I just finished watching the series today and I was wrong to pre-judge it. The world building, characterisation, magic system, action and the multilayered deep plot really blew me away. I never imagined I would find myself captivated by the adventures of a sassy spider😂 Also, the human/re-incarnations subplot was even more interesting than I thought. I don't understand why so many people were bashing it. The way it led to multiple twists and revelations really kept me hooked. Now I want to buy and read the light novels because I need to know more of this story!
It is worth it to read the LN
Go for it!
its not that the human side is THAT bad. just in comparison. and the budget went (rightfully) into the spider side of things
The animation was really bad in many scenes including this one, this probably put off a lot of people. Also I think there were too many barely introduced and near indistinguishable characters to keep track of on the human side, unless you're really good at remembering names... combined with the flashbacks and time jumps half the time I was like "who is this character again?"
@@TrueForkdude the animation was terrible if done even remotely well it could’ve made it a star among most other shows. The fact this series was given to the studio who did Berserk is a tragedy for what potential it had

It turns out they didn't have enough time, and wound up having to cut corners on the last few episodes, deciding that a less than stellar product delivered more or less on time would be better for the studio than delaying the episodes for several more weeks or months to finish the work.
