11.83s (estimate) - 100m

  • Not official but i think video editing (used DaVinci Resolve 15) to track timing can benefit a lot and set a benchmark.
I usually start the timing at the first frame of movement and complete the timing whatever body part crosses the line to make the final decision.
Edit: Due to the clock having recorded up to .30, apparently the actual time is 11.83s

I ran a "laser timed" 11.30 in High School, and I remember during a 100m race my junior year, a kid in my heat ran 10.8. He was so far ahead of me that I clearly remember thinking while running "How the hell can he run that fast" lol

Good run. The problem areas you could work on are. 1. Upright mechanics, 2. Speed endurance, 3. Having a relaxed mind, 4. Not rushing out of your start.
Personally this can be generalized as follows: during your sprint, it may be a short distance but you still have time. Tension and tightness are your enemies. Gotta just chill out when you run.

Hey bro good to see you doing well and progressing! That advice is spot on! When I learnt to relax I went from 11.20 to 10.96 in an instant. The art of sprinting fast is the most intriguing topic to me and the more you educate yourself the faster you can run by implementing it all. All the best bro

Yeah i like that advice. Played as a winger in rugby for many years. Very good advice. The details of sprinting mechanics are so under-rated and never taught in most contact sports even when speed is very important. Though i can only speak for rugby.

Why are people saying their age and stating that they're faster to someone that is trying to improve? Who cares? Anyways, I want to say that 11.83s is pretty good. If you keep working on your speed and form, you may be able to shred the time. Congrats!
P.S: I'm pretty slow at the 100m and my best time was like 13.8 lol.

If 30 parts of a second in the editor are 100 hundredths of a second (1 second), how many hundreths of a second are 25 parts ? 25 x 100, the result is divided by 30 equals: 83 hundreths of a second which translates to 11.83 seconds

Like all the other videos of some super slow guy, why is this on the internet? Why? I ran faster than that when I was young, but there was no internet and I wouldn't have posted it if there was because an 11.8 is slower than molasses.

There was no intention to the post of this video. i see youtube as a library where I can generally store my videos and look back as time goes on lol. And I didn't expect to attain much viewing either.
Thanks for the view tho. You can go gaze upon Bolt's 9.58 if you want to redeem your time lmao
