Just a note. 06:31 he shows that "plastic thingy" barb on top and talks about sliding it out of the mechanism. I thought it was in the direction of the barb and I would have to depress that and pull it out like an electrical conection and spent forever trying to wrench it swearing like a sailor. Nope, It slides out sideways towards the interior of the car. Mine was tight and I had to wedge a screwdriver and twist to get it off. It's just as tough to slide it back on. Good luck y'all.
Great video. Thanks for showing the details on the inside of the door panel. It really helps to know how that hooks on back there. Thank you for taking the time to make this. It helps me feel more confident taking of the panel without breaking the plastic mounts. Done it several times on other cars.
WMCknigify - was wondering if this is pretty much the same procedure for a '99 Expedition? Both my passenger doors will not unlock from my remote or from inside. I can manually open them from the inside. They both try to come up, but only the rear passenger will come up occasionally.
Will replacing this part fix the problem of the door not opening from the outside? It unlocks and opens from the inside like it should. Thanks in advance.
Does this fix all the doors or just 1 door that u put the actuator on ? Because for me all the doors sound like they want to lock/unlock but in a dying sound

I’m having trouble with my 04 expedition same problem, got the actuator replaced but now the rods are disconnected and I’m not sure how they go back
Showed nothing

hairstylisttracyca sounds like they may be a similar problem
What year is this vehicle? might help with people looking for their year model.
J Quiznos hi, I mention in the opening, it’s a 2003
@@wmcknigify thanks! I stopped the vid when I saw the trim. I knew at that point it wasn't my vehicle.
J Quiznos no problem, thank you

philip kent I doubt it, sounds like the cable from the rear handle to the lock is broken on yours.

MOBBinfluenced hello, each door has an actuator. Odd that all would go out at the same time but guess anything is possible
@@wmcknigify true and ok thank you so much
Your video is very interesting and i wanted to say thank you and it helped me alot.
Hector Cajas Thank you Hector
Will that help fix the screech sound when my doors lock?
I really don't know
Lmao I have the same sound coming from my drivers door lock, I'm sure it will fix it, it's the gears in the unit grinding.
Ok, but how do I open the door in order to get the panel off?
I can't get the cover of without the door open lol, it's the driver's side rear door. Most of the screws are in the door jamb
Sorry, I was thinking of the rear door. I don't know know how to get a passenger side open. Have you searched for this problem?
K Love in the background? God bless you sir!
Video drags out with useless info, and narrative is like listening to 5 year old playing a video game.
@@PeteMartinez-s4n thank you, but didn’t ask your opinion on anything. When you post some vids, let us know. Merry Christmas
@wmcknigify
You asked for the world's opinion when you post property in public that no longer belongs to You, dumb ass.
This is for a well verse individual it's still a guess from this video thanks anyway.
How do you fix the door rattling?
Luis Maldonado not sure, you'll have to figure out what the issue is, probably have to open it up
