That means finding the fastest path with the most rings, enemies, and stylish moves (like swinging off those street sign things.) Also, you need to take a lot of shortcuts, such as jumping off the rail and onto a further part of the rail in the hockey stadium. There's that, and you need to move extremely fast. Some waiting sections you don't have to wait for, you can just bounce up on.
i remember when sonic speed simulator first came out it was small and fun and i eventually stoped playing when they added hilltop zone and i got back online recently and any resemblance to the original was gone green hill is looking more like microtransaction hill

Probably already said but Classic Sonic simulator’s physics are based of a recreation of the retro engine used for most Sonic fan games and (Sonic origins I think)
I remember that super complicated way of getting hyper in ultimate RPG it was awesome tho. You should check out sonic showdown, one of my favorite “battlegrounds” games ever (although I do dislike how much fan exe/fnf stuff it uses)
I remember sonic speed simulator being actually pretty fun with its events early on, they first were treasure hunts, next they started actually getting somewhat exciting like with metal sonic you had to beat him in a race and it was really fun, I believe it was sadly removed later on.
I made a sonic game on roblox, it's called sonic golden 2 v3.0.26 (it's somewhat incomplete, with not all levels being implemented yet, sonic sometimes loses all his animations at times, the homing attack needs fixing, and there aren't yet any of the unlockable levels yet!
I wanna mention that sonic tech demo 2 has the most advanced framework up to date due to it’s fix camera during some sections which is very very impressive. There’s even some 2d part which u can actually see what’s in front of you when it tilt to the side like shadow generations so it’s my favourite game to visit

I also think it's worth mentioning that a majority of these games are built off of a pre-existing engine which went open source about a year ago: Digital Swirl (made by the guys behind Onset Adventure) so thanks to them that we have all these great games!
It made a s1 full zone called Mecha magma zone but it has the same treatment of having the boss fight in the second act... because the third act is you running for your life
I'd like to suggest for the sake of history and recognition, these games by some of my old friends: -"Roblox Rush!" by MetaRyan -"RRUA" (Roblox Rush Ultimate Adventure 1 & 2) by NewChoosen1 Even though they are abandoned/outdated (RR is still playable but you have to do shortcuts), they were the first completed linear Sonic-inspired games on the platform back in the early to mid 2010's, both had original levels and stories, even inspiring smaller projects like "ROBLOX Lost Worlds" by ElishaHall
Tbh I do like sonic speed sim its just I get tired of the repeated "defeat 400 badniks" or "Time trails" "5000 chaos" things. Stuff like that. I also esspecially hate how they reset all of our data's when they updated the new portals and I came back for the halloween update this year (It was actually not that bad. I spent time grinding on there for hours vibing to music) and I look and see vampire sonic but it was on the MAIN STORY QUEST. So I had to sit there and complete all the worlds again. Like if anything I was already at hilltop zone but no I had to redo them again just because they didn't keep our data. Maybe it was just me but idk.Oh Also it would be dope if someone just made a winter sonic game. Like based off the levels from sonic 4 episode 2 winter park zones.

I went back after the 2.0 update and found out they erased all my level progress and just gave me rings and exp in return which only got me to level five. Really scummy behavior. Also i used to play sonic onset too!
Speaking of crazy names, I've run into a couple of wild names, first one being Sonic Execution, it was pretty janky if I'm gonna be real XD Second one is Sonic Radical Exposition, even crazier name somehow but is surprisingly fun
8:06 About the camera - Roblox comes with a follow camera mode in the settings, where the camera will rotate with you as you turn, you just need to go into the options to turn it on. If you're playing on controller it's basically mandatory to have it on, but on keyboard and mouse the freecam can often be more useful imo.
There's a level in classic Sonic sim blast base zone and its so good and i have the record time of 29.7 seconds (leader board forgot to update so it says im second) or maybe it was blast block zone but whatever is made by Elliot_Rblx also that's act 1
You can enjoy it, it is good for distracting yourself real quick But the game is objectively bad as it is too grindy and the only actual playing content are some stages with some main path in which you barely have to do anything while crossing it (except for maybe City Escape and Metal City), some lame boss fights and janky time trials The action races are nice tho but nobody plays them
