◢ MY PALETTE
Oil paints are very expensive, I know. For beginning artists, I'd recommend to start with studio quality paints and then replace one color after another with professional paints - or you start with only a few colors: ultramarine blue, white, black, burnt sienna, lemon yellow and cadmium red light.
⇢ Burnt Sienna from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2uO1bcr
⇢ Yellow Ochre from Rembrandt:amzn.to/2f1dRaJ
⇢ Ultramarine blue light from Schmincke Norma: amzn.to/2uNH1iF
⇢ Magenta from Schmincke Norma
⇢ Cadmium red deep from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2ucI8VQ
⇢ Cadmium red light from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2uR7NFu
⇢ Permanent red violet from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2uOjz5e
⇢ Alizarin Crimson from Sennelier*
⇢ Naples yellow light from Schmicke Norma: amzn.to/2vbvT07
⇢ Titanium white from Schmincke Norma
⇢ Royal Blue from Schmincke Norma
⇢ Sèvres blue from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2uQMofE
⇢ Olive Green from Schmincke Norma
⇢ Prussian blue from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2hg1Qii
⇢ Phtalo green cool from Sennelier: amzn.to/2f1H6Kl
⇢ Ivory black from Rembrandt: amzn.to/2hh1RTd
⇢ Lemon Yellow: from Schmincke Norma: amzn.to/2uNZRqf
◢ Other Materials
⇢ oil paint medium that works best for my technique: LIQUIN ORIGINAL from Winsor & Newton: amzn.to/2uNV8ot

You need to try their watercolors as well, White Nights! They are amazing!
Thally white nights watercolour is the professional grade .. there is also a student watercolor from the same brand.. . It is called sonnet and I use them and I love them so much!!
I absolutely love them really!!
I'm from Russia, so i use this brand a lot)) I have no problem with mars black, but with grayish tones of black this thing happens. Don't know about skintones, because i never use them.
Love your paintings, your vision and your style. You have unique sense of beauty and i like that you are always explore it. I want to tell you lots of compliments, but my writing-english is too bad))
You should really try russian watercolours "Leningradskaya". It's one of the best i ever used. Very old and very good brend.
And by the way you pronounced the name of paint perfectly.
Nataly Patyueva I'm from India... And I love Russian art... They r classics. I just wish I could afford to study arts in Moscow
@@advocatesp7559 Um. Why Moskow? I mean there is Saint Petersburgs MUHA. And it may even be cheaper.

