I got excellent reception, but I accidentally installed the batteries backwards on the coat hanger, and all the TV shows played in reverse. I just flipped my TV screen upside down and that corrected the problem .

Strangely, I found by plugging a TV antenna into the back of the TV I get better reception.

I connected one end of the coaxial cable on to the TV, and other end one wire tied on to my nose and other wire to my feet toe. I could watch all channels bro.. 😂

It won't do anything beyond a piece of coax screwed in to the antenna spot. The batteries don't make a complete circuit and are not connected to the hanger. Their outer casing is preventing a connection, current.

This is the same guy that connected a SIM Card to his TV to allow him to unlock channels!! His is a Genius insofar as he made us watch a pointless video, thus earning him Ad Revenue.
BTW - there was no current flowing from batteries. The negative end of the left battery was unconnected, and the positive end of the right hand battery was connected to the coat hanger, but the coat hanger was only hanging up in the air. So basically he used a coathanger as a TV aerial.

If you plug in a wire you'll get similar results
Should he say what kind of TV, what frequency band and what encoding (DVB-T or cable or what?)... that crap should be blocked.
If you reverse be polarity on the batteries then the colors will be inverted. Also, instead of receiving these broadcast signals, you will now be transmitting your living room to other people so they can see you.
This antenna system works so well, I started up my own tv/data service in my hometown. I'm worth over 24 million dollars now do to this miracle system.

I had trouble getting this to work at first, and then I took one of the alligator clips, and just stuck it on my tongue, and it works perfectly!
If you stick those alligator clips on your niples, your can even feel all TV-channels.
Try the clip on your nip. You'll be surprised.
That is surprising, because in order for this to work, I believe the original plan specified you must clip an actual alligator.

The batteries function as a way of capacitively-coupling the differential signal to the hanger wire itself. You'd think though that the spacing between the batteries would affect the 'tuning' of the overall antenna, and that them being so close would would be disruptive. Perhaps the dielectric constant of the battery material slows down the conduction of electricity to reduce the wavelength along those sections of the hanger wire.
Isnt it irritating when you see how well very little effort can pay off? Especially after being fruitless after putting forth maximum effort...

@@PapaTknows It works exactly the same, because of the homeopathic principle. Diluting something makes it work like a placebo.
Put a little soldering flux on the area where to be soldered and solder will flow easier. Soldering 101. Also soldering flux on stranded wire before solder is applied. Either paste or liquid will do. Prevents solder beads you are seeing.
You have to avoid using soldering flux so you'll have a cold joint. The connection is made with micro-aliens holding hands. That's the only way this system will work.
Apparently that funny looking wire thingy can actually be used to hang up your clothes!! And it works!!

I didn’t have batteries or a wire hanger, so … I looked around and found a couple of metal barbecue skewers. Then I located some large stay puffed Marsh-mellows. I proceeded to place them on the skewers. Heated them over a campfire in the middle of nowhere and placed the burnt Marsh-mellows on some bits of Hershey’s Bar and placed that on some Graham Crackers. Then I dropped two tabs of acid ate my S’mores and watched the Milky-Way. Seemed to be super-psychedelic! Like nearly Wonka-Vision by my guesstimate! At least 256K resolution! I use a very small alien holding the antenna in one hand. Standing on one foot pointed north. Wearing a tinfoil hat. Takes the fuzz right out. if I want to watch ESPN, he has to put a bent paper clip in the light socket while signing the star spangled banner in polish!

I’ve always wondered if the ‘cd’s around cable technique actually works too…
Picture a cd laying flat and then hold another one 6 inches above that one with your hand. Now recreate that distance between them with ‘stuff’ and thread aerial through middle of cd’s and that is meant to hop the signal..

The reason your solder didn't run properly is because you didn't use flux.

How is the remote control keyed into the antenna network?
It’s not , the remote is only for the tv. The channels come though the antenna to the tv.
I only had one battery, so I substituted the other battery with a half eaten hot dog I found in the trash... less soldering involved and I still managed to receive CNN like this guy did.

A metal coat hanger connected to a coax cable is all you need. I'm not sure what the purpose of the batteries are for.
They serve no function.
If you strip 6 inches of insulation from the coax and bend the shield one way and the center conductor the other way, you have a simple dipole antenna that works just fine. No clothes hanger or batteries involved.

We did this in the 90s, only we used a pencil. A f*cking pencil.
Came up with it in applied technology. Since it was literally what the class was called, our teacher didn't have the heart to stop us, so we got to watch Jerry Springer during class
