These things are immortal, hitting 60 off-road out on exercise in Batus, Canada. Feels like you're passing through the upper atmosphere in a rocket and leaves you without a spine but fuck me these things just kept on going.
I personally like to go camping in a battle tank. No better feeling than being out in the beautiful countryside while laying down covering fire
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's what my armored fellow troop said to me as he walked by me as I packed my ruck.
He's like "infantry... I could never carry my ruck for miles, I just throw it on the tank and hop in".
This guy is a genius and does some awesome fabrication work!!!
I take my hat off to him. Very well done!
this blokes fabrication and thought process is a+
I love this sort of build - so much thought and tinkering has gone in to it to get everything as simple and effective as possible, without breaking the bank. Stuff like rim as a fire pit is an awesome idea! If I didn't have the Drifta fire pit, I would definitely use that idea under my 80! Love the swing up sides acting as awnings too.
that's pretty ingenious, just looks like another old retired military vehicle, but it's actually a really capable expedition vehicle. This guys a genius.
"outside..... true camping, that's how ya do it" LEGEND
That is the Taj Mahal of Army rigs! Very nicely done!
What a top Aussie bloke, he has some lucky lucky grandkids
35 mins, and we are still getting a tour of this vehicle....quite amazing setup....its probably what every overlander wants to achieve....Its built for serious terrain, its got all the space someone might need. all the conveniences of a mobile overlanding home !!!
awesome stuff
'Did ya get the missile launcher?' Ha ha, there's an accessory not everyone's got.
Perfect vehicle for this type of show as it puts a person with a vehicle that works for them rather than a showpony. Doesn't matter if another person likes it or not it works for the owner. Cool stuff.
Ideas man? This man's a genius. Congrats on winning Modified
I’ve had both the double crew cab and the ambulance version here in the UK. Unfortunately the ambulance had a brake issue (air in the system) which I couldn’t resolve no matter what I did. Lack of speed was the issue that made me get ride of both of them. Another issue I had was reversing in heavy mud. Because of the two sets of parallel wheels, in heavy mud you cannot steer. Now I’ve watch your video! I wish I hadn’t got ride of them and persevered.
Cool little beast you have there👍🏻
I used to work on the Norforce ones in Darwin, as the Army would sub out some of their work to private workshops. Some of them had a big air compressor running off the drive belt, while others had a large generator running off the belt and the generator was used for welding repairs. Many of the Army guys were Aboriginal and would go to coast positions in Arnhem land and live off the land and do coastal surveillance for yatchs dropping off drugs etc.
Normally I'll never get through long youtube videos but with these episodes I always want them to be longer! Top bloke with a top rig. Amazing work Ronny.
0:17 I love how the Closed Captions (CC) pickup the diesel engine as "applause"! Lol
Sweet, I have 4x4 Perentie in the US, very cool rigs.
You imported an ex Australian Army vehicle?
could have watched three more hours of vid on this vehicle!! one of the best I've seen yet on the modified series. Fantastic bloke and great work Ronny!! thanks!
LONE GALLOPER Overland I reckon another 3 hours and Steve would still be pulling out more bells and whistles and custom mods. Top job.
I love this guy hes got that thing dialled in perfect for himself true old school bloke
Lost track of how many times ive watched this episode. Planning on buying one of these beasts soon. Keep using this espisode for research.
I really like how Ammo set the truck up for comfort. And a PlayStation for rainy days. Makes camping with Gramps a hit every time 😎
Dream machine! #wishlist I spend a lot of time looking at the FLM auctions on Pickles!
That's one fantastic vehicle. It's owner is an absolute genius and Craftsman, who takes pride in his workmanship.
This video is a pleasure to watch. Thank you for sharing your time.
One of the greatest episodes of Modified ever! Thanks Ronny and Ammo :-)
This bloke is a true legend, awesome job mate. Loved it. Cheers Moose.
What's the worst thing about this truck?
When ronnie steals your cigarette lighter 🤣🤣
This truck is a wet dream mate. Absolutely perfect!
This guy is a genius and does some awesome fabrication work
Fantastic build
Has to be one of the best well thought out setups I’ve ever seen
What an awesome beastie! Guys like Steve here make me feel like I'm not a real man. I can't just fabricate stuff like that. I can just about make a cup of tea.
Steve is a genius, I keep coming back to watch his awesome rig rundown.👍
A truly epic vehicle!!!! One of the best “modified episodes“ :)
This is an epic build, and I'm only halfway through!
I just wanted to say that you are a true inspiration to your country. I wish we had less corruption in the states to enjoy the same style of over landing life as you have.
