🦋 It would be so amazing if the WHO would add these meds to the essentials list. This is so life changing for so many. These meds need to be shared and available for everyone who needs them. I’m so beyond grateful to have the opportunity to be in them. I don’t take that for granted. ❤
🦋🦋🦋I have to agree with what others have said. Yes, there is always a pros and cons list and you need to see what is more beneficial for yourself. I also agree with your statement Elizabeth. Those of us who know, we KNOW and are paying a lot of money for this medication and making the necessary lifestyle changes and it is not cheap nor easy. We pay this amount and make these changes becuase we have been on the other side and understand what we’ve been through. Obesity does not always equate that some one is lazy or being reckless with their choices. Very thankful for this medication. Thank you for great information.
This drug is a beautiful tool, and should be affordable to everyone. It’s a matter of life and death for some. Another great Vlog, thank you for your expertise. I walked 2 hrs and 30 min today, my legs are rubbery now. Drinking my quos of water, like always. Have a great day! 🦋
I’ve heard over and over from people who are supposed to be professional state that this medication is going to keep people from making healthy lifestyle choices. I wish they could understand that is so far from the truth. There might be some people out there that are trying to use this medicine as a way to still eat pizzaand lose weight, but I think the majority of people are taking the serious and doing all the things were told to do this medication just makes it possible for me. There is my rant for the day.🦋
Agree with you 100%. Sadly, I know friends and relatives that are on Zepbound that have used it completely as an appetite, suppressor and not made any changes to their diet. They continue to eat super unhealthy foods on a regular basis just less of it. So they are treating it just like a drug like phentermine, which was purely an appetite suppressant. It is the unfortunate reality of having accessibility to these medications.
🦋🦋🦋 Agree Elizabeth! A lot of emotional change through this journey! I would think that ALL insurances would consider coverage , as it will save them in the long run! Wearing my Oura ring today that my hubby got me for Christmas...so excited! 😁
I don’t think the WHO is saying our weight loss is a lazy way out… I think what they are actually saying is that doctors are uneducated or not taking time to advise on dietary changes, mental and emotional changes, and workout/strength training recommendations. We all know we are having to search out that info among our social networks or communities. In other words if doctors only prescribe… it could cause broad damage to the masses. More than prescriptions and symptoms need medical engagement.
I have read articles and such and sent them to my PCP. He thanked me that he isn't always allowed the time to do this. (retired nurse) . I look up Cme's: educational credit education for medical professionals.
Happy Thursday Elizabeth!! Weight vs no obesity consistently, it's a pros and cons game. I choose not to have heart problems, Sleep apnia, strokes etc...Everyone's metabolism is different. Life is choices. Pick your poison. I choose to be healthy, it saves on a lot of other problems down the line. It's not a short cut. It's a life saver to put you and keep you on track. Does anyone want a widow maker heart attack? These drugs also change mind set consistently. 🦋🦋~Peter PS- Hopefully some insurance companies will not look at what they need to pay now because what they pay later without the GLP's will cost them a lot more. I know its a numbers game but I can't see how these anylists can't see two steps ahead...And as far as price access...I SMH.
Speak of things we haven't done in years or haven't been able to do Ever do to our weight? Santa brought me roller blades for Christmas! I haven't been in skates for 25 years! And I'm So looking forward to getting out there with my 7 and 8 year olds this summer!
🦋🦋🦋 My first tattoo was a butterfly with 2 Cor. 5:17! I am back on meds!!!!! My shots are delivered tomorrow and I am so freaking excited! Still paying out of pocket but I'm BACK!!! What has me even more hyped is the FDA allowing Zepbound for the treatment of OSA! I will be calling my insurance after the beginning of the year to see what it is going to take but what a door to be opened!!! Happy dancing mentally over here. Things are definitely looking up! 😃😃😃
🦋 🦋 🦋 finally got caught up with all your videos!!! This is the first year I didn't gain weight over Christmas....thank you!!! You are simply the best!
🦋 I got some 4# weights that I can start incorporating into my workouts from my daughter for Christmas, and some gift cards to buy new clothes which is desperately needed. Merry Christmas to you & your family. Thanks for all the info you share with us!
🦋 🦋🦋🦋🦋 Trying not to worry about compounded trizepitide going away because my health insurance will not cover it - even though ny bmi was high & I am now prediabetic. Setting up a little exercise room in my house, working on good habits (water, protein, sleep) and doing self care things that do not revolve around food. Praying the new year will bring changes with my insurance company coverage. 🙏✨️
I so agree with the false dichotomy. I just started on this journey and I can already see the necessity of the lifestyle changes. The GLP1s are making those changes far more effective when your starting point is obesity. It's both. Thanks for sharing this Countess!
