Thank you for letting me know about his passing. I shouldn't be surprised that, even though so many of my friends are into "classical music" and most of the groups I have on Facebook, none of them mentioned this.
RIP Peter. While I love this, I worry that future generations will not appreciate the gender issues. Shouldn't be an issue, I agree. The characters expected different than they got. It's okay. "I assumed she was a man, she talked that way."
With the passing of Professor Schickele yesterday, I had to track this down and start my day with a smile. He will be missed.
I heard this live in 1979. My gut still hurts from laughing. The live performance included a crabby stage manager.

Utterly and completely unique !!!
RIP Professor Schickele 😢
I'm all smiles. I haven't heard this in decades. I've been hoping someone would post this sooner or later. Thanks so much!!!
Thank you for posting this and thank you Peter, again and again. SO missed already
I'm so happy right now.
I think I have a copy on vinyl up in my roof. Great hearing this musical anarchy again!😂

Lola, she looked like a woman but talked like a man.
Lola... she walks like a woman but she talks like a man.
