What is your opinion on the liv lurra 1 vs trek roscoe 8?

In the market for a beginner hardtail trail bike. Just came across this bike. What is your opinion on giant forks and the specs on the lurra 1? Do you think the specs/equipment justify price (1800)?

I've never ridden a Giant fork before, but from what I've read it's supposed to be a pretty decent fork. I think that for the money the specs are decent, but definitely not the best deal in mountain biking. If you are looking for a women's specific hardtail mountain bike, there is one bike that I would recommend instead (assuming you don't mind not sitting on the bike in person before you buy) and that the Vitus Sentier 27 VRW. It only costs $1400, has a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork, similar geometry, a better drivetrain, and just a solid overall build. The only negative is that it's online only.
But if you need to sit on the bike first, then I like the Liv Lurra. I hope this helps, but if you have any questions please let me know and I'll answer to the best of my ability. Thank you for the comment!

@@BikeHombre I’m not set on womens specific, but thanks for the the sentier recommendation I will check it out. I’ve also checked out a Ragley Marley 1.0. Are you familiar with that particular bike?

@@holliedekraai4137 Since you're not looking at womens specific hardtails, then the options expand dramatically. I'm very familiar with the Ragley Marley, I actually owned the Ragley Piglet, which is the steel version of the Marley (and I currently own a Ragley Mmmbop) and that bike was incredible. I see that right now that they have the Marley 1.0 for $1,230US at Chain Reaction, which is an incredible deal
If you are choosing between the Marley and the Lurra, 100% get the Marley (I would recommend it over the Sentier as well). It is much cheaper, a better build, and the bike will grow with you. The bike is crazy fun to ride, is easy to pedal with, but it can shred as well. So my vote is the Marley, I think that you will love it and at $1,200 on sale, I don't think there is a better deal for a hardtail that's as capable and fun.

One last question for you. I think you helped me with which bike to go with. I’m thinking the Marley. Could you tell me as far as sizing, are ragley’s size charts pretty accurate? According to the chart, I’m a size small. This is one of those bikes I can’t sit on to try, so wanted to get someones take (who is familiar) on ragleys sizing.

@@holliedekraai4137 The sizing is spot on, at least for me. I am 5'10", which puts me right at the top of the Medium sizing and it fits wonderful. My recommendation if you are unsure is to check out one of the Ragley Owner Groups on Facebook to see if someone is the exact same height as you and confirm. But I'm confident with their sizing. Whichever bike you decide to go with, let me know how you like it once you get and put a couple of rides in. Thank you and good luck!
