The NHSA, shouldn't allow these Automobile Companies to make cars without Dip sticks, this is very Dangerous. Imagine driving your car and you cannot check your Fluid manually which is the safest way to check oils and your car can stop because you cannot Add or Check the Oils manually this idea is a fatal accident waiting to happen or have happened because car owners cannot Check their Fluids manually .

It does tell you when it's a quart low. You can also buy aftermarket dipsticks.

This video is another example of the wonderful help you give. Thank you, because after resetting the way you explained my 2012 Q5 reads the oil level correctly! (It was about 1/3 quart too low.)

Hey Naptown do you think you could do a comprehensive guide on 2.0 TFSI maintenance? It seems you got all the info spread out over a hundred videos, but it would be nice to have it all down in one long form video. Especially all the plastic crap that's bound to fall apart or get brittle.

I never depend on this. I purchased a dip stick had trouble with it always saying kindly drain s little oil. When in fact the dip stick showed the oil level was spot on.

Same thing happened to my 2011 Touareg. First the latch rusted, broke the cable and next time the car ran low on oil the electrical connection failed. The micro switch “is” available separately but not stocked in North America, would have had to special order from Europe. Cost difference between latch with harness/micro switch and the harness/micro switch by itself was about $40usd, irrc.

Question: did your display show an “open hood” despite the malfunctioning hood switch? (Hard to see in the video). I have always believed that in case an open hood is shown correctly in the display, the hood switch is in good working order. Thanks a lot, I love your videos!

No, it didn't. And as the switch (sensor) is normally closed (NC) it didn't resolve on unplugging it in a "stuck closed" position. For those without an additional Lock, just short the wire on the car-side with e.g. a paperclip. It worked for me - Oil levels normal afterwards. It's specially ugly when your Oil gauge is stuck on the low-warning and beeps every time you turn the car on.

Hey I know this video doesn't pertain to my question. But if I have a 2.0tfsi cpmb audi engine head that needs replacement, can I use a Caeb, cdnc, or cpma to replace it or does it have to be the same exact head for everything to work?

Hey! i wonder if these fault messages because sensors not resetting after oil change is major problem why these turbo engines fail? i mean people just add 1 liter oil....?? i fixed hood sensor with pliers and cleaning it with CRC product cost no money.

Why my 2010 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro premium plus fans turn on 100% speed when I go turn my cold engine on in the winter then when I shut the car off you hear a Lil click like a relay sound click then fan slow down & even with me locking the car they stay on for like 3 to 5 mins. Please help naptown or subscribers 🙏

No malfunction here but my Audi when I open the hood won't show me oil level unless ignition is on for about an hour (driving or sitting in the driveway with ignition on). I'm surprised that yours showed up so quickly. When I change oil I just plug in my OBDII scanner and check the oil in it to make sure I got it right where I want it.

my 2013 takes about 2-3 driving cycles for levels to show up after i’ve opened the hood so i was also confused to see him get it to come up so quickly

My son bought a 2010 A4 quattro ad I wasn't too happy with his decision to buy an Audi . My research resulted in mostly bad reviews for that year, but luckily we found your videos. You produce informative and easy to follow videos that have saved us a ton of money and time. I really appreciate you and your content.
I know you're busy but I would like to know your thoughts on the latest issue my son is having. Gas station had diesel in the 91 octane gas and he drove 45 minutes to work and it was fine. When he left work it would start, run for 10 seconds and die. Audi dealer said engine needs replaced. Does diesel in gas destroy the engine?
    Thank you for your time.