Bloody brilliant .... extremely well thought out and must be a real talking point wherever it goes! Cheers!
Everything he's done is absolutely awesome. Cleverly designed and perfectly crafted. Hats off.
Thank you very much, good to see you teaming up with Drifta ,Luke and his son are the best.
Great build. Practical and simple, but with enough comfort to live in indefinitely.
What an Awesome Set up, Love the LANDROVER
BTW, that is a BIG step up from a Patrol fella!
Not a luxury camper but simpel and effective and work still under harshest condiotions in deep mud or heavy rain and climb also difficult trail sections. A outback campers dream!
So many innovative ideas on this build. I might have to borrow some of Ammo's concepts for my build. Another great video Ronny. Five stars again. 👍
Reminds me of my army days back home in Australia, got I miss the Aussie life.
My favorite episode so far.
Now that's a vehicle and a half. Great run through Ronny and Ammo :-)
Steve has done a Top job on customising his 6 X 6. I am turning all olive drab & camo with envy. Never got the chance to drive a 6 X 6, plenty of time in the 4 X 4 and some Unimog
Incredible vehicle, outstanding modifications and good piece of motoring journalism.
This was worth the wait! Incredible rig! Excellent!
What a gorgeous machine! Love it!
top build Steve
Wow this guy is an excellent fabricator. What a great truck.
Awesome! Nice fabrication on the mods too.
Great video Ronny. I belong to a page on FB with like minded individuals who since they live in the UK have Landrovers. They would kill to have one of the Perenties over their Defender 110's and 90's. We too bounce ideas off each others heads even though us state side guys have different vehicles other than Land Rovers. I for instance have a 1979 F-350 4x4 yet we all have ideas that work universally.
Awesome, well thought out and tuff to boot.
Love the fact he made his own parts...jealous
Steve is a natural!
Mate. That is really really good. Thank you both for sharing this. It is excellent
Top vid Ronny, lets see some vlogs of you touring around the east coast. Be great to see you and your mate's rigs touring the high country and goldfields of Vico!
Very underrated vehicle. Makes a lot of sense as a touring vehicle, especially for those who do not want to tow a trailer.
The standard of engineering in the original Perentie and also by this gentleman are outstanding.
I reckon this is one of the best modified by a good margin.
Ronny always love your videos mate .....fan from Trinidad and Tobago!!!
What a ripper of a rig, Steve 👍
Awesome truck ! I want one ! 😎👍🇺🇸
Man that was the best 40 minutes of my friday
This was awesome. The host did a great job and the driver is basically an engineer lol. Great stuff.
I'm fascinated by that rear suspension.
I have a 6x6 Perentie too, don't really like the articulation system. Not really for really rough tracks. I reckon a trunion suspension would be superior.
meticulously thought out build and well executed
This episode is awesome!
That feature is awesome!!! Beats everything 27:09
Great video Ronny, really interesting well done.
That thing is crazy
WOW!....Nice mods. on All-Purpose 6x6!!!....A+
Epic modifications. Cool ideas Ammo.
Absolutely awesome!! Love all the mod vids, this one of the best! Keep it up Ronhy!
Very cool and well modded car. Nice job.
Cool setup
awesome setup, nice work
Nice set up
Great work... Top marks on the build mate
Awesome ep! Keen to see a 75 series one day
Great work mate 👍 very inspiring.
Wow...what an epic build Truck. Would be a nice addition to my tiny Defender 90 :D ... cool dude as well.
This guy is a genius!
Very well equipped and designed 6x6 , nothing said about how it goes off-road , sand , mud or climbing hills etc , also nothing said about top speed on the highways , i know it's a truck but a 4 speed gearbox is very limiting , still an awesome vehicle :-)
Awesome setup
Awesome rig!
Nice rig. Guys a genius.
So well thought out
Amazing. Iv been looking forward to this.
Sell off some of your vino or something and buy one, not as fast on the hwy as your wagon, but more fun... the basic vehicle sells as low AUD15000 at the AFM auctions.
i watched this and my first thought was to tag you lol but im a little late pmsl i love this can we get these over here?? i dont think ive ever seen one atb gaz
I honestly would love one of these to take my kids out camping
This is the coolest modified!!!
Awesome truck 👍
This thing is faaarkin awesome

That’s awesome
Nice machine mate👍🇳🇿
Hes very crafty, that’s awesome
The mileage is very good for its size and weight. I didnt expect that.
Awesome truck.. well done
Awesome vid!! Fan from Ethiopia.
Rapier SAM; we used to tow those behind Land Rover 101 forward controls, when they weren't towing 105mm L118's. We didn't have anything as nice as this lol.