🦋🦋🦋Have a blessed day, Elizabeth. I look forward to your videos. I've been on MJ since October 2024, primarily for type 2 diabetes. It's been a Godsend. A1C lowered to 6.1. I started 7.6 July 2023. The weight loss has been a bonus, down 20lbs. Between food intake and working out, I'm seeing a difference. 🙏
Merry Christmas Elizabeth, Gab from Australia here. Just sat down to watch your latest video and wanted to let you know that the World Health Organisation is not shortened to “who” but the letters are read out as in W. H. O. Just a small thing but I thought I should let you know. Now, I have my morning coffee and will watch the rest of the video. It is going to be a hot one here today getting up to 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees for you) but it looks like we could have a storm as well. I hope everyone had a wonderfully Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year as well. I too am coming up to two years on this medication (31 December) and it has changed my life for the better. You will soon be at maintenance level and I cannot wait to see how you manage it. You are looking so beautiful. You are simply glowing with health. I look forward to the next year of your videos and, of course, continuing to help the newbies in the free encouragement Facebook group. As an old hand at this now, 9 months in maintenance, my goals for the new year are to concentrate more on increasing my exercise (I want to play tennis again but need to be fit enough to run around for that) and getting my plant channel up and running now that I don’t have to spend so much time thinking about weight and what I put in my mouth every second of the day. Lots of love to everyone out there.
🦋🦋🦋 Other than staying on track and trying to eat enough due to being sick I'm just focused on recovering from Shingles... NOT a fun time. ty ty for your videos
30 min Power Yoga, 5 min core, Done. Hope to do 30 min on the bike later on. Trying to get my end of year Peloton goals completed. Gem bites taste too good and cost too much, imo. Not sure they provide enough daily nutrients to merit the cost. They taste great though. Seem healthy. I have only ONE more pound to go to hit my ultimate goal. I tried on my old bikinis the other day and my mind was blown. I had done almost the same amount of working out and still the weight climbed on over the decades. It is indeed 80% what you eat and 20% workout. Workout is 100 % important anyway, for numerous reasons. You look great Elizabeth. 🦋 Soon enough you will be in maintenance mode!
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 Today was a rest day, but I did all the other things: drank my LMNT, tracked my calories, got in my protein, hit my fiber goals, etc. 84 lbs down! 💪🏻 😘
I am so sorry for you and know the pain. My Grandmother died of MS. She had the nerves cut to her legs. I will not battle with you. I am not what you think. God bless you.
@MARTHALGEORGE. One must think before they speak. It is cowardice to delete a valid scientific rebuttal which you did. Please don't bless me when it is not meant. This channel is about authenticity.
🐛🦋 A butterfly for me means transformation. When my husband died 20ish years ago, my whole life changed. And it's changing again due to this journey. 25# lost. May not seem like alot, however BMI was 29 and going higher. PCOS, endometriosis, gall bladder disease. I was miserable, pain, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue. I am happier in my body, bloodwork pending. May be able to ditch some of my meds too! Penicillin also was the first rea Antibiotic ! Which led to soooo many others. Great time to be alive and be able to live long enough to see the benifits!! Dental appt today & day after shot, all is well. 🙃
Thank you so much for sharing. And you've also motivated me to read a book or an audiobook more about antibiotics and penicillin... I'm now fascinated!
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 I am 3 pounds away from being over-weight instead of obese. I did my injection in my left arm today which is where my most weight loss has been. I would love to start the new wear with a BMI under 30. I'm not sure if that will happen but that has been my mini-goal.
🦋🦋 Who has been lucky enough to take the shot and still be able to eat anything they want like old times? Right off the side effects stop checked me and I HAD to modify my diet in order to not spend all day in the bathroom 🤔. I don't think W.H.O. really understands the un advertised working of these drugs, the underbelly. I get more judgmental looks when I say I'm on a GLP one from people who look at me and say oh you're taking a medication like it just is magic and I don't do anything but sit around the house and eat bon bons and it magically takes pounds away. So, I don't Tell anyone anymore because that's what people think you are not on it. This is still a medication and I think the media needs to start making it look all shiny and you like a unicorn it is still a medication I mean we might as well be taking a steroid it's not glamorous it's really not and it's not magical but we work with it and then that's when the good things happen but you have to work with it.
4:35 Not all but there are definitely some who look at this as a shortcut; I see it every time someone says they are stuck and then lots of people offer solutions like have you talked to a dietitian; are you working out, etc and they have reasons why that isn’t it or why those solutions aren’t helpful . So I think in some cases (definitely not all) - people are not willing to do the same level of work that you are - just my opinion
I have a question about the GEM bites. You know when you take vitamins on an empty stomach and it makes you feel sick, is that the same with GEM bites or different since they are more food like?
What is the discount card you refer to that brings Zepbound down to $650 a month? I've been prescribed it but can't afford it since my insurance won't cover it despite being pre-diabetic and having sleep apnea.
🦋 this is a great time to be alive! Zepbound has been a blessing for me and I know it changed the future of my health in countless positive ways… I am so grateful 🎉
🦋 love The gem vitamins and I am so grateful for glp-1 meds to help my relationship with food, adopting movement, dietary help, and strength training. Elizabeth you for keeping me focused and consistent , my life has changed so much. Life is wonderful!!
🦋 Watched your video while at the gym. Elliptical and walked on the track! 🙂. I tried gembites at your recommendation and signed up for the subscription. They just reached out to let me know that I might qualify to use my HSA for them. I had to fill out some info for review and it came back that I qualified to use my HSA, which is awesome!! Details are on their website if others are interested!! ❤

@ that’s too bad. I would think the side effects would be awful. I had some candy last night and it made me nauseous for a bit.
@@michellesharpe5976 wow! That’s intense. It’s crazy how this medication impacts people so differently.
I watch when I get ready !!! Every day is helping me sooo much! 🦋🦋🦋🦋