Here. Maybe it would be of help. Also, its in Russian.
AAAHHHH I've been looking for some good oil paints that are still affordable! I'm currently painting a larger painting, and I had REALLY cheap oil paints. The thing is they are so thick, so I have to mix a bunch of medium with it for it to work. But on an older painting, I realized where I used a lot of medium (Fast drying medium) it began to yellow, and ruined the painting. So I bought a tube from another brand, it was so much better! The brand is masterclass, and I decided to buy their set. But the paints in the set were NOT the same quality as the single tube, even though it's the same brand! I used it for a bit, but suddenly the consistency of the paint changed ( I don't know what happened?) But they became really goopy and awful and were almost impossible to control, they didn't even work like oil paints! You are right, it's sooo important to start with good quality oil paint because trying to use cheap paints caused me a big headache!
Maybe you bought another serie or fake ones?I want to buy it too but now I am so suspecious🤔
Thank you so much for making great videos. Your print in the end looks so beautiful, did you have your painting professionally photographed or did you do it by yourself? And if you did it yourself, would you consider making a tutorial on how to get larger artwork ready to be printed.
Very good and most afordable brand for such good pigment. ❤I wish i would get free oil paint for testing😂❤
I know this is an old review, but if you still end up using these, I find that I just have to “oil out” certain colors more than others. I’ve noticed the same thing with other brands with certain colors (like cadmium red light from M Graham). Once I oil then out once or twice though, they retain the original high chroma long-term without varnishing! Hope this helps anyone out there that’s thinking of using them! 😁
Thanks for sharing my dear :)) do you have a best working more local / German suggestions? I had Daler Rowney so far and actually never used any others over the years... 🤔🤔
Dalers are the worst
I love how you put together your reference photo. That's an amazingly good idea and such a simple one, too!
Thank you for all of the sharing you do. I can't begin to express how inspired you make me. I don't paint a lot, but I love watercolor and I am a doll maker. Watching your videos and listening to your advice has really helped me get over some of my own personal doubts and fears that have stopped me from being able to focus on my work so I can make that leap to professional.
They are made with safflower oil so it drys twice as fast and also drys to a semi mat finish its the property of the safflower oil that creates the finish ,you can add a gloss medium to it, hope that helps
I love the masterclass oilpaints😍❤️ and of course your paintings😊
I love ur work keep it up
Beautiful Chiaroscuro and high contrast! one of my favorite paintings from you. ❤️
I use Ladoga and Sonnet oil paint, their student grade paint, and their pretty good actually specially the texture. I think their student grade paint is very close to their artist grade.
Edit: I think the "downsides" you mention is not a downside for others. Because as you said you use other popular brands like Rembrandt, your just accustomed to their oil paints.
Your a good artist, and great work!
Subscribed.
Can you explain how the Ladoga and Sonnet brands "good"?
I kept wondering what you were doing with that stick... But looks like you're using it to keep your hand steady! That's a wonderful idea!!! I always get mad because my hand will bump or shake and I'll get the paint somewhere I didn't want it... So this is a wonderful idea for me too!! Thank you!!!!
Great work!! Thanks for the review. I love all your videos and voice covers. You have a calm soothing voice. And your painting skills are so high. I hope to be that good one day, but either way, I will always watch your stuff.
I like this very much...colors seemed smooth clear and very vibrant
The painting is really detailed, she is very gorgeous😐🤗🤗🤗😀😀💖💖💖💖💛💙💜💝💙💚💛

I have watched a lot of your videos now and love your work it’s really beautiful and pleasant on the eye..sometimes it can be quite emotional it’s that beautiful..this is the first oil I have seen of yours..Wow it’s amazing ..I tried oils a few times and could not get on with them..but you definitely Rock them..The face is even more realistic than your watercolours ..looks like I have to watch your oil painting videos now lol 😀
Thank you so much, Christine! :)
Waw bella tecnica ,bravissima !;
Che brutto quadro.
that painting turned out really well! I want to try these paints out.
I'm intrigued by this paint but Ultramarine thats semi opaque, viridian thats opaque, something very wrong there. The cadmiums might be good though.
I bought a set of Gamblin paints this month. I’m shocked at how bright and strong the smell is! Very interesting video...
Thank you! Wonderful art.
Would you recommend its student grade oil paints LADOGA and SONNET?
Your very talented, the Venus fly traps are cool too😀😀😀😀💚💚💚💚💚
Wow, amazing! What did you use to get your paints thin enough to make such detailed lines with??
I would not be so sure. In Russia, many people know that the Neva palette is engaged in deceiving and mixing cheaper pigments into more expensive ones without indicating this on the tube.
You do not varnish your paintings -you'll have a lot of fun with your paintings in let's say 10 years - linseed oil will keep on drying, at a point it gets yellow, then your colors are going to get really dull - so you need to varnish, you stop the linseed oil from reacting with the oxygen - you should know this.
It’s not masterclass it’s nevskaya palitra masterclass
You must varnish oil paintings at the end...
How do u do it! 😍🙃😆❤️
Awesome.

Great work!!
Nice!
Such a lovely piece!
Thank you, Olivia! :D
Are those "Master Class" oils colors safe, non toxic ?
Any paints are toxic if they contain Cadmium, Cobalt, Or lead.
Would you recommend these as a budget option instead of Winton, Maimeri Classico or Schmincke Norma?
Yes! They are at the same level as Schnick Norma, the other ones you mentioned I don' know! :)
@@LiobaBrueckner Thank you!
Winton and Classico are student grade so for sure Master Class are superior…
