I myself own a 78 I’ve had as a project for the last few years and it’s a wicked truck, love the body style it’s a shame they ditched it for the goofy 3rd gens
Very cool drive along! This is the first I've heard of the Marti Report. What a cool resource for those that need to figure out the providence of their vehicle.
Dang Blue Ridge Mts., You're in my neighborhood, beautiful truck, reminds me of riding in my dads 78 f-100 custom growing up in the late 80s. He bought it new for $2300
I have a 78 bronco ranger xlt and it’s a complete heap of shit compared to this. I put about 10k into it around 2016 and life stuff happened and I haven’t touched it since. I might actually just get after it now though seeing this beauty.
I’d say go with the 6.2 Raptor motor. Overall, you’ll get more speed out of a Coyote but the grunt and low end power of the 6.2 is just crazy in comparison. Can’t go wrong with either though.
@@TurningGuns No way. Why would I want that ? If I was going to consider a diesel then it would be a Mercedes diesel, not a tractor rattler. But a Bronco with a diesel is NOT my thing.
Retired ford tech here, my folks bought a 79 bronco with factory 8 track 351m gas eating brand new red with red interior and today it is still near immaculate with it's 3d owner as my dad sold it in 1985 and bought a 1985 bronco. I had and destroyed 2 second gens when i was in high school one was a factory manual trans. What these are bringing all torn apart i need to go back and woop my own ass for destroying those broncos. I'm an ls'ed to death i hate gm garbage working in ford dealers i replaced more engine and transmissions in gm garbage and all the low iq gm people act the same you put a chevy emblem on a pile on dog sh1t and dumb asses will buy it. But that garbage has made me tons of money. I never seen that color combo in a bronco, saw a few free wheelin packaged bronc's. I do have a 1979 indy pace truck all apart going to do the crown vic rack front, i'd like to do the coyote but have a 30,000 mile wrecked 32 valve 5.4 navigator donor.
I have three of those 78 abd 79 broncos love them .I camped in mine a year in alaska .it was like a giant 4 wheeler best 4x4 ever .
Love these old Ford my dream.
78-79 second Gen Broncos are in fact the coolest and best SUV ever made , I sign right underneath that statement
👍
Nice rigs👍
The best comment I have ever read, 💯
Even if it didn’t have the Coyote motor in it it still would be a beautiful truck. Having the Coyote in it takes over the top. It sounds awesome
1 of 11. I new it was rare, but not that rare! Great find! Makes me giddy with excitement!!!!
I was 3 when this Bronco was built these up to 96 are the ones to get!!!👍👍
Awesome job! Best looking old school Bronco out there! Love the RetroSpec Cluster! Didn't know the second Gen lasted only 2 years.

Sickening. My Original 78 will still be running when all that electrical shit goes haywire - Trends are not built to last
the exhaust sounds incredible!!
Great Bronco! Man now I want a coyote swap 😂

Im so jelly
Does your factory cruise control work with this set up?
What did you have to do to match engine and transmission and 4 x 4
Actually in Jackson MI there is one with that exact same color combo. For sale. NEEDS A LOT OF WORK
How much would a project like this cost through your shop?
I am still wondering if I should go with the coyote or the 6.2 that they put in Raptors. I will be using a 6spd auto. Nice build.

If I went with a modern engine other than the Coyote, it would be the 7.3 Godzilla. They fit perfect in the 78/79.
O volante é o mesmo do Ford Corcel
What muffler do you have on that? Just curious
Similar to stock.
what exhaust do you have if you don't mind?
Stock. Not sure what brand.
Come ye Black and tans
For sale/selling?
Miles per gallon???
Also curious.

With that motor, its not original!!! Ugh
Bad news, not original anymore
