🍴 Ingredients for Biryani 🍴
Onions - Bawang (750g)
Ghee (1 and 1/2 cup)
Ginger - Halia (50g)
Garlic cloves - Ulas bawang putih (x12)
Hot chillies - Cili padi (x4)
Tomatoes (1kg)
Salt in total - Garam secara keseluruhan (3 and 1/2 tsp) (without including in the chicken)
*Cook until tomaotes soften - masak hingga tomato lembut
Chilli powder - Serbuk cili (1 tbsp)
Water in total - Air secara keseluruhan (2 cups)
🍗Fried chicken🍗
1 whole chicken (1kg) - Ayam (1kg)
1 tbsp of turmeric powder - 1 s/b serbuk kunyit
1/2 tsp of salt - 1/2 s/t garam
Plate #1
Bay leaves - Daun salam (x2)
Dried plums - plum kering (x14)
Mace - Buah pala (2 pcs)
Coriander powder - Serbuk biji ketumbar (1 tsp)
Cumin seed powder - Serbuk jintan (1/2 tsp)
Special Bombay Biryani Seasoning Mix (1 and 1/2 packets)
Plate #2
Bay leaves - Daun salam (x2)
Cardamom - Buah pelaga (x11)
Cloves - Bunga cengkih (x5)
Cinnamon stick - Kayu manis (x1)
Water - Air (5-6 liters)
Rice - Nasi (1kg)
Vinegar - Cuka (3 tbsp)
Oil - Minyak (1/4 cup)
Potato to protect the bottom layer of pan - Ubi sebagai lapisan perlindungan kuali
Yellow food coloring (1/2 tsp)

Tomato (x1)

Green chilli - Cili hijau (x2)
Mint - Pudina (2 tbsp)
Coriander - Ketumbar (1/4 cup)
Cucumber - Timun (x1)
Yogurt (3 cups)
Salt - Garam(1/2 tsp)
Cumin seed - Serbuk jintan (1 tsp)
Chilli powder - Serbuk cili (1/2 tsp)

Hi.....I am from Hyderabad, India. This is a wonderfully well made video, with clear instructions. Will surely use this method to cook a veg biryani as I am a vegetarian. I am a foodie and cooking is my hobby. We are so similar in terms of our cuisine, culture, attire etc but so distant away politically. Hope we all raise above these barriers through these mediums.

Biryani is a meat and rice dish. Calling vegetable rice as Biryani is an insult to Biryani 🙆🏻♀
Authentic Biryani doesn't have vegetables. I can't even imagine someone calling sabzi chawal as biryani OMG 😧

I am actually from Pakistan. This is the actual way to make biryani. I saw a lot of Malaysian people cook biryani but the wrong way . This is the actual way to make a biryani. I really liked this. Keep it up. I really appreciate it.

Different country Different way. Most of Malaysia style don't like put Chicken or beef together with rice & we use coconut milk or liquid milk not yogurts.

Beryani is originally from Iran. They cook biryani is not same like Pakistan & india do. So, can we take biryani name from pakistan & india for this dish ?
@@zulmie6096 agreed..you must be positive..bryani was brought to Indian continent hundred of years ago..definitely it will be localised based on the native taste..but you should be proud they maintain the name bryani even in countries like Malaysia and Brunei..we maintain the name Bryani..but you cannot expect us to cook bryani the Persian way unless you are willing to come to our country and teach us.
The Chef deserves a Gold Medal for best biryani even it's looks are amazing. Now imagine the taste 👍

Salam i am from the Philippines, i worked with Pakistan families 10yrs ago and still i used my madam recipe in my co Filipinos and they like they always asked to cook specially the Dal beans 😍 we ate with my homemade chappati (atta) which i learn also to ky madam
