Around 7:52 you can see the adjuster star wheel oriented to the right. After reassembly, around 9:55, you have the star wheel oriented to the left. It looks to me like you assembled it the wrong way around. My 2015 Expedition has a rubber plug that can be removed from the backing plate so the adjuster can be turned with everything all assembled. With the adjuster backwards, it would be hard or impossible to adjust through that access hole.
Lol didn't even replace pads! 😅 4 hrs later said to hell w this, and put adjuster back on backwards... seriously would take this down ..try another time.
DEVINE SPARK sorry about that, but that was such a pain, it took both hands and a lot of not so nice words. However, I later find out there is a tool to make it easier.
An above average DIY video but to much talk about what you are going to do without video of how you did it. You discussed that might have trouble getting rotor off but video skipped to "thank god it came of without any problem" without showing how you got it off. Most DIY can benefit from tips on how to remove rusted rotors. You explained that reason for project was to get to emergency brakes and how should be able to remove brake shoes but skipped to "got it all put back together" with comments about how much effort it took. Additionally, the old rotor and disc brake pads looked great without needing replacing. Video shows manipulating star adjuster but did you get emergency brake working any better??
Scot Deabs Thank you for watching. I don't attempt to video while working. My style is to tell you what I'm going to do, then tell you if I had any issues and what it took to resolve. Otherwise you'll be watching the camera get great shots of the floor or ceiling or jumping all over the place. Since the rotor came off easily, there was nothing to share. The pads and rotors were original, I just replaced while in there. I also tell folks if they want or feel like they can do better to please post your work for us. We're all here to learn and we all learn from different methods. I'm not a pro, just an everyday Joe like you, trying to help folks. God bless.
Scot Deabs I understand. Again since I'm not a mechanic it took me a little while to get them correct. I've read that if you have a caliper measure it goes much better.
I think I would take this video down. It was painful to watch. Use the right tools when you do the job, especially if you're going to post a how-to video of your work. Always use a brake adjustment caliper when installing a new rotor and/or new parking brake shoes. There's not supposed to be any "tension" there between the shoes and rotor. There's supposed to be a .015" clearance, which you set when you use a brake adjustment caliper tool.
@xHamfistedx: In the 2003-2006 Expedition it is simply not possible to adjust the eBrakes from behind the rotor plate, thereby requiring you to remove the rotor to enable you to adjust the eBrakes. If you use a Gearwrench Brake Resetting Gauge# 3377 you can determine the proper clearance between the eBrake lining and the rotor in order to properly adjust your eBrakes. In other Ford vehicles I've noticed that the eBrake cable can be tightened for eBrake adjustment, but I have not yet seen an adjustment mechanism built into the eBrake system of the 2003-2006 Expedition. However, I believe that this issue was resolved starting with the 2007 Expedition. But, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Steven Trovato excellent point, thank you

Didn't tell me how to remove the eBrake
Why didn't you show hiw to install upper spring 😊

@@wmcknigify Roger it's your style. Did this improve the emergency brake and/or did it need any adjustment??
