U should've made a full video on how u installed it ..looks awesome 👌.. im not that good with these stuff but once I see it once then I'm ok😅basically can follow instructions
I installed the S9 in my 2015 this week and lost the right front speakers. I thought I broke the wiring harness plug or something, but it turns out you have to keep the telematics OEM unit attached because that utilizes that speaker for audio in emergencies or something like that. Just reattached and it works perfectly
Check your panel on your far right. Does it have a gap at the screen? I think I see it. You have to pull the adjacent panel up (the Zohong actually is lower by like .5mm or so on the lower right corner (design flaw). Do not force the adjacent panel down to make it flush. Then your right panel/trim will fit nicely.
Thanks for the video! I’m having a hard time figuring out what plugs from the stock radio will be used to plug into the harness and what will be omitted? Do I simply just plug in what fits into the supplied harness and there will be some extra cords just chillin in the back not in use? Thanks!
I have not bought mine but doing research to find out about this issue before buying. In the old system, I think one needs to figure out which is power cable, front speakers, rear speakers, radio antenna and subwoofer should it be fitted (not all CTs have one) Do a failure test to find out which is what. But now to connect to the new system is where I am struggling as well as I am sure the connect ports would be different. So how do I rewire with molex glands (male or female).
Hi Jon. Is the radio keeping the date and time settings when car is off? Is the sound quality comparable to oem radio? If a car has an oem subwoofer this andoid radio will use it also ?
I have never had any issue with the time. It keeps it perfectly. It does work with the factory amp and ten speaker system. I had to let them know I had it and they sent me a different harness but it plugged in and work like the original. Sound quality was good with the factory amp a little better than stock. When I changed the amp to aftermarket it sounded much better. It restored the bas line which is clipped with the factory eq settings.
Hello and thank you for the quick tutorial, can you tell me if you had the reverse camera on the rearview mirror? If so, did you need a special wiring/harness? Or does it just connect automatically and stops displaying in the rearview mirror once the head unit is connected? Or doesn't show the rearview camera at all? Also - does it feel sluggish on various apps? I'm especially interested if the carplay runs smooth. Thank you!
My camera is on the rear view mirror. If you want to hook up the radio to show the camera you will need a harness or tap into the wiring behind the driver side tweeter. It will still show in the mirror if you leave it as is, or both if you tap into it. Car play runs supper smooth no issues at all. I am still using the radio everyday(and today) driving to and from work. Using CarPlay and Waze as my navigation.
Jon, thanks for your uploads! Am I correct that this product will not work for a 2012 CT with the pop-up display screen and navigation? Given you have no scroll pad in your car, I'm assuming there's no factory built-in display prior to this install. Appreciate your reply!
Yes, this will not work if you have the screen at the top. I have seen android radios where they replace the screen at the top and retain the function of the mouse. I have not used one though. Similar to this www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804867694228.html
Thank you for sharing. (1) Did the sound quality change in comparison to the radio system? Is it better or worse? (2.) Did you have to retrofit the cable connections to fit into the Zohong or did the manufacturer provide necessary cabling?
yes the sound is better, you have a better eq and time alignment. Mine was completely plug and play. just make sure they know what model you have 6 speaker vs 10 speaker.

Just ordered mine thanks to you!
Is the sound quality same as radio system or worse?
Great video. Are you using the microphone that comes with it? If so, where did you mount it?

Hi, my reverse camera is on the rearview. Can you do a video or explain if and how it can be connected to that stereo?
I’m having trouble figuring out what radio harness is needed. Do you have a link or part number for the radio adapter harness you used?
You should not need any extra harness the radio comes plug and play with all the wiring that is needed.
Just let them know if you have the standard or premium sound system with an amp and they can supply the correct harness
@@jonm8975 beautiful. I did tell them so that’s perfect!
@@jonm8975 got it all installed. Easiest install I’ve done and it didn’t even come with a manual. Thank you for the video!

Hi, where did you buy the round switch transfer?

@@jonm8975 sick, thank you. I think I'll go ahead with this head unit then, probably gonna splurge on the 8 core CPU.

How much did you buy it for? The T9 is going for $243 after the 40% discount. Wondering if im getting a real deal
I paid around 260 for the s9 which is a lower model.
Excellent, the factory system is absolutely rubbish.
can you play dvd's or youtube? also it is easy to install for anyone?
You can watch UA-cam. It’s plug and play but does not have a dvd player.
Sick shifter nob. Where did you get it at?
I bought it on amazon awhile ago, I just checked but it is no longer available.
