I’m from Yorkshire England. Big fan of your channel Nick. I actually use to represent my high school in the triple and high jump and the county of North Yorkshire in both triple and high jump. Aged 14 I ranked 2nd in the entire UK winning silver at the national counties meet for high jump. After school I competed for Richmond and Zetland Harriors at many of the British counties championship events in the early to mid 2000’s and won a fair few medals including 3 Golds making me one of the top high jumpers in GB. My PB is 2.23m! I had realistic dreams of making Team GB for the Beijing olympics in 08 until Germaine Mason switched from Jamaican to GB and started dominating everyone here back in 06. He’d beat my PB by 5-10cm on a bad day for him so my dreams ended there and then. If he hadn’t made the switch we could have met in Beijing!! Anyway I would have loved to cross the pond and taken part in one of your videos especially a high jump one. Not so easy though as I’m 38 years old with bills and mortgage to pay and struggle to book time off from work at such short notice. Hopefully our paths will cross one day as I’m a big fan of your channel. If you ever decide to cross the pond yourself and make a video in the UK I guarantee I’d be there. Much love Nick and all the guys and gals that take part in your videos. Keep them coming and keep on running bro.
Hey, DeMari here! Just wanted to give a thank you to Nick for letting me sneak in late! I really wasnt expecting the field to be that stacked. I also had not trained at all after state which was 2 weeks prior to this. My PR's from state are 21.76 in the 200, and 10.75 in the 100. The man who won it all (Cam's) PR is a 21.18, so losing to him is honestly an honor in a sense. He's also a college freshman, and I'm a highschool sophomore. Being able to compete with someone at such a high level is a big pleasure!
Hello DeMari! No shame in losing to Cam. Cam is an incredibly talented sprinter. And you are too!! You keep training hard and you are going to go very far in this sport. Thank you for taking time out of your day to join us at this event!!!!

Just from the stride alone i was confident that Cam will win. It definitely was a stacked lineup but Cam had the most effective style of running. Gavin was a bit faster but his technique was burning more energy and you can tell his muscles were fatiguing fast towards the end. Cam had the most effective technique. His upper body wasn't moving much left and right just hands and legs were on fire 🔥
Gavin surprised me. I didn't expect him to keep up with a Juco champ and a state champ. He must be a pretty high level track athlete as well. Get these people ! They are sooo good! They also pair easier and connect way better. The battery doesn't run out when they sit idle anymore but not turned off. These are really a refined product. You can also use them to sing along to songs and practice your vocals. Do karaoke. Without blocking your ears and without blasting speakers - you can record your voice without much extra sound coming in :) Use them around the house like when I am doing dishes or out tanning ... even mowing lawn ! If you put in earplugs (which come with the headphones) and turn the headphones on you won't hear the lawnmower but you will hear the music ! Only issue is if you have enough subcutaneous fat they don't conduct sound very well. Most runners are not fat enough for that to happen even if you're overweight they still work.
