As much as I enjoy ragging on the misfortunes and questionable decision making of ford owners, this is one rig I’d be damn proud of. Awesome build.

They weren’t exactly easy to find, from what I remember he bought them off market place in the US and had them shipped up to Canada 🇨🇦, but the look totally fits the truck!

Wow nicely built 78/79 bronco. I love the suspension design. I thought about doing something like that in the rear on mine back in the 90s. But back then coil overs weren't around like they are today. Not a fan of 351m motors but a well built 400 is worlds better. The M's just don't have enough cubes to build for good.power and torque. Or to take advantage of some good Cleveland heads. 400s do though.
Thanks for the comment, yea the 351m definitely isn’t a power house but it runs pretty descent. Ian’s got a pile of parts saved out for what should be a strong 400
The 351 converted into a 387 stroker is a beast and cheap if you use other ford parts for it

This is my dream truck ive had 3 but not a 78 or 79. This would be really close to the way i would build it too.
Just the stock Bronco 4B4 Was a good truck.

Trans is probably an NP435, rather than a T18. Very cool Bronco.
It had a np435 in it that died an unfortunate death 😬, that ended up getting replaced by a early 80’s t18

How do you get the engine out with that shock tower?
The whole shock tower is bolted to the sides of the frame
How much does your average long travel kit cost for something like this
This one is all custom made by Ian but there’s a few companies that make kits for those trucks
Great Snow/Mud Machine and possibly rock crawling but why is it called War Machine? No weapons, no war, just awesome machine for a specific purpose.

Ians been collecting some parts to build a stout 400m...... probably go over that in the near future
@@xplorervideos Would be cool to see, built a 446 for my f250 with a tmyer stroker and trickflow heads, things an animal. been considering doing another for my trail rig f150.
@@streetsharkmotorworks8902 if he had a unlimited budget it would probably get a Godzilla, but the 400 should be sweet when its done.
And people just don't realize how bad mud tires actually suck in snow
