follow. You do You ;) and don't stop making more videos. Cheers
Oh my, this video just answered all my questions and concerns! Thank you! I just got a cutting 2 weeks ago after I saved! 🤞 and then in the future I will share my cuttings to my friends and family so they won't have to spend 🤑 so much. Lol wish me luck!
Lisa A Chattanooga Tn, Dont worry your helping us with your plant knowledge I look forward to your videos thank you for you honesty you tell it like it is . One day I hope to have this beautiful plant when the prices go down it will be worth the wait .
I'm going to have to be patient! I bought a baby with 2 leaves which are smaller than my thumb! I love my baby so much though and if I can keep her alive and growing, I'll be so happy! It's about learning...
@@onlyplants Thank you!!! I'm watching one of your videos right now lol! I bought a soiless aroid mix for it a few days ago. It's in spaghnum moss and the grower told me to not transplant for a month. I'm all for taking advise and I'll take yours!
In the beginning, the cheeky smile when you're mentioning having your own nursery 1:13 then to a full-on confession of your future nursery plan @26:10 while I'm staring at your finger see-through from the white variegated leaf. Is captivating like a white satin sheet. Love all your future plans and I will follow through till the end. Maybe one day, I will visit your nursery and have a coffee looking out for all your plants. Including a corner section for all your weeds intruder plants that you adore them LOL.
This is the third time I watched this vid! Love it :) You can cut chop or do whatever you want with it - its yours! Envy is around the counter! Well, I am so envious with your plants but in a positive way :) Inspiring.
This beautiful human has taught me so much. I quickly got my cutting under a grow light because the stem has very tiny variegation. I wish I knew this before bidding for it 😞 I’d be devastated if it’s reverted.
I cannot love this video enough! I finally decided to treat myself to an albo monstera cutting, and was able to save quite a bit of money on an already rooted cutting because although the leaf did not show heavy variegation, the STEM is very much so! I can't wait to turn that into leaves as beautiful as you have! Thank you for making these videos!
My reflection after this video is that for us in north sweden the natural light is so restricted this time of year (3 hours and The angle is really low) and in summer it is light all 24 hours eaven if the sun does set. We get really a challange to give the plant enough. My patent plant gave me almost all green leaves the last 4 that came after summer. Beutiful fenestration though. The propagated top gives Beautiful variation. They live in the same pot. I plan to cut of the green leafs and use for propagation. If I loose the varigation , well then ill use them as an all green plant
You can cut back and take single node propagation, see if any will give you variegation. Any LED light can also help supplement light for the plant, it does not have to be sunlight, and also does not have to be specific branded growlights made for plants 😀
This is definitely a Dream plant of mine! 😍💕 But I'm definitely waiting till I'm ready! I'm so new to all of this! Plant 🌱 mom life... I just got a Monstera Deliciosa so that I can get a hands on experience with it 1st! & OMG! Even if I don't get a chance to get the variegated monstera I can honestly say I love! My Baby Monsta Queen!!! 👑 She's beautiful & I love everything about her! 🌱🤗💕 lol
Ppl have to realize you live in a great climate for growing plants, an if you want to propagate your plants that’s your business. 😃 Your not growing to have 1 beautiful plant in your house. I’m jealous of the climate that live with in, but hey I was born in US nothing I can do about it. Not in my old age anyway. Much love! 💚
Don't pay any attention to "haters" , some people just love to complain 🙄, new subscriber here, I appreciate your knowledge 🌞
Yeah, ignore them. They are just want to create fire and see how you react to it.

Whoaa yes, do propagate it once you have enough research. I recommend air layering them before propagating. 🤓

I struggle so hard with the Thai constellation 😅 they put out leaf in every 6 months
@@onlyplants not mine, about once a month. You probably need more light, hard to achieve enough without a good window so I have mine under lights

thank you for speaking up , and thank you for this video.
@@onlyplantsthanks Sean. am now down to a one node stick. One can hope!
this was the first video i watched on your channel. looking forward to check out more. this was really informative
Whoaa thank you. Welcome to the channel
Oh man thank you so much!! I have a new plant that keeps throwing leaves that have less and less green and I was seriously stressing out. I've moved it away from the window, hoping the green will start to come back!! So happy to know there could still be hope!
You can always chop it up later as single node cuttings ☺️
@@onlyplants I may have to eventually. But I'll give it some time and hope for the best haha
Thank you Sean! You are my life saver. I thought my albo is reverting. Thanks again. 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
😀😀
Thanks for the good info! A friend of mine bought an Albo with very little variegation and I was worried it would become a very expensive green monstera. He has it in a grow tent with artificial light. Hoping it's equivalent to your suggestion of some morning direct, but good to know there's some hope left!
Do check the growing eye/tip for potential variegation. The previous leaf does not matter so much. 🤓
Thank you so much Sean as always, great info, you are honest and genuine, if other peeps feel that way, there are tons of other plant videos they can follow. You do You ;) and don't stop making more videos. Cheers
Thank you 🐸
Sean, I've always learn a lot from your channel! Great plant🌱 information! Be encouraged!🙏🏿❤🙏🏿
Thank you 🤓
Thank you for the variegation on your Monsteras! Very useful!!😊
You’re welcome 🥰
Good luck! Give it good light, dont overwater, and use balanced NPK ratio fertilizer
Haha thank youu
This is the third time I watched this vid! Love it :) You can cut chop or do whatever you want with it - its yours! Envy is around the counter! Well, I am so envious with your plants but in a positive way :) Inspiring.
Thank you 😌
I love your channel!! You are so passionate and knowledgeable about these gorgeous plants!!! 🌱💚🌱💚
Thank youuu ❤️
This beautiful human has taught me so much. I quickly got my cutting under a grow light because the stem has very tiny variegation. I wish I knew this before bidding for it 😞 I’d be devastated if it’s reverted.
I just discovered this channel and wow what a wealth of knowledge! Thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us.
I truly appreciate all the advice you give in this video! Thank you for going into so much detail!
The ultimate guide to Variegated Monstera! Very informative! The prices are out of this world! Lots of wind, but miss the peeing fish ;)
Haha its always windy when Im filming... I don’t know why I’m being punished this way 😂😂
I love you're video's ♥️♥️♥️ I would love to buy of your Albo Monstera when you're ready to sell them. Thanks for all the tips!! You're awesome ☺️
Me too!!!
Great video Shawn. I found you a couple of days ago. I have much respect for you. You are a man of integrity. Keep working toward your goals. 👍😊
Thank you so much. Welcome to the channel!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏!!!!!!!!! AMAZING VIDEOS ....Many , many Blessings come your way 🙏🏻
Beautiful plants 🌱 Enjoy watching your videos....very informative👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you
I cannot love this video enough! I finally decided to treat myself to an albo monstera cutting, and was able to save quite a bit of money on an already rooted cutting because although the leaf did not show heavy variegation, the STEM is very much so! I can't wait to turn that into leaves as beautiful as you have! Thank you for making these videos!
Sweet!!
Much love! 💚
Thank youu
Thank you for another very informative and interesting video 🙏👏
