Except for the cloud of daggers I cast ages ago in Isobel’s room clipped through the floor and killed Councillor Florrick and so now the whole inn was aggro on me

the cape is so useful on monk because you can kill a guy go invis then back up a lil so they dont see you with detect invisibility instead of having to travel 3000 miles so they use dash

Bit of advice for moonrise towers, you can by pass Ketheric's cinematic in the throne room by going up into the rafters and leaping behind his throne. This allows you to clear out the second floor as well as Ketheric's boss arena, this will thin out some of the defenders during the harper assault as well as take out almost all of Kethic's adds so you don't have to fight them during his first fight. You can then go trigger the cinematic which will send the half orc up stairs where you can take her out in a 1v1 fight, making the harper assault even easier.

I’m also doing a lone wolf monk playthrough (way of shadow), and the fight with the Apostle of Myrkul was so frustrating because of the Stillness of Mind feature. Though I did discover that Elixir of Bloodlust sort of mitigates the loss of your action after getting frightened, but only if the extra action had been activated on the turn before you got frightened. Probably a bug, but it worked in my favor. I was also bummed to discover that the darkness arrows don’t really refresh the darkness in the same area. I got around that by shooting an arrow in my own vicinity to hide in about a turn before the darkness on Myrkul ran out. I was very proud of myself for getting through the fight, but it took me HOURS of trial and error plus some barrelmancy.

I just finished up a solo monk run, I solved the shadow curse with Guiding Light ring for the cantrip. I decided to off hand the Club of Hill Giant Strength and went tavern brawler but otherwise its basically the same; Hit things - Run Away. With illithid powers you absolutely cannot be caught by anything because fly, like jump, gives you way more movement than you would otherwise have.
With Araj Oblodra's elf potion gives you more movement( i don't remember if it doubles the speed or adding 12 meters more)
I played a lonely monk, it was hell of a fun, but unfortunately the act 3 of my playthrough just sorta end because of a strange lagging, my character required a few seconds after commanding him to hit
there was this bug where the game kept track of every crime you ever comitted infinitely, so if you stole something in act 1 the game was continually checking for guards that would be aligned to that steal up until the end of the game, which got really bad since there are a few areas in the game where you can "steal" lots of stuff even though it's not really stealing, like taking the stuff from auntie ethel's house after she runs into the basement. i got it too on a run where i didn't "steal" anything, but i took stuff after killing their owners, like with auntie ethel, and it got really bad, to the point where it would take a full minute for some spells to play out. it's fixed now, though, not sure if it's also retroactively fixed for old runs or just for new ones.
23:21 - You already did some of it in their dungeons. But I learned on my first playthrough you can kill a lot of these people before the final assault by just pushing them into the water or down cliffs or talking to certain people. It's almost like they want you to kill them beforehand.

Once I did a lonewolf run myself and when I reached the gauntlet of shar I did everything including taking the spear for killing the nightsong and when I reached the nightsong my character took the spear in his hands and I already saw my character become a dark justiciar but the narrator told me that I was not the one that should use it but I tried to kill nightsong anyway and nothing happened. It was very sad.
Darkfire Shortbow is my favorite bow.

How is automatically ending a charm/frighten bad? Wouldn't those normally remove your chance to act manually at all?
It's only bad sometimes because it uses your action, frightened/charmed effects don't explicitly take away your turn but rather your ability to do certain things, frightened prevents movement, charmed can prevent much more depending on the effect, but there are some situations when I would rather have my action than be able to move, such as in the Myrkul fight when I wanted to fire a darkness arrow but couldn't because I had my action stolen. Basically I would just like the ability to be toggle-able at the very least!
