In the province friesland is a sport called "Fierljeppen" ..they jump over a canal..making use of a big pole!! The strenght and skills it takes..is really impessive to look at!! And eventhough it is in my own country..but the Friezen...speak in a ( strong) dialect!!! Most of the time there are dutch subtitlles on tv when this dialect is spoken...because otherwise we would not be able to understand!!
