Love this show we need more from Australia 🇦🇺
300,000km is absolutely nothing for one of those! Did one at work the other day 2.4 diesel 654,000km of dirt roads and still going strong you cant kill these old things 😅
If it's a 1k, no. They rattle from lack of valve adjustments.
It's only just qualified for its first service guys. This is T country. Bushyboy Oz.
Your absolutely right a few years ago Jeremy Clarkson On Top Gear Tried to kill a Toyota Hilux other than the body and the Chasis the engine and gearbox worked perfectly.
@ianvallender7892 i saw all 3 parts of that ive watched it time and time again just goes to show that things where built to last back in the day try doing that with any modern car im sorry toyota freaks but even a modern toyota youll find absolutely nothing left of it in the rubble of an old tower block (spoiler alert to up and coming top gear fans)
@@ewengillies9826 good one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s low K’s for Australia. Ex PoM and now living is Australia.
My Lux LN106 did 600k k’s and loads left.
Great work horses.
$11k, fair buy.
cheap the more in japan
I can’t wait to see all the Aussie episodes
"Such high milage"...no, not for a Hilux. My last one got up to 540,000km with nothing ever done on the actual engine. The one I have now, I bought at 340,000km and I didn't even think twice about that. Toyota engines don't wear out, which is why I've had nothing but Hiluxes for the last 30 years. And yes, the leaf spring bushings are a routine replacement around that mileage.
I had a serious 61 cruiser with a 2H had over 700 when I sold it
Was expecting a 70 series to be featured in this series, but a classic Hilux is still as awesome!
Mate of mine has pretty much exactly the same thing sitting in his yard.
Adding all that weight won't be helping with performance and a diff lock might have been useful for off road stuff.
It’s Australia just run in.
300k kms is a round trip to the shops. Still got a few more left in it don't worry
Just remember all you Aussie Hilux and off-roading experts this is a TV show meant for the whole world so exaggeration and over excitement is the name of the game.
You don't say?
Boys still waiting for the Ford XR8 V Holden race you promised on your XR8 video come on?.
They wont show it until the actual release of it on TV sadly...
its been on uk tv on Discovery
@peterlee6745 Oh OK 👍
Hi, new to subscribing, how do we see the rest of each story? Cheers.
KINGS.... Devalued by 50% right there....
Oh what a feeling
Unfortunately no Hilux in the US (except for crazy special order money). It would be interesting to do a Hilux/Tacoma comparison
3L diesel engines will go forever as long as they have been serviced properly
It's weird seeing people think 300k is allot. It's pretty common in Aus.
Love This Seen it on UK TV World Tour Mike an Elvis Great together Love Aussie V8s Had a VE Holden. 6.2 But UK call it a Vauxhall VXR8
Interesting to see off-road capabilities
300 thousand K's? It's just run in. Those little dings? They'll buff right out. Wheels? Sunraysia steels; tough as nails.
My 96 Hilux Surf has 292k kms, she's just getting broken in.
Truck looked great with black sprayed wheels shame it wasn’t the straight front axle model tho…………I watched the full episode on tv
Car has a reg plate that reads CPR and Elvis gave it a snorkel
Talk about doing the brush bars the hard way 😅
You cut the end off at the bullbar = no welding 😂
Huh?
Super durability
11K for a 300000 ute. Well done to the bushy.
Gee's Mike close the feed bag there is only so much room behind the steering wheel 😅😅😅😅😅
Yep he's a big boy.😎😎
Sack of shite
Old wheels from a Suzuki Caribbean?
What did they spend and how much did they sell it for?
Are these youtube only, will I see them on bbctv on foxel?
Bush bar, snorkel, spring bushes and driving lights and more aggressive tyres=poser mobile, not extreme 4x4.
lol, driving up flogged and rutted hill sides with ya mates giggling and fartin is what posers do , close to stock with the bare minimum "bolt-ons" is a work car.
Very neat , leave it original . Don't need to customize everything. Other countries love and enjoy their cars like family and pass it to whom they love.
300K on the clock is pretty much scary for someone but not Elvis surely he can do better with his F1 mechanic mind
Those are break-in miles. No worries.
Not in Australia, pretty much par for the course on older stuff like Hilux, Falcons, Commodores, Camrys etc. Most cars don't rust here so it makes sense to keep them running as older mechanical parts are cheap and easy to fit for such vehicles.
300,000km’s is nothing, my hilux has 400, and is still in mint condition
Only car whistlin diesel respects
Jeez ya got flogged on parts prices
300k it's only just been run in!
302k km. She’s nearly run in.
That’s Australia. My 2014 discovery 4 has 335,000kms
Don't be suckered into these short Wheeler Dealer clips. They show less than half the story.
Prima da minha 1993.. hehe
Lol Kings
That was a good buy, 300,000 is nothing.
300 thousand ks in australia is considered low for a diesel 4x4
300,000 klm - just getting run in.
300 000km. Just run in.
Paid double $$ of what it's actually worth. You guys are crazy
Jesus..... After 300K the Hilux deserves a full set of poly bushes in the undercarraige.
300000 kilometres is nothing for a Toyota Hilux this the generation 6 for the Toyota Hilux and is the Australian version because of the quarter windows (lights) and l myself own a generation 5 Toyota Hilux just the rear wheel drive single cab with the aluminium tray and my Hilux has done 437000 kilometres and it's running don't be scared by 300000 400000 500000 kilometres on any Toyota infact l have seen a generation 5 Toyota Hilux sell that had done 980000 kilometres and the seller had no trouble selling it for aud $500 and it was running and registered l don't know why 300000 kilometres that is nothing for a Toyota it maybe a lot for British and European built vehicles
I loved Ant, Ed and love Elvis - Mike no offense, you are great, but you are not why I watch....
They never show Mike stuffing his face with sticky buns
laughing at replacing rubber with poly and then saying its going to make the ride better, nope poly is harder then rubber, and makes the ride rougher, might be better performance but a rough ride,
300,000km it’s not even run in
Where are you buying Rocksliders, Spotties and Brush bar for $600?????
China
Mike needs to lay off pasties
these snippets are only getting your US fans more alienated.
I’m a US fan and I find it very interesting. Broaden your horizons Bud
care factor = zero
@@davidmartin7589 You one of the people they are playing to, you only see part of the process, a short, not a fan. Have watched the show since the beginning, through good and bad, including bad decisions, this is one of them
@@MichaelOsseweyeijer just like your comment
WHATS WITH THESE SHORT CLIPS??? HOW ABOUT SHOWING THE WHOLE THING, WASTE OF TIME, JUST WHEN YOUR ENJOYING IT, NADA, 😡😡
they are nick named a rollux for a reason fellas. be aware.
40 yr old aussie mechanic, never heard a hilux called a rollux
