For this to be a useful video it should show downtown and surrounds, not cars driving down a road. It would also be helpful if the creator had spent 30 minutes gathering approximate home prices. If a "lovely peaceful town" has average homes selling for $900,000, it probably is not of interest to the average UA-camr.
Many of these towns are lovely - but very pricey.

How can you leave out Canandaigua New York
You confused Rhinebeck with Kingston.
The photos of "Rhinebeck" were actually of Kingston, including very prominently displayed "Kingston High School"! Also, the photos of "Woodstock" don't show any of the picturesque town itself, just mountain scenery.

The famous Woodstock Festival actually took place in the town of Bethel, 40 miles south of Woodstock. It was originally supposed to take place in the town that bares its name, but the locals rejected it.
As someone whose family has lived in Canandaigua ("The Chosen Spot") for 200 years, I fervently hope outsiders will NOT "discover" the area. The best thing about western NY is how far it is from any destructive giant metropolitan area--the kind that destroyed Vermont and the Adirondacks. And Batavia? Are you kidding?! There are half a dozen places near Batavia far more scenic, historical, and generally interesting. But don't tell anyone.
I was born in Beacon 75 years ago. It wasn't "trendy" then. The natural beauty was the real deal. Now that NYC has moved in, taxes are sky high and it's crowded with people trying to be socially and politically correct. It's interesting how people tend to bring with them the very baggage they name as reasons to move from one place to another.
It's the greedy polititians raising taxes and everything on people this polititians are so bad and evil that most older people who are retired and have their homes pay off can't even afford to live in their homes because in some towns they have very high property taxes some of them have to get government assistance to not loose their homes it's like they and the banks do it on purpose to take people's homes and nobody complains or protest about that it just evil what their doing to older people.
Apparently, this person didn’t leave New York City, or at least did not go very far from it everything she talked about was on the Hudson river. Anything that was north or west we barely seen any pictures of or we seen pictures of the wrong places in New York City folks eyes we don’t exist.
The footage supposedly shot in Aurora is not of Aurora. I don't know what town that is, but it's definitely not Aurora.
It's East Aurora .... the camera flies over the Bar Bill - famous for chicken wings.
And in Aurora, where is a view of beautiful Cayuga Lake that the village sits next to? And I guess most of the nice places to live are in the Hudson River Valley? Really? This video is a letdown for most of us who have a lot to like about New York, the state. A more accurate, concise accounting of our great state would have been appreciated. Peace!

What was shown as Aurora wasn't, if you can't see the lake you probably aren't in Aurora. here are tons of amazing places in New York outside of the Hudson Valley, Finger Lakes and Thousand Islands, let alone places on Lakes Ontario and Erie.
The Hudson Valley is beautiful, but there is a lot more to New York State than one would think based only on this video. The only two places in the western half of the state that were mentioned were Aurora and Batavia. Having lived in central and western New York for 30 years, I can think of much better choices, for example Ithaca, Geneva, Corning, Fairport, Canandaigua, Naples, Orchard Park, or East Aurora (which is about 100 miles west of Aurora) to name a few.

With the exception of Batavia, bring money; they ain't cheap.

All towns and cities in upstate NY are quaint because most if not all industry has been driven out. For example, IBM, GE, Kodak, Xerox and many others, taxed out of the state or out of existence. Unless it has to do with Government, or Utilities, there are very few large employers.
Small towns are great. Most all rural areas are Republican run. Upstate cities have the same problems as any Democrat run cities. High crime, drugs, and gangs.

I'm happy to see that Cooperstown was not forgotten. Good thing I have pictures. I wouldn't want to move to a democrat state, even though most of the state always votes republican. Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, + dem NYC have destroyed the rest of that once beautiful state.

This is the most error filled video on the internet. The videos are clearly showing the city of Kingston while narrating about Rhinebeck, a nice little village across the Hudson River.
Where you were showing Cold spring New York pictures that's Kingston New York or rhineback or whatever. You weren't showing the right City and you haven't mentioned Cold spring rind back. Also, Cooperstown and Aurora sit directly on the shores of substantial, beautiful lkes, but no aerial shots included even a glimpse of them. I'm from Cattaraugus County. So much of New York State is absolutely beautiful. Hills and forests for miles and then the wonderful small towns.
