Thank you very much for making this video! I'm glad you went the hard route, as there is a lot of history behind the pastiches, but as much research as it took, the video came out very complete. I'm a huge fan of these pastiches, and DC's are often so underrated compared to Marvel's, and not many people know about these characters with so much wasted potential.

I'm honestly not sure what that would look like as I feel like these characters are not well thought out parodies. For example if you want to create a copy of Captain America why would you first think of a knight? Is it because of the shield? what has a knight to do with America?
for the record I do like their versions of Thor and Iron Man Even if their names are kind of weird and the best version of this world is by far the one that appeared in "Countdown" sincere this world really doesn't have much to offer I do see marvel doing something with squadron supreme i won't see in 50 years dc doing anything with earth 8 in general

A Plastiche Marvel Universe with many heroes and villains that resemble they're respective Marvel Counterparts. It's an interesting concept.
Lady Bug = the Jessica Drew Spider-woman. Blue Jay is Hank Pym and may have originally been his Yellowjacket persona

@@DCnez it’s more of my take. But the popularity of Multiverse plot in media kinda getting repetitive. It’s most feels like follow leader situation. No one actually does interesting stories.
@@shadowclaw7210 I would argue that multiverse stories are still pretty fun but ever since the MCU has been messing with the idea, the mainstream perception of "the multiverse" has affected other franchises that could create very cool stories about it. I haven't watched it yet, but Everything Everywhere All At Once has received nothing but praise and positive feedback, so it's a very recent exemple of something that could feel fresh to an otherwise "overexplored" concept.

I think MARVEL gives respect and actually uses the characters they create in DC's image. On the other hand DC tries to make fun of MARVEL with their replicas.

I always thought Blue Jay was an analogue to Wasp since she was the first Avengers leader.
Honestly, I've always been curious about this concept, but DC has always just treated the characters terribly. Marvel's Squadron Supreme has been actually good a couple times, but the Justifies/Retaliators barely even feel like characters whenever they appear. Ironically, Lord Havok is probably the only stand out from their universe, imo.
I almost feel like there is an editorial mandate to make them shitty, since DC has had writers who had a great handle on the Marvel versions like Busiek.

Quick correction - Darkseid didn't kill FP Batman but did a similar thing that happened to Bruce wherein Thomas was sent back to the Flashpoint timeline (story continues in Flashpoint Beyond).
Doctor Multiverse is actually a pastiche of MCU Captain Marvel - in some of the Infinite Frontier comics, there are lines about her complaining that she isn't accepted by what seems keyboard warriors, talking about the hate Brie Larson gets from playing Captain Marvel.
I think Ladybug is sepose to be a pastige of spiderwoman since she is more conected with the avengers than spidey
Oh yes, I have probably twice as many Marvel Figures as I have DC even though I only have 3 Marvel Earth's compared to 6 DC. My Marvel Earth's are not as diverse as their DC counterparts with Varients. As a result, I have Marvel 616: my Most Complete Earth. Then I have Marvel 777: Mostly Older Toy Biz, some New, also Power Rangers, Customs, and Independents. My final Marvel Earth is 818: this is my Futuristic Marvel Earth, I have built a 'Children of the Avengers' Team, and the X-Men are now led by Old Man Logan. I have managed to find some Futuristic looking Avengers; Armored Thor, Iron Man 2020, Ultimate Captain America, Advanced Black Panther and Shuri Black Panther, a slightly older looking Scarlet Witch, White Vision, and others. Marvel is usually better at giving us Villains so, I could use some more, I'm sure it will catch up.

I believe the characters here would make for compelling storytelling, but I also feel that the Avenger's lore is more complex and intricately woven because of many years of publication and a lot of ties in compared to this one. It would make a one off spin for a movie production, but I don't know what the continuity would look like.

Well, in Action Figures I am a 29 year Collector, have built 10 different Earth's, I have about 5,000 figures! Six of those are DC Earth's! I have;
Earth 1: Main DC
Earth 2: Justice Society
Earth 3: Crime Syndicate
Earth 6: Kingdom Come style
Earth 23: Watchmen style
Earth 35: Created Equal, All Female style
I was a bit lazy with numbers, Earth 6 is letter F for Futuristic as the Heroes are more Futuristic, Dick Greyson Batman working with Terry McInnis Batman Beyond for example. Earth 23 is obviously for W the 23rd letter, I have an Expanded Watchmen team, and 35 is C and E, the 3rd and 5th letter. I've had to really Fudge all Female Villainesses Team. I even fudged a 'Daugher of Kang' with a Robot Army to increase the threat. Added an Evil-Lyn, a couple of women from the Invincible line. This was an almost accidental Earth. I also used to be the local Comic Book Store Owner. The Media Chain Hastings went out of business, so they called me and offered me a one hour head start before they opened their doors for their 'Going out of Business' sale! I ended up buying about 30 DC Female Figures for next to nothing! I had versions of many of these, but they were Alternate versions; New 52, Wonder Woman movie, Elseworlds, Arrowverse versions that I didn't have. There weren't a lot of Villainesses though, so I've had to scramble a bit so it's not as one-sided. It wasn't all Female Figures, just mostly. I wish I could have gotten even more. But I did okay.
In my opinion, both Marvel and DC are amazing universes filled with imaginative heroes and villains respectively , and they are equal in all areas 😊

Personally, I would eliminate American commando and American crusader and replace it with "General Glori" (a DC character that was already a parody of Captain America but his design was better and his personality was more similar to Cap's wail steal parody)
I like the New 52 iteration better, I feel it is more complete and has more potential for stories of a team of heroes with internal problems.
By the way ¿does anyone knows the reason why this world's version of spider-man doesn't seem to matter ? I mean in no version did you mention that character more than two lines

Marvel respect DC's JLA, the Squadron Supreme is a real homage and it's really important in Marvel, not a parody. DC is less correct and use these characters as mockery.

Honestly d c isn't ever really made a good pastiche of marvel.
The squadron Has been the perfect one. Not only does it work as a villain team Or more Brutal superhero team.
Since d c's main book is always been the jl book it's helped when the squadron are dealing with whoever in the main universe. Hyperion alone Create a number of problems for multiple Figures of the marvel universe solve against.
Meanwhile marvel Big face franchise has always kind of shifted around. Spider man Fantastic four x men little better than avengers don't really make the universe.

I kind of agree. When I saw how Marvel mimicked the justice League with Squadron Supreme, it was amazing. They somewhat still respected the DC Characters, especially with Hyperion and Power Princess
