She’s a beaut. Welcome to the club. Owner of a suped up 80 Bronco Ranger XLT. Replaced everything on it so far from interior carpet, to driveline, to new paint. Just need new headliner and windshield and it’s brand new (except about 375hp now)
100% original paint scheme, paint is most likely original too. Need to get the $80 Marti Report and see how it breaks down and how rare it is, my 78 turned out to be one of one. Most likely that pinstripe was applied aftermarket, Ford didn’t offer anything like that. One possibility is the dealer added them to freshen it up That air cleaner is Uber rare
I got it! It came out to be one of one as well. Love that Ford has this data! Mine gets down to one of two built with these options, the big rare option is the digital AM Radio which was $134 (or over $600 in today’s money). Of the two built like mine, they differ in the tires, with mine being the Firestone White Walls. It’s crazy how well maintained the original owner kept it. I agree that it was “refreshed” with the clear coat and the white accents at some point. What color and options are on yours?

I picked up a 79 bronco from Washington state about two years before the current bronco was released. All original also with about a 6 inch of rust on the bottom of the tailgate. My paint isn’t shiny but and looks similar. My guess there’s a clear over the original on yours. You found a really nice truck!
I had one of these for my first car/truck at 16 years old. I wish I had never sold it. My Grandfather ordered one from Ford here in Jacksonville, FL and gave it to me when I was 16. Wish I had it back. Nice truck man. Don't sell it!
Nice , I am torn between getting a bronco or quad cab , Canada is bad for rust but might get lucky in BC . The hood brown looks different in the beginning Could be video though
WHAT? You had a 1973 F-100 Ranger XLT growing up?? Me too 390 auto 2wd. The adventures and memories that truck made possible and unforgettable is so top secret/classified info that the truth about Kennedy's assassination will be released before that trucks stories.
Did you watch the video? I stated that the pinstripes were put on by original owner, showed where they were worn and protected the original paint underneath. Also stated that the original Cinnamon Glow was cleared on the outside. Also stated that they added the white bars on the rear quarters. The paint is all original as applied by the factory, with the clear and the “Day 2 Stripes”. Also has a period correct alarm. All discussed in the video.
Totally original and factory accurate. You could order the dark color on the insert and hood or the other way around. With the dark color you could get the top b pillar in that dark color which is reminiscent of the 55-56 Crown Victoria.

Thanks! It’s crazy how some of these can survive 45 years so well!
Very nice clean bronco I love broncos hard to find a good one at a decent price
Thanks! Getting an original one was key for me. It’s not perfect like a restored one, but it’s rust free and honest!

What is the key slot beside the Bronco badge on the side? I have never seen that before.

An aftermarket alarm it looks like. Wire was disconnected.

Those pin stripes are NOT factory. Neither is the paint. Back in '78, the paint was NOT clear-coated.

What size are the tires?
They are 33s. The previous owner had just put on the new K02s.
Thank you. Great looking bronco!
Are you interested in selling?
Sorry, I’m planning on keeping it long term. My son and daughter love it!

Ford 400 engines were gutless gas hogs. I converted several to early 460 engines. Better fuel mileage and gobs more power.
