Thank you for creating this video. It was the only one I could find online that walked a person through the steps to reset brakes. I recently had a sunroof hose leak that allowed water to get to the parking brake box and wheel well. I was able to fix the leak, dry everything out, reinstall the brake box, and reset the brake with your help. Saved me approximately $500 that a Jeep dealership quoted for the part and service. Your help is appreciated!
Thank you so much! This greatly helped my father and I fix a customer's brakes. He's old fashioned and doesn't work on newer vehicles much. Very much appreciated!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You saved my A$$!!!! I had a really hard time finding someone that had the same vehicle and actually walked you thru the process!! I am a new Sub. now!
Thanks a bunch for this vidoe this sure helped me out with my parking break switch and releasing the actuators I never new till I found your video hang down the best walk through video
Can you do this process after you’ve already fit the calipers around the brake pads? I put on new pads on the rear and the car is driving fine but the damn service park break sign won’t go away.
Hi. I just stumbled across your video which I've found very informative and to the point. I wonder if the same principles can be applied to change rear brakes of a 2018 Jeep Compass since I haven't found an instructional video for it. Thanks in advance for your prompt response. 😊👍
Can anyone access this program on the screen in their 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, or did you use a special tool to get there? I want to flat tow my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014 2 wheel drive, but in order to disconnect the drive shaft, first I must deactivate the parking brake when the Jeep is in neutral gear to go down the road behind my motorhome.
Same for me. Did you ever get it fixed? Mine is currently torn apart and I took the electronic brake motor off and tried to screw the piston down by hand. I am going to need a bit bigger than a T40 to fit. My thought was to manually screw the piston all the way down the electronic brake screw shaft and then compress the piston.
Why? It is a superior design for everyday cars in most aspects. No cables to seize or break. No need to spin caliper when compressing using a special tool. No star wheel adjusters to seize or shoes to replace. It adds an oring to seal the backside hole, which should be easy to replace if it ever leaks. It is worse if you have complete hydraulic pressure loss i suppose, and worse for doing slides. Once you know how to put it in maintainence mode it is so easy, either through the car, scan tool, or manually by disconnecting motor and powering it.

I Look forward to working on these systems!
Is it possible to apply new calipers, brake pads and actuator on if the uconnect stopped working?
How do you release with no key phob
Can I do that direct with an 18 volt battery (Einhell).
My 2014 Cherokee doesn't have this option on the display unit. How do I reset without the brakes option?

Thank you very much sharing the vdo. it helps in my work.
I tried this but the prompt read, "can't perform action, vehicle must be in park or neutral". I tried it in park and neutral numerous times.
Didn’t work on a renegade. All it says is parking service is unavailable

Electronic parking brake are almost the pinnacle of stupid shit cars don’t need. 2nd only to auto start stop!
I will never own a car with EPB.
