These are a cultural icon in Denmark where they are from. Pretty sure it was started by some young guys inspired by homemade speakers used at music festivals like Roskilde. It is literally impossible to be at a party where these aren’t used. The picture on the website where they carry it to the beach isn’t lying, two bros can manage to carry it. They kind of dominate party culture here now. I’m not trying to sell these lol but I thought I should give context to how popular they are here
This is very true. I have had a couple of "parties" where we go from house to house. Walked at least 10 km and traveled 60 or more on bus and train (turning the volume way down under transport or turning off if asked to) to then start the party again at the next house with a blast. The best thing is, we can do this on just one full charge most of the time. The only problem with having these everyere is a lot of people don't turn the volume down, while being at the beach or park, so it becomes way to much at times, having 5 of these blasting different music.
You can actually get them in stereo, in the APP you can chose left, mono or right. You also have EQ in there. And a pro panel setting to chose what source you connect, mic, mixer/line etc. The LED on the battery lights up when u press the Soundboks rubber logo.
Once they're set-up in stereo do you need the app everytime? Or can they be used as a 2 channel Home entertainment system connected to my TV? I want to use optical out on my TV to these monsters let's say....

Aaaahhh the Soundboks also known as The Destroyer of Peace and Quietness in Denmark. These speakers are from a danish company and have grown SUPER popular with people in the 15-25 age group over last 4-5 years in Denmark, and are now the just the standard for young people partying in the summer

As an avid backpacker, the trick to this type of thing is to set up the hip belt to take the brunt of the weight, and the shoulder straps to stabilize. This can be a tricky thing to do with some packs, but it's amazing how much better it is. Usually I use a 20 lb pack, but I have done a trip through mountain terrain with a 35 lb pack (camera equipment).
Teufal is rubbish, weighs 4 times as much for only 20mins of battery at full volume, soundboks lasts 5hrs at max volume. Teufal doesn't compare as a PORTABLE battery speaker.
I have the second generation of this with the backpack. One trick is tooth turn it the other way is waay more comfortable. That way i have walked a 10km hike with it. And as a unistudent living near a park it is probably my greatest invest in my social life, since I am now garantied to be invited to Any party. That way I am also the one controlling the music!

You absolutely can do a right and left. However, you can't do it using Bluetooth. Instead, you get a little dongle for your phone that transmits in SKAA. Why? Because not only does that protocol work MUCH better than Bluetooth, but it is made to transmit Audio. Anyway, you use the SKAA protocol and the SKAA app to set your speakers for right and left. Look, you've already spent $2k for two of these, what's another $100 for the dongle? All I can say is it is AMAZING. I've passcoded my Bluetooth so that nobody can easily just connect and virtually no one has a SKAA dongle, so your speaker isn't going to be hijacked. Unfortunately you still need the Bluetooth Soundboks app to set your bluetooth code, and your EQ setting, but using the SKAA app, you can control system volume as well as right/left/mono and other aspects. Better yet, the system, once configured, automatically links up exactly as you set it on power up. So long as your have the dongle in your phone first, everything just works. I think far too many people are completely overlooking the power of the SKAA technology. It's not just for linking speakers, but controlling true wireless speaker systems. The LEDs will light up to give you battery status when you press the rather stealth button to the left of the LEDs on the other side of the strap. Your idea of XLR stereo would work where you feed the left to a speaker and right to another and then use the SKAA to link up to 4 others to each of them. But do you really need 10 of these? Just use a SKAA transmitter and do it all wirelessly. Of course, if you are using the PRO level of SKAA, you are limited to just 2, but the max latency would be only 19ms. Both the Soundboks and SKAA apps allow you to control the speaker's volume knob.
A friend of mine has one of these, he never puts it past level 2 and man it was so damn loud and clean sounding. You can feel the bass pumping through your body.
