Rode the .Italo from Florence SMN to Milano at 300kph, one of my favorite train journeys so far.
I am a train and I approve this footage.
You are the same that approved the Trieste's tram?
I've seen many of your vids, and congratulate you on completing your transformation into a train
I am also a train and i approve this too
I am a train also. And I am speaking for all trains that also approve this footage
The reporter is talking impressed about the 250kmh top speed whereas this is the slower train of NVT. their AVG 575 italo can run 320-350 kmh!
Indeed, but the AGV is French and made by Alstom, like the TGV.
@@andreidanielpetre The Italo EVO is based on the New Pendolino which is also built by Alstom. Your point being?
@@andreidanielpetre made on Italian project and engineering after FIT sold FIAT Ferroviaria to Alstom.
@@MrMaximino92 The project was british, then italians bought it and now Alstom bought them
They dont go above 300km/h though, 360 is the theoretical limit
I used to travel with Italo AGV (and also this train model).
I used AGV to go from Milan to Naples and this one from Naples to Rome.
It was insanely fast!
I took the Frecciarossa from Naples to Rome last Summer. 300kph is an incredible speed on a train. I will do the same trip this Summer on the .italo - it'll be interesting to see how they compare.
I used to travel Italo train service from Geneva, Switzerland via Milano to Rome Italy 2020 February. Train speed can see in the screen. It was 350 Kmh and smoothly moving the train though mountain fantastic journey. there are first class and second class only and both classes are not much different. Ticket fair is reasonable. Italy people are very friendly and helpful. Italy is beautiful country. I like to visit again different root by Italo train.
they aren’t allowed to go above 300km/h, 360 is the theoretical top speed for service
@@ce1834 I'll be honest; he's probably saying the truth. Many times here in Liguria I've been on trains that regularly broke theoretical speeds limits in sections where no train should go over 60/120/180 km/h... @@urfavoritehumanbean879 maybe on local lines yes, high speed lines are fitted with ETCS signalling, meaning it would not be physically possible, if the driver exceeds the speed, it would be brought to a complete stop

I am from India. This is world's most beautiful train. 🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

frecciarossa 1000 is the best
Excellent video. Extremely professional production with amazing access to the cab and important players. Well done. Clear how much time and effort went into this.
I was shocked at how fast I was able to go with trenitalia and how cheap it was. Amtrak I’d be spending 80-100$ for a trip like that. I miss it.
It's shocking how little the US invests in train transportation and how expensive it is on comparable trips.

In the mean time in Kenya we're at 160km/h, Europe at 200km/h and Chinese are at 450km/h. And celebrations are at equilibrium in each nation
And in America, 50 km/h! 🤣
@@thegreypenguin5097 lol🙄🙄.. Are they not the first world nation
@@tonnyanthonys2159 🤣 clearly you haven't been on American trains. The country might he first world but the railways are not. Amtrak just bought brand new high speed trains that are legit going to run at 40 mph for a considerable part of the route.
@@thegreypenguin5097 🙄🙄.. That is unbelievable,
@@tonnyanthonys2159 200 km/h is quite the understatement for Europe, there are many European trains that can and do run at operating speeds of around 300 kh/h and even more like AVG Italo, Siemens Velaro E and Talgo 350. AVG italo has reached a top speed of 574,8 km/h in 2007 which is the world record, though of course that isn't the speed it's designed to operate at normally: its commercial top speed is fixed at around 360 km/h.
Like the new video very much.

This train will be much faster when, eventually, the whole east west corridor becomes high speed. Unfortunately, as of now, this train has to use and share some conventional lines between Venice Milan. When it becomes fully High Speed the travel time will drop massively.
And there will be even more visitors in Venice, hurrah !
Any difference between frecciarossa and the italo?
@Riccardo Venturino They are different trains. Italo is an AGV train set with distributed power. Frecciarossa is an ETR500.
in simple words, freccia rossa is more quick, and speed inspired, italo is more comfortable and "vip" like / in pratica il frecciarossa va piu veloce e l'italo e piu comfortevole e esclusivo se si vuole
Italo is a private HSR operator which focuses more on comfort and fecciarossa is Italy’s flagship train which focuses on speed

It is tilting, the speeds are limited by the infrastructure though

Stop complaining, some countries still have steam trains 😁
wow sometimes I forget how much better Europe is at trains lol
The XPT is the British Intercity 125. These trains are now approaching 40 years old. Britain has mostly retired the vast majority of this fleet. I think Australia needs to invest on some new rolling stock.

ALL FUTURE RAIL SHOULD BE HIGH SPEED
it will be
Freight trains and suburban commuter trains won't be high speed and for some good reasons...
High speed trains are very impressive. However, if you are a tourist and want to see the scenery of the country, these trains are just too fast. The scenery is a blur, and in Italy much of the journeys are in tunnels. Slow trains on curvy, scenic tracks are the way to go if you are visiting a country. Of course ride the high speed train once for the experience.

Historically Italy lost only one war
@@yli97 It was recognized that even the Italian ships and planes of the Second World War were stylistically more beautiful. However, this was of no help in winning a war.

Hello
I'm italian and I didn't know it takes 3,5 hours from Venice to Torino..... I usually take the italo from Milano Centrale over Firenze to Napoli Afragola and it takes only 1 hour more? How is that possible....I know half of time to Napoli you run 300km/h but I think you don't take as longas you said but I don't know
HS infrastructure is complete only from Brescia, while Milan-Napoli stretch is fully HS (even if it will be even faster while Firenze underpass will be completed).
Currently HS stretch between Brescia and Verona is under construction, while in the next few years they will start to build the remaining HS tracks toward Venice
Da Brescia in poi non c’è l’alta velocità, viaggia a 220 o 180 km/h a seconda della tratta.
Psst a radar for crash avoidance would be innovative..Japan high speed safety record is longest in world in distance and time.every train has a driver and driver assistant all the time while moving.
Along the railway there is a security system each tot meter that count axes that pass connect to red /orage lamp, Raidway are divided in secion in one secion there can be only one train if there are two train the security system will turn on the red /orange light therefore the train will stop/slowdown
Is it me or Xavier has a french accent ???
ALSTOM is a french company!
If it really true to its heritage, then the train would have non spec engine that burns oil for extra straight line speed
there are electric bois

"It seems that the heavy work in the quarries and the new railway gradings is done mainly by Italians. That was a revelation. We have the notion in our country that Italians never do heavy work at all, but confine themselves to the lighter arts, like organ-grinding, operatic singing, and assassination.
